Zerostorm : Same story for the 8th gym xD

I wouldn't care if sceptile and swampert got mega's. They'll never make ubers like blaziken with speed boost, unless mega swampert had sap sipper. Even on regular forms blaziken is already ahead. Mega Swellow would be interesting, though I doubt they'll mega some basic bird like that.

I'd love a mega flygon, mega metagross would be cool as well.
And that water/fairy mega milotic is interesting. It'll be a bulky special azumarril, so to speak. #DragonSlayer

Know what would be super awesome? Dragon/Fairy Altaria. It gets moon blast, it would lose half of its weakness to ice, be immune to its weakness dragon. And it gets earthquake for poison types, and possibly some steel types.

FunnyFurret : -face palm- knew I was forgetting an important mega I completely agree with a dragon fairy mega altaria, that would be simply amazing. I don't know if this is true for anyone else but I think I always found the flying gym in those games the hardest due to Winona's altaria. The Dragon Dancing fluff ball completely wrecked shop with me xD. 

There seems to be a bit of confusion though on what I meant about the starters. I fully agree that Sceptile and Swampert will most likely never be at the uber that Blaziken is. I meant match blaziken for its mega as in since Blaziken had a mega the other two should have one as well. Hope that clears that confusion.

Just thought of something while writing this. What if they made a mega for Spinda xD. Image Spinda getting the same treatment as Mawile and becoming awesomely powerful. That would be something. Though if they did, I wonder exactly what it would do.  Drunken Fist Spinda? That could be some scary stuff xD. Hmm... well anyway out of the megas I've listed Mega Spinda seems like the most unlikely (and most unusual but interesting) one of them. Anyways like I said, cant wait to see these games

I'm really looking forward to this, I am hoping that they do a good job on this remake. A lot of my friends are hoping they will do the same for emerald, which they may or may not do, but either way I am happy with a sapphire or ruby remake because I like them both. I hope that they do a mega swampert and sceptile because that would just be plain awesome in my opinion. 


I really think they should give metagross a mega evolution, a skarmory and a flygon would be pretty cool too though, especially since flygon is so looked over because of all of the more powerful dragon types. 

Nonetheless I look forward to seeing some gameplay, and its official release! 

I'm really excited for these remakes because Pokemon Sapphire was my first game. I just hope they don't replace Brenden or May like what they did to Lyra in HG/SS. However, I do want them to have a redesign but not too drastic I want them to look like the Brenden and May in my profile picture. I also want to see other things in this 3d world like the space station, Sootopolis city, secret bases, contest, Fortree city, and basically the whole game! But I really can't wait for these games to come out.

This is a dream come through. My only fear is that they might change the factors that made Hoenn unique (trumpets in basically every soundtrack or the unique towns like fortree or sootopolis). Other than that I don't mind that some of my favorite pokemon wouldn't get megas, but the pokemon I really want to have megas are swampert, sceptile, and metagross. The most important in 3D ,and it would be fascinating to see Ever Grande City and the ocean in 3D.

I'm really excited for this because of how soul silver and heart gold turned out. This should turn out even better and it's probably going to be completely in 3d! I hope there's something new like the Pokeathlon seems like I'm the only one who miss that the mini games were fun and the prizes were useful. Probably isn't going to be happen but I hope for something like it at least.

This brings the question though will they ever make a remake of the 4th Gen games? And will there ever be a remake of a remake like some kind of remake of fire red and leaf green?

All i'm going to say is: I just hope that they don't ruin the music. Other than that, it's going to be awesome. I guarantee it.

As a side note, here's my "Top 5 things i want to see in 3D Hoenn":

5 - Route 113
4 - Dive areas
3 - 3D Flannery 8)
2 - Meteor Falls
1 - 3D Brendan and May

Also, i'm pretty sure this remakes are going to be HG/SS style (A remake of the original G/S, but with everything that Crystal had). So, do you guys think that we're going to have R/S Brendan/May or the Emerald version of the to? I'm talking about the clothes ^^

As a Swampert fan, I. Can't. Wait! For its Mega Evolution.

Blaziken already has one, so the other starters must have one to have an equal spotlight.

To be honest, i would go for the Esmerald remake rather than those two, as its Metagame stadyum was much more developed. But, if i had to pick among the two, i'd go Saphire.

I am so excited for this remake. Hoenn had the best evil organisations (Magma and Plasma), the best gym leaders (Flannery, Winona, Tate and Liza), introduced the first double battles and some amazing new pokemon (Ludicolo, Sceptile, Flygon, Mawile!). 

I'm looking forward to play these games with the simple changes that you know are going to be consistently in the newer generations. Third gen still had the Attack and Special Attack as type specific - meaning Pokemon like Absol whose Attack was amazing never got good STAB with Dark being Sp. Attack specific. This means that some Pokemon who seemed a bit disappointing in the original III Gen are now going to be their new epic self's.

Looking forward to seeing the new Fairy typing in this Gen as well!

5 slightly more specific hopes are:

5) Pokémon following you - like in HG and SS
4) The return of Dive and underwater battles!
3) Mega-evolutions for Swampert and Sceptile - I really want a Water/Ground Bulky Mega!
2) The return of move tutors - major disappointment with X and Y. I didn't want to have to replay older games for Conkeldurr with Knock off or Gardevoir with Hyper Voice
1) Changes to Elite Four and Gym Leader teams - I would like to see some of the newer evolutions within this remake, and megas. I want Wattson to have a Magnezone, Wallace to have a Mega (maybe Mega Milotic if they make new ones) and Steven Stone to have Mega Aggron! I felt that X and Y didn't have enough trainers with Megas! I would of liked to face a few more in the Elite 4. 

bickerswag : I guess it's only fair that the two other starters from Hoenn get a Mega Evolution too right?

One of the things that i really want to see, is how they're going to fit all Gen 4, 5 and 6 pokes in Hoenn. Are they going to do Black and White 2 style (Where the pokes are everywhere: Wild in the grass, as hidden events...) or they're going to do Black and White 1 style (You can't access Pokes that weren't originally in Hoenn until you beat the Champion)...

The hype is real for this one.

They better not be taking the trumpets away from all those good songs in hoenn. 

Stuff like Archie/Maxie, Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza and more just won't be the same without them.

This is going to be awesome 3d graphics in hoenn. More mega evolutions like Dragonite and hopefully scalamence.
 
  But the one thing I wonder is what they are going to call dragonite's mega stone. Maybe dragonite.
 
 I seriously cannot wait for these games they are 2nd on my list of games to get. Number 1 is super smash bros.

I would really love to see pokemon like salamence and dragonite with mega evolutions, but I would most especially like to see Metagross with one, he would look so cool and his stats would be like off the wall, especially with attack and defense. I really hope they throw more mega evolutions in the game, and also have them used by trainers in the elite 4. That is just my personal opinion since I felt like the elite 4 for X and Y were too low, and they really should've had more mega pokemon rather than just one mega gardevoir. Those are just some of the things I hope to see in the new game.

Mega Sceptile will have Lightning Rod for its ability and Mega Swampart will have Swift Swim for its ability. Mega Diancie's ability is unknow, and Mega Kyogre and Groudon are known as Ancient Devolution. Stephen Stone is said to be after mega evolution and has a Mega Charizard X, the item for mega evolution for this game is the Mega Bangle. (Information posted in this post is taken off of Serebii)

Yeah, I heard about them coming out sometime in November on The Pokemon Database. Really looking forward to them coming out! It's not confirmed, but the legendary Pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre, are meant to gain a new form, or have a Mega-Evolution.

Yes yes YES. I LOVE the way the enemy teams look. Steven's sprite, and our characters' sprites look great as well.

Not sure if I'm all to in on the lightningrod mega sceptile, when it would already 4X resist it. Could be handy for doubles. Mega swampert is how I expected it to be. Swift swim will be nice to boost its speed. Have a feeling rain and sun teams are going to get a lot stronger.

As for mega diancie, I really don't know. It's still a rock to me.

'Ancient devolution', does that mean they 'devolve'?

FunnyFurret : It's a mega evolution...technically. Not sure what they were thinking with the names, but it's there, and they're still a mega evolution. Weird term.
