I had read everything but that part. It's kind of disappointing that the bonus points weren't rewarded though....

Surgiac : It wouldn't have mattered anyway. The point differential between the players would be the same regardless, since everyone who participated screenshoted the game over screen.

Surgiac : Yeah, everyone has gotten the Game over screen, except Leggy himself, so if he added the 5,000 bonus points, it would be giving everyone who made a submission free 5,000 points, so nothing would happen.

Silence.

"Not so fast!" silverthundr cried. "I have a hidden immunity idol."

"Bring it on up." legacyme3 replied.

Upon request, silverthundr presented his idol.

"This is indeed a hidden immunity idol, which means all votes cast against silverthundr tonight are invalid. So here's the deal, each of you will vote again. You cannot vote for megamanmaniac, and you cannot vote for silverthundr. Both are presently immune. You may vote for any other player remaining in the game."

I'll keep a long story short. I was with my girlfriend all last week. I had planned to update two days ago, but then I had to chase my cat, and she's more important than a game thread. I had planned to post last night, but I had a previous obligation I had to honor. Point is, updates will be more or less sporadic now that we're getting to the end of the game. School is about to start, etc...

VIDEO! Someone voted out! Who? Let's find out!

The players returned to camp, down to a measly 8. There were already 2 players on the jury. That number was only going to keep growing.

While they wondered if they made the right choice, they found a mysterious box back at their camp site.

Upon opening this box, they say a note, and nothing else.

On the note, it said,

"You thought you were done with teams,
One for all, all for one,
You will team again for one last day,
It's in the name of fun,
So don't delay, don't hold back,
Let loose all your fury,
Because if you lose, or your teammate sucks,
You could find yourself on the jury."

Ominous note in hand, they pondered what teams would be made, and put their head to bed.

Upon waking, they found legacyme3 had come to them this time.

"Good morning everyone. Rather than have you all hike out to the Tribal area, we may as well do the first part of the task here."

He presents a basket.

"In this basket are four sets of numbers. Two number ones, two number twos, two number threes, and two number fours. You will be partnered up randomly with the person who has the same number as you do. And no, you cannot trade partners."

Gulps were audibly heard.

"Today, a team will win immunity, meaning two people will be safe from Tribal Council. Unfortunately, there's a catch. That also means two people will be voted out tonight. The two people voted out don't have to be a team."

Silence.

"Understood?"

Nods.

"Then let's get to drawing lots."

In order, the members stepped up and grabbed their numbers.

"Sonicmcmuffin, number three."

"Silverthundr, number four."

"Deg2000, number one."

"Megamanmaniac, number four, you are on silverthundr's team."

"pacman1755, number two."

"EideticMemory, number one, you are on deg2000's team."

"Surgiac, number two, you are on pacman1755's team."

"That means Blubcreator is number three, and is on sonicmcmuffin's team."

The teams stood together.

"Now, to be perfectly clear, these teams are for THIS challenge and THIS challenge alone. The challenge? Gradius III.

RULES
1. High Score mode. Duh.
2. Your score and your teammate's score will be added together to get a team score. Highest team score wins and secures immunity at Tribal Council.
3. Score must be readily visible on your score.
4. Screenshot must look similar to the following

I never thought I would see us in teams again. I also wouldn't have guessed that nobody would make a reaction post in the past few weeks. It seems that nobody really cares about this sort of thing. Only half the field is participating so far.

pacman1755 : There's really nothing for me to say. I mean, I guess I can say that I won immunity the last two challenges, and now I'm paired with the most inactive player left in this competition. It's not that I don't care or anything. It's just that there's nothing to really discuss.

Since we're about halfway through this matchup, I figured I'd provide an update, given that this is a team competition....

Presently, team 3 has a lead of over 300,000 points over team 4.

Team 2 doesn't have any points at all, and team 1 has one half hearted score.

There are still a few days left, but if you don't want to go home tonight, it would be a good idea to try and win immunity.

The thing about Gradius is that once you lose all your power ups in a late level or even worse in the middle or near the end of a level you're basically screwed.

That's basically what happened to me. I ggot careless and just got wrecked :p. I managed to snag and extra 1000 points before I lost all my lives.

Blubcreator : Indeed, I've only played the game 3 or 4 times so i'm not used to the attack patterns and such... Hopefully i shall improve my score further.. 

silverthundr : Hey silver. Can you do me a favor and play. There's no way I can win this by myself.

This has been a competition between team Bluffin and Megathundr really. I'm tired now and I never thought anything could ever make me hate Gradius this much. I used to love this game.

Sweat poured down the faces of the competitors (except for silverthundr, who spent the majority of the competition sleeping in the shade).

As they cast him a leery glance, they turned their attention back to legacyme3.

"That was easily the most thrilling competition to date, I should really put you guys on teams more often..."

"Please, no!" they all screamed at once.

This woke silverthundr.

"Huh, what's going on?"

After explaining to him the competition was over, they decided to move on with their day.

You can vote for megamanmaniac and EideticMemory or you can vote for pacman1755 or silverthundr, or you can vote for any other two users. Except for sonicmcmuffin and Blubcreator. A post to help the update.

I wish you guys would post between updates so I didn't have to chase someone down.

Anyway! Update! Video! Huzzah!

The players returned home. All six of them. It would be a slugfest from here on out. The smiles of the departed players were sorely missed, as around the campfire that night, there were nothing but frowns and grimaces.

Of the 6 left, there were 2 from each tribe.

sonicmcmuffin and silverthundr from Kengen.

deg2000 and Blubcreator from Kiga.

And despite entering tribal with 4 members, and a huge advantage, Hokori found themselves down to 2 as well, in EideticMemory, and pacman1755.

It was assumed by many that they had an alliance, but dissent among the members caused a split that the other players were able to exploit. In fact, it was rumored, but not confirmed, that the Hokori tribe may have turned on their own, in megamanmaniac and Surgiac.

It all led to a very upsetting night around the fire. No sleep was had, and everyone was silent.

The next day, there'd be a new challenge. The next day, the deadlock would be broken one way or another.

It didn't matter what tribe you started on. Now, they were Uragiri. And they were all alone really.

They arrived at the challenge to find... that there was no game set up. For once, the challenge wasn't readily obvious. Then they approached legacyme3, and he surprised them.

"Today's challenge is Vizzed Survivor: Trivia Edition."

Ugh.

"Over the course of this game, there have been numerous fun facts. Today, you will all get a chance to show your knowledge of this game. The rules are as follows..."

RULES
1. I will update this very post with questions. (You will have to check in frequently, or risk missing a question)
2. You will send the answer to those questions to my PM Box. This is very important, because more than one person can be right, and if you spoil the answer here, anyone can answer and get credit.

If i win this challenge i'll probably have to look at my life... I shouldn't really win this due to the time zone... Mainly because well i'm sleeping when most of you are not.. Alas it could prove to be an adavantage but  i don't think leggy is going to update the question whilst he is asleep

I don't even get why you'd vote me. This is the point you want to vote out strong players, which I'm pretty clearly not.

But whatever, you can let the people who consistently win keep winning if you don't care to win, I guess.

Mega plays the best overall in the competition. He then get screwed over but still manages to come first (score wise) and he gets voted off but the screwee doesn't. Real nice...
