Can somebody give me a rundown of the normal things posted here? Because I just signed up and have no idea.

Seems like you are already off to a good start, making threads and all. Well, pretty much anything can be posted on Vizzed. You just have to look around for the right forums, and create a thread, or post in other threads based off of the subject of that forum. At any rate, I think you'll do just fine. Welcome to Vizzed.

Well a huge variety of stuff is posted here. You can tell by the stuff posted in different categories of forums. From games to movies to just general talk.

Basically it's just generally what the forums are.

Theres vizzed ville which has General Chat, Your Forum etc. Here you post stuff about yourself or other events. Just be sure to post in the correct forum. For example, this isn't completely wrong but seeing how it is your first post this may have been better in the newbie forum. You could have introduced yourself and asked for help there (or even the Help Forum).

Then there's places like Gamers Circle or Entertainment Avenue where you post about anything that follows the categories. If it's Movies you can talk about actors, directors...movies =p.

I could go on listing what to post in all the forums but it basically tells you that already and is self explanatory. You can basically post anything as long as it's appropriate, belongs in the right place, written properly and there's no dupe of it. Meaning there not already a thread about the same topic.

As for posting here are some tips you should follow:

- Try and keep posts 30+ words average. Try and contribute to the conversation and don't just make a one sentence post and run off. Try and actually give some insight on the topic if possible. Generally if you do that your posts should be more that 30 words and not complete spam.

- Proper grammar is key. It actually says beside your post editor to use proper grammar and proof read posts. Don't use words like "omg" "lol" or "how r u doing?". I used to do that way back when . That is just basically another form of spam.

- Keep it PG. There are places on the board for more mature conversations but you still have to keep it family friendly. So basically no swearing, flaming (insulting) or posting inappropriate pictures etc.

Other than that as long as it follows all rules you can post generally anything.

You can find another list here

If you need more help ask some of the moderators for assistance.

LinkOfHyrule : Good for you for asking your question, truly. Too many people are afraid to ask about what they don't understand, but if you aren't asking then you aren't seeking answers; if you don't seek the answer then you will never understand. It's a sad thing when people are content not to ask why or how, or what.

You probably noticed when you posted your question that you were sent to a page that said something like "Your thread of X words was posted for X Viz and you received 5 Viz for spellchecking your post". Any time you post on any page on the site you will get that message.
Similarly, anytime you rate videogame screenshots or videos, reviews, rating games, or pretty much anything you do also gives points. If you haven't taken the Newbie Quiz yet, do that and it will put you at a good start also.

So the question really isn't "What can I do to earn Viz," but "What CAN'T I do to earn it?" Basically, the answer to that is only things that would otherwise get you banned.

As far as what kinds of posts there are, Blub pretty much hit the nail on the head. Crazy House is probably the most popular forum (as far as I can tell), where you could literally find anything. There's also politics and religion, philosophy, everyday life things, not-so-everyday life things, and pretty much any other things you can think of.

Blubcreator : Sound about right?
