A few weeks ago, I had made the decision that I wanted my Vita more than I wanted my 3DS, so I ended up trading in my 3DS and Pokemon X. I was given 80 dollars and I was able to buy 4 games, along with a few other small items. It took me about 2 hours to pick the perfect combination of four games, however, I have heard a few good things about this game, so it was the first one that I decided to get. Normally, I am not s fan of games of this genre, but after playing the game for about an hour I had realized that I made the right choice because the game turned out to be very fun and addicting.

GRAPHICS 8/10

Personally, I feel that the graphics are the worst aspect of the game, yet they are still really good. I only say this is the worst aspect because this is the handheld version of the game, and in most cases, the graphics are a bit less effective in the handheld version. I don't mean that the graphics are less detailed, I just mean that they are a bit off. In some cases they can appear brighter and sometimes the color and tone changes a bit between the game. Aside from that, the graphics are fine. The characters look just as they do in their own game and the maps are beautiful. Each map has its own set of graphics and special effects that makes each of them unique and each one is done beautifully. The battle effects are also good, whether its a gunshot from Nathan Drake or an attack from Dante, they all have their own unique set of effects. If this was the console version, I probably would have given the graphics a perfect score, but for this version, I am going to give it a grade of 8 out of 10.

SOUND 10/10

As for the sound of the game, I personally think that this is the best category of the game. The game has great music and is highlighted by the song in the opening sequence. The song is called Finale by Madeon and the first time I heard it, I fell in love with it. Its not just that song that is worth listening to, almost every song in the soundtrack is at least good. After the music, you then have the basic sounds of the game. You have great voice acting and in game sound effects. From my point of view, the sound of the game deserves no less than a perfect score.

STORY 9/10

Next is the story, which is pretty good. There isn't a main story for the game in general, but when you play the story mode, each character that you choose from has its own unique story. Each story is very short of course, because the game itself revolves around the fighting, but there are stories there that are put together well and are at least entertaining. For the story, I give this game a 9 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 10/10

As for addictiveness, this game has a ton of it. This is the kind of game where you can pick the same character over and over, and pick the same map and opponent over and over, and never get bored of it. There was this one time where I went to practice mode and chose Nathan as my character. I chose 3 opponents and I turned points off, that was the match would never end. I spent the next 30 or so minutes in the same exact match, just killing everybody else over and over, and I never became bored of it. If the battery had not died, I would have just kept battling because it was so much fun. I must have played at least a hundred different matches with Nathan and I have not yet become bored enough of Nathan to pick a different character. This is a highly addicting game, and just like the sound, also deserves a perfect score.

DEPTH 10/10

Next is the depth and it will be hard to find another game that has more depth than this one. There is just so much to do that in my opinion, it could take you more than a year to beat the game 100 percent. If I am not mistaken, just to get 100 percent in story more with one character, you need to beat the mode in each of the three difficulties, which I believe may be 3 to 5 battles per difficulty. Then of course, there are more than a dozen or so characters, which means that to beat the entire story mode, if you never die, could take more than 100 battles. Then you have missions. First you have general missions, and then you have character specific missions. The character missions are just as long as the story mode, if not longer. I believe that each character gets about 15 to 20 missions on 3 different difficulties, which means that you could have to battle more than 5 times just to get one character to 100 percent. Then you have the unlimited practice mode which can be played with any character, any combination of 1 to 3 opponents, any difficulty, and any map. Then, to top that all of, you have online play where you can play random matches against all sorts of gamers of various skill levels across the world. As I had said earlier, it will be hard to find another game with more depth, and we have yet another perfect score.

DIFFICULTY 4

Don't let the difficulty levels scare you. Sure, the lowest difficulty level may be called HERO, but it is not hard at all. All you have to do to have a good time is learn what each button does and you might have to learn the moves and strengths of the characters you want to use. Aside from that, the game is very easy. If you are worried about how you will do, you just have to take one of the many tutorials, or just do a few practice rounds with your favorite character. For me, I find the game to be easy and for difficulty, I am going to give it a 4.

OVERALL 9

This is a great game that I believe everybody should play. There are just a few very minor problems with the game, but almost none of them actually affect the gameplay in a negative way. Overall, my score for this game is 9.
