Today I finally bought Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. I turned on the game only to go through a 3 minute guide... for Wii motion plus. I never even knew the motion plus thing was required to play some games, much less that a ZELDA GAME needed something like that. So that brings up the subject, did you ever need any fancy crud to play a game before?

I don't think I ave to be honest, I was aware that this game required a wii motion plus remote because one of my friends asked to borrow mine for this game, and I gave it to him. I am sorry that this happened to you though, they should really make it more clear that you need certain accessories to play a game, because it would really suck to buy it and then find out the hard way that you have to buy something else separately in order to play it. As far as I can recall, this hasn't happened to me, but I am sure you aren't alone, this kind of stuff probably happens all the time since they aren't always clear on the stuff you need to play a game beforehand.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is one of my absolute favorite games, along with Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.  I was willing to tolerate that walkthrough since I was so excited to play, and to be honest, it was well worth dealing with.  The game was just that good, and the motion controls made that game the great game it is.  It made Zelda a more tactical game, but didn't take away from its puzzle elements.  It merely added depth to an already great formula.  Play that game, beat it, then play it again in Hero Mode.  Go in with an open mind.  You won't regret it.

But to finally answer your question, UDraw Studio is one of those great flops to hit the market.  It features a pad that a bit difficult to get the hang of, unlike the Wii U touchpad, since you can only see what you're doing on the big screen.  This is something most DS game makers learned not to do, and it was disappointing to see it on the Wii and other consoles.  You can get it for cheap, and it's a fun experience if you go in with an open mind, willing to deal with this frustration.  But don't expect a masterpiece.  It's more of an experiment.

Mecha Leo : "One game that severly pi**ed me off with the wii mation pu- YOU KNOW WHAT?! I DONT CARE! FLINGSMASH MADE ME ANGRY!!!!! Sorry for like, um....all the caps, but Flingsmash made me mad. Why do I need to go and blow 50$ for a NEW controller?!!! Yes it might have cheaper, but that's beside the point. Flingsmash was a....good game, it was good, but the fact I didn't have wii motion plus and the fact that I could ONLY play it when I borrowed the w.m.p. just tainted the experience for me. it's like guitar hero for the ds. It did come with the add on (at least I think) but unless you had a ds with the Gameboy advance slot at the bottom of the ds (which I didn't since I had a dsi) YOU COULDNT PLAY IT! bottom line, flingsmash for the wii and guitar hero for the ds were good games, but the fact you needed an add on or a whole NEW controller for one and you needed a certain TYPE of console for the other (yes, it's a handheld, but again I don't care) ruined the experience for me." ~the words of Mega Mewtwo X

well, this looks like a script for a countdown........sorry about that!

I'd rather talk about the best expansion packs rather than the most annoying console add-ons/accessories.

I have not, at least I do not think that I have, been ripped off in that manner with gimmicky required add-ons, or the like. I have, however, been "ripped off" once. I purchased a copy of Prototype, and I very clearly had the required components to run the game on my computer, but the game refused to run, saying that my stuff was unsupported. I, of course, ended up being unable to return the game, and just sat there frustrated. I do not know if that counts, but that was my experience.

I have not been ripped off from add ons. My friends have told me that they kind of were, but it was not anything major, so it was easy to fix up and continue to play the game.

I believe the CoD Ghosts Add-Ons are terrible the character packs to play as characters in past infinity ward call of duty games, there are weapon skins and coming soon voice packs you know when a game starts the announcer says "Team Deathmatch" etc you can pay money for him to sound like: Snoop Dogg and various choices
