Luigi is the badass in my book, although it is debatable. The only reason Luigi gets so much hate is because a series of games is, of course, going to focus on the main character more than others. This leaves Luigi behind, usually as the second player or in-game NPC, and for this he gets picked on by people. There is also the Luigi's Mansion series, where he is shown to be wimpy. Although, if I was in a scary, dimly lit mansion packed to the brim with ghosts, death traps, and more that will try to kill me at any chance I get, I would be a little scared too. So, we have a misfit, constantly put aside brother who is picked out of a crowd for being a wimp. I would say this guy has it pretty bad...

HOWEVER

Then we have the Mario and Luigi series. In this series of epic RPG's, Luigi has been shown to be perfectly capable of keeping up with his brother, easily using his skills to plow through enemies in the game series' signature tag team duo. He even has powerful attributes Mario doesn't have, meaning he is unique from Mario, instead of being a simple clone.

So, whoever you favor is more of a personal preference, but I still prefer the Green-Garbed Ghostbuster over Mario, anyday.

I do like both plumbers, and I thought Luigi is ridiculous in amazingness.

It's because he gets a year for himself after 30 shadowed years, and he can make anyone lose or die by doing absolutely nothing. Even the best pokemon like Mewtwo got horribly beat in Melee from nothingness.

Luigi has one thing going for him, he has the power to manipulate space, why he doesn't use it more often is beyond me, but surely he'll use it in another game other than smash bros. Brawl and 4.

Yes, and no. He sucks ghost, but he doesn't actually suck. He's a great hero to be honest, he is not the badarse that nobody knows about, be he is the wimpy one. But the 'bad wimpy.' He's the lovable, cute, and wimpy type.No, he's not better than my personal favorite of the Mario franchise- well, - Mario.

I never thought Luigi sucked I was just never interested in using him. Just cause I don't like his side games or anything doesn't mean that he sucks.

I just like both of them period because Luigi has some perks that Mario doesn't have and then Mario is all around.  They are still good because in the rpgs and other games that I played, they seem to have something that makes them look out for each other even when they are going competitive with each other.  But if there is one thing that is cool about Luigi is his "wins by doing nothing" series on youtube from mario party to other games that just make it crazy that Luigi just has super luck to even beat hard coms without even moving.

No he does not because yeah he is kind of a wimp and is scared of almost anything but it's the fact that he can overcome those fears that makes him not suck plus he can jump 6 feet in the air that is impressive since even Mario cant jump that high

For those who never played Super Mario Brothers 2 on NES, Luigi was the power character.  His power jump made levels easy and his feet twiddling around and his super high bounce made enemies foolish.  Luigi is basically a cheat character for that game.

I adore Luigi more than the other Mario heroes, to be honest. Something about a character who will fight his way to victory despite being scared out of his mind or accepting second place is very commendable, I think. Plus, I think he has an adorable voice.
