Here's the Week 13 thread, any pre-matchup discussion can take place here. Just reminding you that I have to beat you twice in order to win. So in other words, if we play our matchup and I win, we have to do it all over again and I have to win again. It's going to be a long shot for me to beat him since I have to beat him twice. On top of that, he killed me the last time we faced each other so I'm definitely the underdog in this matchup.

Well ,this is it ,the finale of  the Winter 2014 NES Remix Netplay Tournament.  It's Between Jordanv78 (Winners Bracket) and Davideo7 (Losers Bracket). Good Luck you two ,may the best vizzed user win.

I was wondering what the advantage the Winners bracket would have for going undefeated. Hopefully I can use that to my advantage. I'm very much looking forward to playing.

Jordanv78 : The other possibility would be to let you pick all of the games but that'd probably be far too big of an advantage lol.

Yeah I'm very much looking forward to playing as well. Win or lose, it'll still be a fun event that could help spark interest in future events.

Jordanv78 and I played our matches tonight.

Jordanv78 picked Balloon Fight and I beat him 87,800 to 84,400. He had lead most of the time and if he hadn't died before me, he probably would have won.

I picked the Clu Clu Land and I beat him 17,820 to 17,020. Our scores were going back and forth the entire time and I think we both thought he won so it was a shock to us both when we found out that I ended up with the higher score.

Jordanv78 picked Pinball and I beat him 24,360 to 17,030. Neither of us have very much experience with this game so it could easily gone either way.

I picked Mario Bros and I beat him 60,320 to 34,310. Out of all the games played, this one I felt the most comfortable with.

Overall it was an awesome tournament, it couldn't have gone better and it couldn't have been played with a better opponent. Jordanv78 definitely through me some curve balls with the games he picked since I had been doing some practicing in Donkey Kong before the matchup based on the fact that he chose Donkey Kong in every matchup he played in the tournament.

Davideo7 : Yeah it was a lot of fun. Sorry I didn't play better. Honestly I should have prepared more. Really though, my only regret is that I chose Pinball over anything else. If I could have that back I'm sure the match would have lasted longer. Oh well though whats life without taking chances? Either way I had fun. Thanks to all that supported me in the match. Sorry I let you down.

Jordanv78 : Yeah there's a lot of luck involved with Pinball so I feel like that could've gone either way.

Don't worry, you definitely didn't let me down, you were easily the most challenging opponent the entire tournament. I'm sure we definitely gave the users on twitch a good show, I think we had around 80 views at the max. I have the video uploading to YouTube at the moment so hopefully users who couldn't make it can still watch it.

I did watch the Youtube clip of the match just now. I had to scroll past David's spoilers quickly so I didn't see who won beforehand.

Davideo7 : You were out for blood in Balloon Fight.

Jordanv78 : I felt bad for you on your first ball in the Pinball match when it bounced off of that bottom bumper right into the hole. Really bad luck there!

madison : Jordanv78 started out playing just flawlessly in Balloon Fight so I knew that the only way I was going to win that is if I slowed him down a little. I wouldn't say I was necessarily out for blood any more than Jordanv78 was, I think an aggressive game was expected when you have 2 of the best tournament players going at it.

I don't know, I guess I just don't want to be labeled as some villain or something, I know a lot of users rooted against me which is fine but I don't want anyone thinking I had any bad intent at all. Jordanv78 and I gave everyone a good show, we had fun and those 2 things are what it's all about. The victory was awesome and I'd be lying if I said that the victory didn't matter to me but I honestly think I would've been just as pleased (or almost as pleased) with the outcome if I had lost if it was still as close and as exciting as it was.

Davideo7 : Nah, don't worry. I'm not saying you were particularly villainous or anything of the sort. It's actually the first time I've seen competitive Balloon Fight, so it was interesting watching you two trying to kill each other on the bonus rounds while snagging the balloons.

And I only rooted against you after you had won the first three matches, but that's just because I like to see a good comeback!

madison : To be honest, I was hoping for a comeback as well. I was really hoping that it would've gone in a little longer but overall I'm not disappointed with how it turned out.
