The Undertaker's streak has finally came to the end courtesy of Brock Lesnar. I give Brock credit for beating him without cheating or letting Paul Heyman get involved. Undertaker is now 21-1 :'(

Was Undertaker really supposed to look that bad? Horrible build, horrible match, and loses cleanly to a part timer. What a waste.

In fact, they might as well end the show now. The crowd is dead.

Aww... That's no fun. I was really liking all that money hat was going around from people getting on those matches...

Chewedmint : You're right in that the crows was dead.  I think the crows only started getting into it again half-way through the main event.  I was pretty disappointed that Taker lost the streak to Lesnar.  Reigns might have been a better choice.

But, life goes on.  Taker will get a good payday.  I thought it was odd that he didn't raise his hand when he exited.

I think it's fair, undertaker much like triple H has looked like a boring broken down slow dinosaur for a while now and brock even though he is apart timer these days is still a monster draw. Having him and heel heyman win makes it great

Credit to WWE. Basically no one saw this coming. I went as far as saying this was the easiest match on the card to predict. Turns outI was completely wrong.

At first I was sad to see the end, but Undertaker wanted to end the steak forever ago. He chose Lesnar apparently. He did what was best for business. It sucks but we'll all get over it and this is a classic Wrestlemania moment I went ever forget

Azul Fria : Wrestling is scripted. They already know who wins long before the match. It was probably Taker's decision to let Lesnar beat him. Taker is getting old and this is probably his last match. It was also about getting lesnar over. I hope i teached you a lesson. Rivalries in the WWE are not real. It's scripted.

When I seen this happened, I was thinking "whoa whoa whoa, am I drunk or something, am I just seeing things?" I just con't believe it, but it happened. It seems weird after winning 21 WresleManias, he ended up loosing at WM 30. And out of the least likely person to break the streak, but hey, Brock made history, by ending the streak.

I guess we all have different definitions of tragedy.  Someone losing to end a streak?  That's not tragedy.

The bombs at the Boston Marathon are a tragedy in sports.  Stadium collapses and executions of Israeli Olympians are tragedies.  Derrick Thomas, Korey Stringer, Pat Tillman, and Clint Malarchuk are tragedies.

A semi-scripted wrestling event ending with the loss of a popular character?  That's marketing because now we're all talking about it.

I really didn't expect the streak to end especially when Brock Lesnar was the one who ended it. I don't think that Brock Lesnar should have ended the streak because he's a part timer and his wrestling skills aren't what they used to be in the past. The result was just shocking and frustrating at the same time due to the finish of the match. Literally the whole crowd was in shock and had faces.

If I had to pick someone else to end the streak, it should have been Shawn Michaels or someone who would make the streak match much more interesting and intense.

Despite of the fact that I hate that the streak ended, I respect Undertaker's choice on his soon-to-be retirement and the fact that he's growing old. He's been working for the WWE for around 30 years and that takes a lot of dedication and great ability.  

This "scripting" of breaking the streak has caused a world wide buzz.  I doubt that Undertaker beating Brock to continue the streak would have created as much hype in the mainstream than his losing has.  If they can turn that shock into dollars, then good.  But more importantly, will it increase the viewer rate of WWE in general?

I had no interest in seeing 'Taker v Brock.  I assumed that the streak would continue, despite the reality that in a real fight, Brock would win.  I didn't want to see Brock get fed to Taker just to keep the streak going.  I would've preferred Taker to fight Roman Reigns and beat him, but give him a massive rub and hand shake at the end (plus it would've kept the storyline going of how the Shield put Taker out of action last year).

Brock winning is what people expected in reality, but not in the fake world of real wrestling.

Will this moment change the WWE for the better (more interest, more viewers, more sustainability, more money)?  Only time will tell

I never really watch wwe ever, but I kind of know what happens. Honestly i dont understand why they would make him lose, what does this mean in the future of this show? Will it be a good thing? Or a bad thing? Let us see ( well you guys see, I'll look at the words on the internet )

I wouldn't call it the biggest tragedy of wrestling or WWE or sports entertainment, but I would call it "The Most Shocking turn of events" in WWE History. I can't see ANYTHING more shocking then the Streak being snapped...by Brock Lesnar. Not the guy I would've used to break it, but he seems reasonable enough of an athlete to be the man to break it. Now I suppose Taker can retire in peace.

imamonster : It's not really an attack. Call it a tragedy, okay. To each his own. But to call it the biggest tragedy in sports entertainment? It isn't even real. It's scripted. It is all meant to entertain, and nothing more. A scripted loss is not even comparable to something like the stadium bombing. It's one thing to call something like this tragic, but it is a completely different thing to put this fake loss on the same level as something like that is a huge exaggeration.

I did not really plan on coming back to this thread after seeing how out if hand the conversation got over what is real and what is scripted. I was only being sarcastic when I called the streak ending a tragedy because it is one of things you thought would never happen. The biggest real "tragedy" that I would put along the lines of the Undertaker's streak ending was the Lakers losing to Piston in 1989 where they get swept after sweeping their first three opponents. Then there's the Spurs falling apart in Game 6 of last season's finals and losing it all the next game. Tragedy in sports to me is a synonym for choke.

rcarter2 : It's a tragedy for me. I remember watching it when i was younger plus there is a rumor (Which is probably true) Undertaker had a severe injury which had to make him break the streak. So this is definitely a small tragedy in my opinion. Also taker said to the refferee during the match: Change it. But real sports entertainment tragedy is this

The way the ultimate warrior died.
The way JR got treated 
The way owen hart died.
Those are real tragedies. It just hurts my hart that a part timer would break the streak. No reason to attack me.

Azul Fria : Woah, woah, woah, woah.  First off, the 89 Pistons were simply firing on all cylinders when they won.  Rodman was averaging something like 23 rebounds a game and Laimbeer was averaging four punches a game.  And the backcourt was disgustingly good.  I think Joe Dumars hit like 300 3s that year.

The Lakers were good.  They ran into the buzzsaw called the Bad Boys.  

You have a perfect Magic Johnson, you have a 40 year old Kareen, and what?  James Worthy?  AC Green?  Who else is really on that team?

I cried when Rick Mahorn went to the Timberwolves.  And then the Grand Hill years happened to the Pistons.  But they were unstoppable in the late 80s.  It's not a tragedy.  It's two good teams going head to head and one emerging victorious!
