yes, as long as no one lives there anymore.


and it's possible it ended and has restarted since then. I think it was won by the US in the 80's and could have restarted with Putin.... hard to know when a cold war is actually going on

I can probably handle a 6 or 7....

I don't like super spicy food very often and I prefer my food not be so spicy I have to pause for a while between bites but I can handle a lot more spice if I have to.

it probably will. I think April 1st was used as a joke to get as all worried and then 2 days later we've more or less forgotten about it. Now they could strike and the majority of people would not remember about it and be vulnerable.

Or they chose not to act because so enough security fixes had been done to combat the virus that they are waiting for a new way to breach systems...

either way I think they are going to find a way to do some damage

Ziggy: I got one that changed my desktop image to something that whenever I clicked it I got sent to a website that wanted me to pay to get rid of the virus. It got rid of the C drive under my computer, disabled task manager... I can't even remember what else. I ran what I thought was a keygen but it turned out to be a nasty little virus.

I had to totally rebuild my comptuer. Thankfully I could access the c drive using "run" and I could copy anything over that I wanted on to my other drives but it was still such a pain. I of course forgot to prepare SATA drivers before I started the rebuild so I spent a while trying to find compatible drivers using a different computer.... it sucked.

Rasenganfan: yeah I have. I used to have it on a really old machine. Hosted a couple websites and an irc server from it. Not that I did any of that but that's what it was used for and I got to play around on a linux machine that was local which was nice. That was over 5 years ago though and I haven't used a linux machine since then.

Wired: that's always a tough one. You would know her best (or one of the people that would know her fairly well I'd think) so it does depend a fair bit on the type of person she is. The big thing is to pay attention to her behaviour. Monitor how much she eats, sleeps, etc as closely as you can without looking like you're monitoring her. The only other thing I could recommend would be to try to help her be in a happier mood. Try to get her out of the house and actively doing something. That's probably the best thing you could actively do. It won't help her at all to sit at home and wallow in self-pity while she mourns the loss of the boyfriend. It's all easier said than done but more than likely she's just crying out for attention/love and if you can do what you can to make her feel better that might be what hse needs to get out of the rut.

Not to break the cycle of questions, Geeo: Would you test out another Linux distro? Maybe download it to a USB HDD/Flash Drive or CD and run it through those. If you do decide to try out a Linux Distro, you should take the Linux Distro Test. You can just use the Distro on a CD or USB drive without any changes made to your HDD.

Because of the fact that I've been forced(by my own stupidity)to use Linux Ubuntu, I know this.
