NotJon : Uh, yeah. He plays for the Toronto Blue Jays. He is their main home run hitter. I live in Canada and that is the only Canadian team so we hear about him a lot.

The main message to me is the redemptive power of Jesus. He died for our sins so that we won't have to suffer judgment for them as long as we accept him and try to be like him.

I got this inspiration because NJ mentioned it...

Since you hear about Toronto's team in baseball, how do you feel about all the top baseball free agents spurning the only Canadian team for teams like the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Mets, and even the Nationals (previously Montreal Expos)?

Do you think there need to be more baseball, and basketball teams in Canada? Do you think there should be a Canadian team in the NFL? (not sure if they even have one, I don't really care for football)

legacyme3 : I don't blame them honestly. I would prefer to play in a big American market rather than coming to Toronto and playing for a team that isn't going to do overly well. Toronto isn't usually a BAD team but it's been a long time since they've been great. Although with the teams they play the most often can you really blame them?

No I don't. Basketball was tried in Vancouver and it failed. Baseball failed in Montreal. Those are 2 of the biggest markets in Canada. The only bigger one is Toronto. I don't think either sport has much viability in Canada.

As for football, we have our own 8 team league. It's not huge and that's why it works in Canada. Players aren't over-paid and tickets are relatively cheap. It works even in smaller markets.

I played basketball growing up (and I grew up watching Michael Jordan) so if I had my choice I would have played for the Bulls and been the point guard beside Jordan .

I'd say about a 5-6 honestly. If you factor in the age of many of the members. I don't remember being overly mature when I was 12-15 so I don't expect much out of that age group. It could be better though

Me and a bunch of the members followed this guy here and that's how I got to know David. I became a staff member not long after that and things went from there.
