I doubt it... why bother putting up the capital to develop something when they can do other less risky ventures and still make good money.

I'm not saying I don't want them to, but there are already 3 major consoles out there.... why do we need a 4th?

I don't think this board will last forever. Something will come along that will either change the way games are played online that makes this place obsolete, or something will come along that either forces it to shutdown or kills it somehow. I don't expect this to happen any time soon, but I imagine that this board, like so many other websites, will cease to exist at some point.

sakura day will only become an annual event if she dies. If she survives then it will likely have been a 1 time thing that we can all be excited to have been a small part of.

I do play video games. I just played and beat starcraft 2. It was a fun game.

There are 2 main reasons, maybe 3.

1a) Video games are console heavier in the last few years. Sure some good ones are still on the PC, but more and more on going to console.
1b) My computer doesn't run many new games very well, or at all. I could barely run Starcraft 2 and found it ran better in offline mode which meant no achievements =/. Still worth playing, but it was fun.
2) I don't have as much time to play games, nor do I want to spend as much time playing games. I would rather post on Vizzed, spend time with friends/family or read than play video games. My priorities are changing so that video games don't satisfy me as much as they used to. If I had more free time I would totally play video games.... but I don't have the time to play as much as I would like to.

sept - I think it's great. I don't know what good it will do for her, but I figure trying something positive like this can't hurt.

I think we're up to about 1270 right now. The ACS page shows how many were made since the server hit midnight last night.

Hoochman - it's possible, but not likely. Getting 200 posts in 24 hours is tough enough and it try it without spamming is extremely tough.

it happens regularly. Some people join the board and immediately start spamming and we just ban them right away. Sometimes it's easier to ban and reform than try to reform with banning.
