How many times will war and famine destroy the foundations and societies of the human race, and how long do you think it will take the human mind set to realize there is really not that much to fight about and kill over, and why do some people believe that animals should not have to go through death and not be eaten when animals tend to murk each other in the wild while it's a part of nature, and while I'm on that subject do you think that humans should have advanced past nature's many flaws by now and not have to fight over petty things such as religion and beliefs that dont need to be fought over, much less killed over?

Also, why do you think that this oil spill in the gulf has been so blown out of proportion when ever since the start of drilling for oil in the ocean and the transportation of oil across the seas there has been countless cases of spillage that no one even knew about?

Trench : well, the first question.... I think people will never get to that point on their own. I think as long as there is a power structure in the world that certain people will exploit it.

I agree that it is silly that people are against eating animals as food. Many animals do the very same thing. However, the more reasonable people that are against eating animals are more so in that camp because of the way animals are treated now. Watch Food Inc. sometime if you get the chance and you'll understand.

Again, I don't think people will ever stop fighting about pointless stuff. Until we stop putting ourselves first and everyone else second will we have a world without fighting.

I think it's being blown out of proportion because it's the largest spill ever? (not sure about that though). Plus it is very very close to the United States. The closer to the US something is, the more serious it becomes.

joebab : probably. Or at least, the longest one I was willing to answer.

it's about the same really.... just some new faces.

BreakDown : I don't know if Vizzed will be around in 10 years. Who knows what will happen in the next 10 years. Maybe Nintendo, Sega, Sony will all start to provide these old games for free via their websites and a place like vizzed will cease to be useful. You just don't know.

The website in general is something I don't worry about.... David has done a good job with creating ideas that attract members. And with everything internet related.... you can only get so many good members.... cause there are plenty of bad ones out there too =/

septembern : firefox mostly. I've just gotten used to the way it functions and the timing on a lot of the things it does.... I don't like using IE or Chrome because they act differently than I'm used to.

Depends on the day but I would guess 5-10 at least.

I wasn't able to figure it out for sure.... but I'm guessing you're close to the top. I don't care enough to figure it out personally. I know how I would eventually figure it out... but the time it would take just isn't worth it to me.

And yeah, anyone not on North or South America have trouble figuring out when it ends for sure... unless you set your difference from the server properly... if you ever bothered to do that.

the 40 was just an arbitrary number that was supposed to represent average word count per post for that 24 hour VCS day.

So take all 600 posts or whatever are made per day.... add up all the words in those posts and divide by the number of posts that day.

Then that number is used against each individual persons word per post average to determine if they get a bonus or deduction on the points they get from the vcs.

For this to work we may have to use decimal places for the points though. Cause you can't really change a 1 point into much else unless your average post count is double the average.

I think people will stop asking questions when I stop answering them. This thread lives on how quickly I answer questions. If I stop answering for a day or 2 then the questions stop coming.
