pretty much on a case by case basis.

I try to be lenient though when it comes to duplicate threads.... because it's so rare that threads stay on topic that even though 2 threads may be similar in their starting point it's not like they have taken the same course as the thread has gone on.

Jigsaw has more power than I do. He's an admin and over-rules me if he wants to.

I wouldn't say I am 3rd in command. Maybe tied for 3rd in command... but not outright 3rd in command.

I don't think you need to ask permission... but I would pick the local mod who is in charge of the forum first off. If they aren't sure then it'll probably be discussed amongst several staff members... but start with the person who is local mod over that forum.

Well, first of all.... it's going to be years before he dies.... many many years. If this site lasts until David dies I'll be shocked. I'm not suggesting I want this site to fail... but the life spam of successful websites is limited.

If David dies any time soon I assume Jigsaw would take over. David and Jigsaw have put in a lot of work together to get this site to where it is.

If he died 20 years or more from now I assume one of his kids would likely take over.... or someone else who has become very involved in the site since now...
