SadSecrets : The text color is really nice! It might become hard to read after several lines, though, because the text box is too transparent. You should make it transparent enough so that the text will always be easy to read, and you can still see the picture behind it well.

This is a layout I made back when I loved making layouts. I still make them once in a while, but I don't enjoy it much anymore.

Background testing. I want to make sure it cover the whole post area background.

I tried to make mine really cool. That should be clear, because I used yellow shadow for the text, I used an awesome GIF, I altered the colors of my username, put a fiery text shadow above it, and italicized it. I'm not very skilled at making layouts, so of course I used a GIF, and I always take a lot of time to finish my layouts.

I am testing this layout, as I have a problem, I will probable just edit the pic and not make it look like I want, so yeah, if you want to help just pm me cause I'm having troubles for my first layout; I try to edit a layout and learn html, it would be cool to learn it, but I keep reading what's written, edit, find out, learn, repeat, read, edit, find out, learn, repeat, read, edit, find out, learn, and it's in your head.

Made this layout out of pure boredom for a friend.. The friend should be obvious. I haven't coded a layout like this for a while. So it might look odd on other screens so please let me know.. As it looks perfectly fine on mine

comic sans is comic sans, it's not bad tho' the text is easy to read, to only issue I would see is if you want to make a large post with it, and a textbox would be put in, making it not look quite as smooth.

the only problem is that is has to have a text box to begin with... (yes, I'm anit-textbox, the layout should look like it was made to be a layout, not a random picture pulled off the web and a black box slapped on top of it with white text.)

not to bad, fire mario looks not to low in quality, but the background is a little to busy behind the text itself, making it a little harder then necessary to read.  
 
Also refer to the last part of what I said to sword.

the white textbox doesn't really need to be there since the black obviously shows the area the text should be. 

the only thing is that the purple aura on the text makes it slightly hard to read, and the signature of the bible verse would look better if you put it there as the signature instead of a JPEG picture.

 over all I say it's a good layout, except text box isn't really nessisary to have at all, just darken the picture some, and make the text colour a very, very light blue gray or purple gray.

I would suggest moving gingy to the left and giving the textbox more area to exsist, 
 
Also the text would look better is it was white, so it doesn't clash as much with the background.

that looks perfect. I can't really say anything's wrong with it except maybe darkening the text colour to make it stand out more.

I would suggest removing the text box completely and putting the text below the picture and have the layout stretch down the more text you put in the post. (kind of like my layout, except have the pic at the top)

 oof, the text box stretches across two vastly differently coloured pictures making my eyes hurt when I want to read the second half of the line of text. 
 
 and red text is hard to read anyway. 

I would suggest finding a higher quality form of one of the pictures and using it. for the layout.
