Testing out my new layout.

I recently made this so I can make long posts and/or post pictures without worrying about a scrolling text box looking ugly and annoying.

So basically this text box does not scroll at all, just like Davideo7's layout.

Guess I'll use this for posting TDV team results or making big posts that may need a picture. 

Yay.

Just seeing how well this picture stretches in terms of width. I mean I don't think it will stretch horribly but the width to height ratio is rather large with this one...

Divine Aurora : I wonder how it duplicated the text box without showing the text a 2nd time XD I haven't seen a layout glitch like that before, that's odd.

I'm still using the same layout and nothing has changed about it, that's fun

Pacman+Mariofan : I had sent mohammad the text box code twice in the same PM lol but now its tweaked right now and is working right, although I plan to complete the code sometime this week because if you notice the color doesn't match up, I had to code in the entire left side of the layout, plus I wanna move the boxes more down towards the middle left.

Once David is finished re-working the thread pages, all our layouts will look more square than wide.

Also i'm testing out my layout because i haven't made one in awhile. I might be a bit rusty.

supercool22 : very good layout supercool ^^ , easy to read and looks nice! Also David is changing thread pages to more square?! , hmm that might not look as good or professional as the rectangle style thread pages that we currently have.

Also this is my last version of this layout (as you can see from earlier replies it didn't start out looking like this) , so what do you guy's think of it? 

Its been awhile since i ever made a layout like this. I just want people's opinion on this uniquely supercool layout. (and no that wasnt meant to be clever )

yoshirulez! : The music is kinda long, but the audio box itself is too long as well. I don't know about other browsers, but Chrome's native audio player is a bit too long for your layout.

I spent an absurd amount of time trying to get the text for this layout not use a scrollbar for overflow. So a stretch test is super needed for this, and I'm gonna copy my last one because I'm lazy.

Don't mean to abuse my mod powers or anything, but here goes test #2... and this time it isn't spammy!

Doing this layout for pennylessz. Think it's pretty cool, though that could also be my bias towards simple layouts.

Jijimon is the hottest thing on the Digital world, tbh.

Here is a test if you may, of my new layout hopefully it looks good but yearp. Darkness is my veil, is such a true quote. 

With a new username (at least relative to this website) comes a new layout. This one takes the cake as far as time spent to results achieved, in that I spent way too much time on what is ultimately a gimmick.

That said, I think this layout works well on its own without the gimmick. I put an emphasis on readability and simplicity, two attributes which I believe more layouts on this site need to focus on.

Please let me know if this layout breaks/doesn't work for you. I know that a certain element of this layout doesn't work with most browsers prior to IE9; that being said, if you do view this layout using a deprecated browser, and it breaks the page, please ESPECIALLY let me know

(by the way, if you're still wondering what the gimmick is, click the present in the lower right!)

Now THIS should work. I tried editing my layout in the last post, but it wouldn't let me for some reason, even though it gave me text fields to do so with.

Nksor : your the causality you made the funniest geeogree ban hammer meme ever (I'm a huge fan of that meme ^^) but anyways I love the layout and that trick you did with the earthbound character coming out of the present is simply genius I've never seen a layout do something as creative and innovative as that (honestly I wan't to know how you did it , but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to) also the problem is fixed where if you click the present it re-directs you to vizzed main page. But once again great job on the layout! ^^

I'll try to explain what I did as briefly as I can: I made the present a dummy link (a link that goes to nothing), and then used code that would change the image once the link was clicked on. Basically the present and the ghost Ness are on one narrow "strip" of a table that makes Ness appear once the link is in the state of "focus."

From there, I did the animation using CSS3. CSS3 is surprisingly versatile; there are animation tools that attempt to replace Flash's use in webpages, which is practical for seamless browsing.

At the end of the day, there are a lot of sites with valuable resources on how to accomplish what you want. Stack Overflow has answers for pretty much every programming/coding question you'd ever want to ask, and the questions that haven't been asked and answered already you can ask yourself. Extraordinarily useful question and answer site.
