I would never give away my friends and family, because these people are the reason that I still find life worth living. Some people say no, God is the one who makes life worth living. Well, that is true, but God choose to make people so that He could have a relationship with them, and he gave people the same desires. My job is to get as many people saved as possible, so, on this earth, people are the most important thing in life. God says so.

Even if I had all that money, I wouldn't be happy, because I wouldn't be able to share it with those whom I love. Yeah, I could make new friends, but some "friend" I would be if I walked out on them for some dough. That would suggest that I was never friends with them in the first place. A real friend isn't in it 100% for what he can get out of it, but he genuinely cares about the other individual, that's why I still care about ender.

I'm not very open about saying stuff like this, but yeah. . . I really couldn't be without my friends and family. I am a people person, cause it's the only way to live happily. Thank you three for being my friends for so long. I live in a place where I don't have any save one friend in real life, just because I live so far away from civilization, that's part of why I care about my online friends so much.

I would choose my friends and family over money. Hey! Maybe someday I will be rich. That means I still have friends and family, and money.

Jeez, that's a pretty significant amount of money. It actually made me hesitate to choose family and friends. In the end though, I would choose family. Family holds the people that are important to you, well, in my case, at least. Family is supposed to be the safety net where you feel comfortable to be with and  will help you through tough times. I particularly like the vast majority of my family, and I very well wouldn't be able to part with them. On the other hand, I could easily live without my friends. Pretty much 3/4 of the time they just act like complete jerks. If the option were simply between keeping your friends or taking $155 million, with no family involved, I would take the money. 

I'm fine with 155m, my family is full of pricks, and friends come and go anyways. And whoever says money doesn't buy happiness, look at africa and then look at a wealthy country, alot more happiness in the wealthy countries.

That is a very easy decision for me. I would rather be able to hang out with my family, friends, and acquaintances than have 155 million dollars because my family and friends are nice, caring, helpful, and fun to hang out with. One of my friends inspired me to change the kind of person that I am, which I did! No amount of money or anything else would be enough to make me ditch my friends, family, and acquaintances!

As many people I like, I have only chosen 2 as friends. And I don't even have contact with them...

I wouldn't really miss my family much. Except I would need somebody around...

Regardless, I have to choose the friends. Because the $155 million dollars is totally useless to me because I live the UK.

As of now I would take my family and friends. I love my family and would not want to just break contact with them all of sudden and I wouldn't want to leave my friends all of a sudden to just go somewhere completely else as I'm quite comfy at where I'm at. I could see why people would pick the money though and wouldn't judge them if they did.

I would definitely choose family and friends over money. I'm sure everyone has their own opinion about this but mine is money can but you things you want,,,But true happiness comes from the laughs and good times you have with your family and friends. The moments where you can stop smiling, and cant stop laughing, even if you only have a couple of friends I'm sure the memories you have and could have with them will be worth more the any amount of material items. However as I said this is just my opinion and everyone has the right to feel and choose however they like. 

I'd like to take the money, except for one thing keeps me from doing it. I have one friend who I swore to protect no matter what. I rarely make promises and I can count all the ones I've made in the last 10 years on one hand. I would be breaking that promise which would be nothing short of unforgivable. I know this sounds like something out of an anime, but it's the honest truth. So given that, I'd have to decline the money, even though I would seriously be better off with even 1/1000th of that kind of cash.

Well, if it was just friends I would take the money. Nobody I know really gives a damn about me outside of my family...

You know... normally in such situations, I would NEVER choose the money.  I'm not a materialistic person in even the slightest bit. However.. I have absolutely no friends... and so it's not like I'd be losing anything.  And the few that come CLOSEST to being a friend, I feel horrible but for once... the money would be worth it.  That's a really crazy amount of money.

No-brainer for me, as cruel as it is. Money.

If you leave the hypocrisy aside as to pondering what people will think of you if you take the "less human" option, along with the image people have/will have of you and such, there's nothing to think about here.

You can always lie to others (and/or yourself) just to sustain the image of being a nice person, but as we all know, reality isn't quite like that. It's easy to say you would pick your family and friends when you already know the money isn't really an option.

Also, I carry what you could call hatred for humanity in general (that includes myself). Plus money won't deceive me and I know what to expect of it as opposed to people. I could keep going and make a huge list of reasons, but I don't feel like.

TL;DR Money, because I'm more fond of it than people.

Txgangsta : And that comes from the assumption that someone actually does so. In my case not only am I unaware of such, but I also don't believe in true love, I see it as something utopian.

Plus, my point was that when that kind of question you and the OP mentioned pops up, people in general have the option of not answering honestly and keep up an act. Even if they're aware or not, the knowledge of one option being hypothetical makes worrying about your image a real issue if you care about it (lots of people do and that's a common thing in society afaik, correct me if I'm wrong), which can influence them to choose the actual real and moral answer without sacrificing your image.

Edit: To make it even more clear, what I wanted to show is that saying you would pick Family and friends shouldn't always be considered an honest answer under such circumstances.

I don't have any friends in real life so I'm a loner......and as I do fight with my family sometimes, it is hard to choose between. You can buy all the stuff that you ever dreamed of. Or think of the family that you have. I would had chosen an answer already. But, I thought about it and it is blank answer for me....

Well if it was every single person I knew I would definitely go with my family instead of having to live with not seeing anyone of them ever again. But if it was just friends... Even though I would like to say my friends I don't actually really know. I mean think about the possibilities if you had that much money you could buy whatever you want or try and make a difference in the world it's a hard decision.

My so called "friends" already abandoned me before, so I would have nothing to lose... Would, if you didn't include the family part.

I'd pick door #1 over my old "friends" any day... Heck, if that was a 2 dollar door I would still go through it. However, you put the family part, and I love my family a bit too much... So yeah, door #2 I guess.
