Honestly I would choose Music (I can't function without it)

Well, given that we would have no reproduction if there were no sex, I would rather live in a world without music. Yes, we have the technology now that makes it to where we don't need sex to reproduce, but it is also a very healthy part of a loving relationship. It is something that you are to share with the person that means the most to you. The point at which you both are most vulnerable and open to each other. That is an important thing.

Well, I would choose to live in a world without sex. I prefer music, I can't live without it.

Eh, well this is a tough question. I would rather choose sex over music, because of the fact that if that there wasn't sex, I would not be here on this earth today. Music, is just a little entertainment, and I am pretty sure that if there were not any music, there would be other ways for us to entertain ourselves. Although I would be unhappy that music would not be on this earth. If I had to choose. Good question, but it was a toughie question.

Also don't feel bad about using that word, it isn't a bad word that is .

Sex, because I enjoy it more than music, but music is close second.

Considering my current age, I'd definitely prefer music over sex since it's a safer form of entertainment IF we'll think of sex like that. As for sex' purpose as reproduction means for humans, that's still too early for me to think about. Ask me about it again after I graduate, find a good job and have enough savings to start a good family life. For now my answer would definitely be music.

I think all your choices and reasons are valid (and awesome!) I'm just too young to be thinking about anything sexual (even if I was I'd probably still prefer to groove to blue oyster cult)

World without sex, easy.

Sure you can make the argument "We wouldn't be here without sex" but I'm looking at the question as the entertainment purpose. Assuming we'd find a way to reproduce, I'd rather get rid of sex.

Why?

Simple.

I've never had sex, so I wouldn't miss it, seeing as I've never had it.

But music is the only thing that keeps me going. Music is what drives me to survive, without music, depression would have claimed my life long long ago.

The folks who are too young, I understand picking music.  Sex can be intimidating or outright scary to think about.  To those who are old enough.... are you kidding me?

Sex is fun.  It's a blast and is a physical, social, personal, and emotional experience that blows music away.  Sex with a person you love and care for is about the best thing in the world and can convey more emotion and feeling then 1,000 hours of music.

Music is wonderful.  Sex is immaculate.  There is no comparison when you've experienced the best of both.

Before I became sexually active I would totally have picked music.  I love music, I go to raves and concerts all the time, have since before many of the people on this site were even born, but holy moly a world without sex, NOOOOOOO!  

I think both scenarios are depressingly tragic scenarios, everyone needs music, and sex is fun.

while the upside to not having sex would be that people would stop reproducing, and humanity would go extinct, but sex is really fun, and as rcarter and warmaker have said, a healthy part of a relationship.

A world without music would be extremely boring though, that means there wouldn't even be dramatic music in all of the action movies, no Raves or Concerts(no Bonaroo), and you'd NEVER know when the ice cream truck was coming, just horrible.

pros and cons considered, let's keep sex.

I've never had sex and I don't really like music. But I want to see more people on this planet and to be able to raise at least one so I would live in a world without music, simply because I don't want humans not to exist. Just imagine tomorrow hearing people can no longer reproduce. Then imagining living in a world where everyone is slowly dying off. When I reach 80, the human population would be low. That would be scary.

I would live in the world of music instead of a world without sex, it is a form of recreation and is proved necessary for human live so I would live in the world of music than a world without sex.

I have no idea what to choose. Usually the best memories of both have gone hand in hand.

Life without music, hands down. I've never cared about music too strongly. There's so many people who are like "I would die without music" or "I can't function without it" (read pretty much every post here). I think music is pretty all right, and I'd maybe miss it if I had experienced it and then it disappeared, but I'd much rather have grown up in a world with no music than one with no sex. Sex is fun and healthy if you do it responsibly, without factoring in the whole needling it to keep the world running and to prevent the human race from ending argument.

I didn't grow up in a musical household; I don't possess any musical talent. I have a subtle appreciation for it, but I can take it or leave it.

KG :  I'm actually the same way. I have NEVER understood people's attachment to music. Maybe it's because I was raised finding entertainment through other venues.  In fact, it wasn't until I became a teacher that I realized most of our society seems obsessed with music.  People tend to think I'm nuts because I actually hardly listen to music.  I listen to it in my car, and that's about it. I enjoy it and don't have anything against it, but I could easy do without it.

I still don't understand how people can put such a heavy emotional reliance on... music.

I'll take sex with my husband any day. 

Singelli : Aside from having the tunes that we played in band, a few years ago I would've understood your plight. But now, I could properly copy and past the response from Leggy. After going through some depression and having panic anxiety lately , I can tell you that it seems to only way to deal with such things is with the proper stimulant. For me, certain sounds can change how I feel. Being band has caused orchestrations to sound quite pleasant and whenever I feel bad (gaggy/anxiety episode) some similar music or a pleasant sound can calm me down. 

But up until this point in my life, I do see where you're coming from. I never used to have a favorite musical group or listen to music in free time. It was just there. With the exception of the scores we would play in band I didn't find myself listening to much music at all. But now I can tell you that certain artists' sounds and orchestrations of pretty much anything sound amazing and, having never had sex, I can't picture myself living without music. I doubt this changes your opinion, but perhaps sheds a little insight to other side of the argument.
