With the latest version of Java 7 (Update 51), the Java applets will be blocked from running on your computer. This update from Oracle Java was in response to a recent security breach in their product, however, this doesn't affect Vizzed's Java emulators at all. This can be fixed on your end. Here's what you need to do:

Go to:
Start Menu > All Programs > Java > Configure Java

Or:
Open a Windows Run box by tapping the Windows key ( ) and the R key.
In the box, copy and paste the following file path:
C:Program Files (x86)Javajre7binjavacpl.exe

For Windows 8 Users

Go to:
Windows Icon > Apps > Configure Java

Or:
Open a Windows Run box and copy/paste this file path:
C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsJava

(in this folder open the Shortcut 'Configure Java')

For Mac OS X Users
To launch the Java Control Panel on Mac OS X (10.7.3 and above), go to:
Apple icon > System Preferences > Java icon

Click on the Security tab at the top

Then Edit Site List button

Then Add button

In the empty field under 'Location' enter either one or both of the following to the list (click Add again after entering URL):

http://www.vizzed.net

(that's for the main RGR java emulators)

http://api.kryptonware.com

(this one is for the RGR SNES java emulator)

Troubleshooting Tips
• When using the Java emulators in the RGR, Java will prompt you to either Run the application or Cancel it. If you choose to Cancel it, the emulators will no longer work. You'll get an "UserDeclinedException" error with 'User declined to run unsigned sandbox content'.

To fix this you'll need to end the Java process in your Task Manager, and then choose to Run the application (instead of Cancel).

• When Java is installed, by default it is disabled from running in your browser. To enable Java in your browser, reverse the steps given on this page:

Banenzo : Okay. This only applies if you have Java 7 Update 51, so that's fine.

For some reason, when I play the game, the top half is blurred.

MegaBossMan50 : For which game system, as well as which Java emulator for that system do you encounter this?

If this is regarding an RGR Plugin problem, this thread is in regard to the Java emulators - so I can help you with those emulators in this thread; the RGR Plugin stuff should go in a different thread (just in case that's what you're referencing).

I try to play Punch-out for NES(MT) and the top half is blurred. It's with the VNES java emulator. By the way, the VGR plug-in for Punch-out (MT) works but it won't let me punch. I use chrome, by the way.

MegaBossMan50 : I haven't had a lot of extra time on my hands to try replicating your problem, so I'm just going to ask a few things that come to mind.

-Have you tried setting your monitor's screen resolution to a higher or lower setting
-Have you tried clicking on the web page while the game window is open and the tap the Ctrl and 0(zero) keys
-Have you tried a different browser

Ermira : Great to hear that. But your post doesn't really help his situation unfortunately.

Now it won't even load, so I've given up on the games. Sorry.

Despite following these steps, I cannot get the vNES java emulator to work properly for Final Fantasy 1.  I have a Mac OS X and I have tried on both Safari and Firefox.  Safari continues to show a blank black screen with the controls on the ride side.  Firefox shows "vNES is loading game...0%" and goes no further.  Any help would be appreciated.

yankeespring33 : That kinda sounds like a site bug with Vizzed; does the NESCafe Java Emulator work?

(EDIT) wanted to clarify the 'bug' - if you first play a NES game with the NESCafe Emulator and then try to play that game using the vNES emulator, it won't work. But if you use vNES 1st then it works.

Edit 2: It can be fixed by clearing your cookies and java history.

Hi. I'm still having problems loading GBC games on the Java emulators. It keeps saying that my Java is blocking it. I've followed the steps above, added vizzed to my "trusted site" list but still I can't play any games. I'm using Windows 7 and I have the latest Java download... Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

sillypoint : Have you tried a different browser? Have you checked that Java plugin is activated in your browser settings?

I don't normally update java anyway. I mainly just procrastinate, but thank you anyways.

I haven't updated Java, and I'm glad I didn't. I feel so old for some reason xD
