Sup guys this is Deg and enjoy this Re-Review. The World Ends With You or it's original name "It's A Wonderful World" is another great RPG made by Square Enix and Jupiter WAIT NO FINAL FANTASY!? Yes, this game is completely different. It was released April 18th, 2008 on the Nintendo DS system and now you are thinking what DS game could possibly have this good of ratings that system was horrid.

Preset: The "Reaper's Game" Is set in Shibuya, Japan in the UG "Underground" where hundreds of people are given a second chance at life but to get your life back you need to go through a week of hard missions set by the Reapers and YOU have to try to complete the mission with-in the time-limit or face erasure where you are completely wiped away. But before you can complete a mission you need to form a Pact with another person so you two are now partners for the whole week fighting off "Noise" this games monsters and face the timer will you and your partner survive this week?

Graphics 9: The graphics of this game were surprisingly good the character designs  were very well done with the interesting fashion sense of each of the main characters with hoards of skull shirts or shorts with lose buttons and zippers everywhere! The city very well resembles the actual city. Battles graphics and special move CG was incredible watching the characters run around blowing fire from their hands or smacking an enemy with a skateboard. The battle sprites were well animated unlike most DS games the characters would stay there rocking out to the beat of the song *which I will explain latter* and they would move or flinch if the took damage the Hp bars and Re-Use bars were also helpful as they were these bars on the screen. When you attacked a noise it was very interesting to see how the character reacts to what the move is like drinking a can of something to heal themselves or start floating summoning fire to burn the bad guys. It was also fun to see an animated cat-doll flying at monsters attacking them. Even events were cool to see as the designs were as I said very unique and the main team seemed to stand out too much, when they talked their reactions weren't slow at all.

Bad things:  Okay there were sadly only a few bad things, I know this system isn't that strong but the characters and noise seem to look a bit scratchy it's not just the Bits the game is in they are scratchy graphics overall. The hp bars were super and I mean it helpful! But I could find myself distracted at some times to see if I can stop running from the bad guy so I can heal or actually attack or get hurt in the process of seeing what I can do as the battles are action time. There was a ton of noise to fight right? But what sort of made me confused is why most of them look liked they evolved in the bestiary as some of the monsters were the same just a different colour.

Sound 10 AH! The music in this game is one of my favourite soundtracks and this is why- As I said earlier the battle music in this game switches every time so Boss battles or Normal ones all use the same music just different times and in battle the music is what the main character Neku is basically thinking which is why he is jamming out in the beginning of the battle. Every map has it's own music so like I said not a lot of repetitive music. The characters had the perfect voice actors for them in my opinion though you usually only hear them talk the most in battles so that hurt me that they only usually sigh or grunt when talking to each-other on a map to exhibit pain or surprise. But you do get a good sample of Neku's voice actor in the beginning scene. Battles I liked how they also gave the monsters sound effects like at the beginning you can hear the frog noise say something but you don't know what so it's creepy but cool.

Bad things:The only thing I can say I disliked about this section was that they needed to talk more! Outside of battle please! Well and if you are that one guy who wants to level grind but keeps getting the same song over and over again that can be obnoxious. 

Addictiveness 8 Okay you will serious get very addicted to playing this game as fighting off noise and the mission are so much fun! This game also allows to do some fun things like the mini-game "Tin Pin" which your pins gain special abilities *Even though you can set peeps on fire already* To knock other players pins out of the ring using these abilities the even allow to enter a tourny in the game. And you buy clothes for your characters or buy them food FUN RIGHT?! I love shopping for.......More pins and special items that allow you change game difficulty or level up your team mate's attack, defense, and what not. And don't get me wrong shopping in this game is the best you will love it! Especially the annoying girls that are like *Uh-HUH BUY IT* You can even friend the people you are buying stuff from *No harvest moon* So they can sell you more things or tell what something does not that great of a thing in my mind though. There is also a fun thing you can do a few times in the game which is fun is manipulating people into saying things or thinking things *Your a wizard harry* Or make people's choices for them? And ruin teen-girl friendships did I mention that?

Bads: As this game is really fun and intense and you want to play it they actually give you a reason to stop playing it as well *WHAT!?* Yes there is an option where you turn off your game for a few days or whatever and you get PP which levels up you pins but *Out-Game PP* Is very special cause it can evolve your pins sometimes. So this can be a win-lose situation wait a week to try to evolve your pin or forget the game entirely I mean it's great they also are trying to get you off the game but come on. 

Depth: 9 This at least take you about 30 hours if not more and I know the whole point of this game is a week but trust me it's gonna take way longer than that With all the side content available and the normal story line as after the game you are allowed to re-attack the game by choosing any day you want or completing all the side-quests to get the secret ending. So don't worry about not having a lot of story and stuff to do in this cause you won't there is tons of things to play with. 

Difficulty 7 this difficulty in this game is up to you since you are able to find difficulty chips and you are able to tweak on what setting you want to be on easy normal hard ultimate those things so it's easy but the game can trick you into fighting a really hard boss even on easy. but changing the difficulty also messes up your exp and gives you way less. also you are able to change your level meter from whatever level you are at back to 1 so you can get more exp for winning a battle and be able to change it back to your original level. I know you are able to change the settings but like I said this game is really hard even with it on easy.

Story 9 Ahem this story starts out with a fifteen year-old boy named Neku who states that he wants everyone to "Just shut the hell up" and "Leave me alone" that he is the only one that the world needs and everyone can just die out. While thinking this he suddenly wakes up on the street *Of course no cars hit him lame!* To find out he has amnesia so he finds a "Player" pin in his hand and sees the one week sign with this player pin he is able to read peoples mind. And he is sooner attacked by the noise not being able to fight he runs and finds each of the main characters of the game running past them in the sequence.


Now we have come to conclusion to this review I all hope you liked reading my opinion on the game and this was satisfactory.
Conclusion : This game so many great points it's hard to say that it's a bad one because
Pros of the game: Soundtrack, Battle system, Characters
Cons : Gameplay can be considered neutral.
Overall: I would consider getting this game but hear me it is a very rare one at that. and has high replay value included with the awesome dual fighting, the beautiful music embedded in it, wonderful characters and sly come backs with imaginative settings in it's own Shibuya and UG. But now it's time for you the reader to go back to life and decide whether you want this game or not.

That's the first review of yours I read, but I'm already eager to read the next one! It's well-structured - separating the good from the bad is an original form I've never seen - and you give a lot of details by making comparisons to other DS games.

I also liked your "preset" paragraph which explains what the game is about. That's a clever thing to do especially for newer games, which tend to be larger.

janus : Thanks for that feed-back for my reviews I like to change the sections and use them to my own advantage and I feel reviews shouldn't just be sugar-coated or hate. I feel that both emotions should be expressed evenly. Preset is actually something I just came up with as well and I also felt it explains a good amount of the game which should be useful info for people who never played this game. 

It's been quite a long time since I've last posted on a thread especially on a game review.

I have heard about this game title but never really heard on what this game is about until now. I like how you put each aspect of a game and described them. The bonus parts were the pros and cons of the game which is a nice touch especially like any game can have its pros and cons in their own ways. Not everything is all perfect and that's what everyone should know.
