When playing Battlefront, I'm always faced with the question of whether to be the Empire or the Rebels. Which leads to my question, would you rather invade or be the defender?

I'd rather be the defender when I'm bored, since the consequences and the outcome seems to weigh much more on my mind. This keeps me more engaged when playing the game. When I'm looking for a thrilling time, I play as the invader, since it seems much less consequential and encourages me to take a few more risks for an easy win.

So all in all, I like to play as the invader more.

I would prefer to be an inavder because I like to be a part of the reason that you win, and yes, part of winning comes from not letting the other team win first, but attacking is a major part.

It really depends on what type of war game it is, and how the gameplay works.

For example, I have a PC game "Great War Nations: Spartans" in which I prefer defending because of the ability to build defences and walls and stationing guards on the wall's towers.

I have a PS2 game "Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires" where the play on attacking and defending are identical, and I really don't like defending, as it's slow and gives you no way to fortify.

A shooter? I would want to defend, as stationary strategy is more fun for me than progressive.

So even though it depends on the game, I like defending in more games than not, so I'll vote for defense.

I like playing both of them I haven't played this game in a while but when I did I was like you played the defender when I was bored and I like to be a part of winning most of the time anyways so invador was pretty fun.

I would prefer to be a defender. If everyone goes on the offensive, the enemy could easilly sneak past the non-existant defenses and capture the base. There has to be a gut there to defend the base. I'm always that guy, and it's a job i love for some reason.

When it comes to online games were you fight other people I am always the one to initiate team fights and the one that would go neck deep for a kill. So unless my teams forced to assume defensive positioning call me an invader. Investing my characters life for that kill makes the game all the more fun, especially when your playing a character that can tank.

I would much rather be the invader because it would be more fun to just charge in and decimate everything in sight, and going along with what zander said, a large part of the success of the war is not allowing the other team to win by destroying their defenses. I am sure they are both fun in their own right, but invading seems all the more fun in my opinion. Good question by the way.
