Do you take medicine for something? Whether it be for high blood pressure or a disorder you have or something simple like a headache. I take meds for a disorder I have and also for headaches! I see the average person taking medicine for something but is there anybody here that doesn't take medicine at least once a month for a headache if not everyday for a disorder.

I take medications twice a day for my schizophrenia. I also used to take medication for depression, However I got "over" that and now I don't.
If I don't take my medications for a day it usually doesn't affect me too much. I feel like I'm way to jumpy, or how somebody would feel if they were addicted to something.

Um....yes. I do. I take it everyday, and I have no choice but to pretty much take it. It's not exactly a life or death things but the consequences of me not taking it wouldn't be that pleasant, and more likely, I will be on it for the rest of my life. It does bother me sometimes. The side effects aren't exactly very pleasant, I pretty much feel exhausted all the time. But, it's better than the alternative really, and if it stops another relapse of my illness and allows me to function as normal person, then great. I'll take that over the illness any day. 

I do, I take two types of medications for seizures. As long as I'm taking my medication I'm seizure free. If they get changed my seizures start up again.

I take a lot of medications...I can't list it out as it is very long its to sustain my health like...my life source if I don;t then I will die. Sad of the matter that is true. I have been taking medications for years so...I have to take it, I have no choice but too. But, I would take it to keep me alive because the last thing I want to do is to fall ill. As I am already ill as it is.

I don't take medicine. Of course, I use medications when I get sick or have bad allergies.
I don't take any medicines on a daily basis and would prefer not to be dependent on medicine if it's not necessary. Also, I don't use medicines until it's absolutely necessary. This "boycott" per se isn't for any other reason that to avoid putting chemicals in my body that may have serious adverse side effects.

EideticMemory : I wish I had a choice like you.. I have to take my meds or I will get depressed and won't sleep for days also. My mood will get jerked around as well and I will start having mood swings again. As long as I take my meds I am stable which is good. I went to the eye doctor today and she took my blood pressure and it was high .. now I have to go to the doctor for that because high blood pressure runs in my family I am really hoping that I don't get diagnosed with high blood pressure.. if I do that's another pill I will have to take. It's just not fair why does this have to happen to me.. I really hope I will be okay. The doctors think that is one of the reasons my mom had a light stroke was because her blood pressure was all messed up because she wasn't taking her medicine right. My brother has high blood pressure and half of the rest of my family has to take it.. please keep me in your prayers because I really hope I don't get diagnosed with high blood pressure and have to go on meds for it..

No I don't, some social worker once said I should take pills for sleeping, but I refused. Don't like to be in drugs.

I don't take any medication regularly, and I almost never take common over the counter medicine like ibuprofen or decongestants unless it is really bad.

I don't take medicene. I probably should though. I have the softest skin when it comes to words and how people use them... So i can fall into a depression pretty easily. It always brings me down, and It actually shows in my grades. I'm always get yelled at for it, because my parents don't know it's depression, they just think there kid is slacking off. It just brings me down even more which makes my grades even worse and It just continues into a spiral.

Yes I do I takes my medication for my OCD every night which I have been doing for the last 5 yearz!!

Bintsy : I have medication for my exima its a pain during summer and it also makes my skin react badly if it touches metal for to long.

Well I only take certain medicine for something like headaches and sickness not any daily medicines though besides vitamins dun

Cactuar, I agree. It sounds like once one starts sleep medication, they're either addictive or necessary to fall asleep. 

I'd hate to be that dependent on a drug, where if I don't take it I have sleepless nights.

I have to take one pill a day for an underactive thyroid. If I forget to take it then I become lethargic, my mind becomes cloudy, I can't focus on anything, and my short term memory becomes extremely hindered. Definitely not issues you want when you're still attending high-school. 

No I do not. I have nothing that would need constant medication. I also try to avoid taking anything if I have for instance the flu or something.

I dont take medicine.....so that means nothing is wrong with me. Plus i dont like taking medicine.

With the exception of two Ibuprofen that I took last January, I haven't taken any type of medicine in around ten years, unless a cough drop I had once counts. I won't take medicine for anything, not even cough drops. I'm just thankful that I don't have to.
