If there's one thing I'm really proud of with the Retro Game Room and Video Game Room, it's the search engine. I've put a lot of time into making it as accurate as possible and as quick as possible. Here's what I've done with this latest
update.
When you search for a game, lets say 'Donkey Kong' for example, any game titled 'Donkey Kong' will show up first, than games that start with 'Donkey Kong' will show up next, than games that contain 'Donkey' and 'Kong' will show up after that and than games that have either 'Donkey' or 'Kong' will show up after that. Now each of those will be re-ordered as well. So for example, the first set of games that show up as I said will be games with the exact title of 'Donkey Kong' and those will be re-ordered so that the "best" show up first (with the VGR, the "newest" will show up first). This might not make sense but I'll show you a few examples.
Here's a search for 'Donkey Kong':
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?search=donkey+kong&system=&searchBy=name#searchjump
Here's a search for 'Pokemon Red':
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?search=Pokemon+Red&system=&searchBy=name#searchjump
Here's a search for 'Sonic the hedgehog':
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?search=Sonic+the+hedgehog&system=&searchBy=name#searchjump
So now when you're searching for a game, there's a good chance that the game you're searching for will appear on the first page rather than you having to click on page 2, 3, etc to find it.
