I just got a Wii-U for Christmas, and my boyfriend LOVES Sonic.

What does everyone think of the new Sonic: Lost World game for Wii-U? Any good points?

It's not the best Sonic game I have played, but it isn't bad. I am not a huge Sonic fan, but it was kind of fun. I would say it is worth getting, but don't expect it to be amazing.

I am planning to purchase the video game of Sonic the Hedgehog: Lost World within the future. Considering I do not own this video game, I do not know the majority of the information involving itself, but I do know some of the minority of the information involving itself. I have watched the commercial of Sonic the Hedgehog: Lost World and the video game had appeared to seem excellent. Also, my friend with the name of Issa does own Sonic the Hedgehog: Lost World and he had mentioned to myself that it is great. Anyways, I shall recommend for yourself to purchase this video game!

Sort of. It's almost like Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure DX. The 3DS version starts out great, but the special stages are horrible. Your best bet is the Wii U version.

I've never played the game myself, but I've seen walkthroughs and Let's Plays. They all make the game seem kinda fun, but overall a bit disappointing. My advice would be to rent the game if you can. Once you've rented it and know if you like it or not, choose to make the purchase if it seems like it's worth it. So far, it seems like a very polarizing game. So, hard to give exact advice on if you'd enjoy it or not.

Well I'mma go ahead and tell you about the 3DS version. I believe they can also interact and have similar features.
Game Design
sonic : Lost World is pretty well designed in terms of graphics and music. The story not so much; it's pretty similar in concept to other Sonic games. You can create items, new materials, RC vehicles and more at Tails' Lab (for materials you collected in levels). It's pretty fun until it just gets difficult and hard to understand.
Level Design:
Some of the levels are quite an annoyance because of mechanics which aren't explained. At first, as long as hints are turned on, the game gives you a great idea of the controls and physics. The bosses are, from what I've heard (as I've not yet completed the game), disappointing and not that difficult. Some levels play as 3D worlds and some play as 2D worlds (like how Sonic 1 played). A lot of the levels feature puzzles. A few old features like Whisps return, and Sonic's new moves must be mastered to complete the various worlds in the game.
Special Stage Design:
Eww. Once again, a company has got too into the idea of utilizing a system's various features and have used it in a rubbish way. As usual, they did with the motion sensing 3DS mechanics, and the special stages are very annoying to navigate. There is nothing troubling about the special stages - the difficulty is navigating your house while navigating the stage at the same time.
You might be better off with the Wii U version if you have a Wii U, but I don't have a Wii U so I can't say I've played sonic : Lost World on other systems.
The game is okay, not brilliant, not terrible... Just okay.
