I am not certain if it is possible for Davideo7 to include within the Retro Game Room, but how would you feel about including a system of voice chat within the Retro Game Room? It would be great to be able to speak to other players whilst playing Netplay with themselves or something. Would this even be possible to include and how do you believe it shall end up if it is included?

I will go ahead and add this suggestion to the list, but whether or not this thread should be open for discussion of this voice chat suggestion is up to the moderators of the Retro Game Room forum.

While I believe that this could be a good idea, I also believe it would be a terrible idea. The game chat gets so much spam it's ridiculous - and then add a voice chat, would cause unmanageable drama.

I actually think voice chat would be better utilized in the Netplay sessions. Many times I go to the RGR to play a game by myself. Yeah, it's cool if someone else happens to be playing and they want to make a few typed comments and I'll respond. However, in the RGR I'm there for the game.

When I create a Netplay session it is for the expressed purpose of interacting with my friends or others. In this case, it would be nice to have as an option.

tRIUNE is right though, it would be a nightmare or impossible to mod in the RGR or in Netplay.

tRIUNE : I had forgotten to mention that maybe there may be a "Mute User" option available, if that user is trash talking, saying inappropriate words, or even causing trouble, that would most likely definitely come in handy. Then, nobody would be able to hear them. Although, users who cause trouble would have most likely been banned by now, don't you think? Also, when you are playing a video game located within the Retro Game Room, it is a tad difficult to type and play at the exact time. Also, there may also be a "Report User" option, weather they are using offensive language or anything else, the user could send a report explaining what is occurring. Well, if this actually is able to be included, that would be great, but I do comprehend if it does not receive support. Thank you!

thephantombrain : As for you, I do experience that, too. Some times you would mot know if there is actually someone playing the exact voice game as yourself, but read what I had included above; my response to tRIUNE.

The main thing here is that we would first have to implement a chat room for RGR, which would be in my opinion 100 times more demanding to moderate than the vizzed chat.
