Nintendo announced last night that they are going to release a Zelda game, currently titled "Hyrule Warriors", which will be a hack 'n' slash starring Link. There is not a better possible idea for a crossover than to have a crossover with Dynasty Warriors.

I saw this news when I woke up on Facebook. Although I haven't played a ton of Dynasty Warriors, this does sound like a cool crossover idea.

I don't have a WiiU yet, but I'm planning on getting one at some point. I will totally have to pick this one up.

I just saw this last night. I thought this was an amazing idea. I would definitely buy this.

I'm hoping its the Samurai Warriors team or One Piece team of Omega Force working on this. The Dynasty Warriors team have been slacking, especially with the A.I and with the annoying Affinity System. No room to combo at all. This looks great though. I may update time to time if they can get scans in before the site does. Though I've been busy.

There's most likely more than one character, obviously Zelda in her TP outfit. Maybe Midna, Ganondorf, Ghirahim, Goron/Deku/Zora Link.

That...Was...AWESOME!! /)^3^( My jaw actually dropped, and I was on the edge of my seat for that trailer. That looks GLORIOUS! Well, seeing the Bokoblins from Skyward next to the incredibly high resolution giant Dodongo was a bit weird, but DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID WITH THE FLAME STAFF?! I'm so getting this!

Well this does look a little promising yet I just don't see Link suiting a hack and slash game. I guess it is a fun cross over but shouldn't be solving puzzles?
I really don't want to be the kill joy of all of the excitement but there are a few things I want to point out. For me there is little depth in Hack and Slash games, there is no variety. Platformers are the same concept all the way through but things change, you need different techniques but nothing really happens in Hack and Slash games only the difficulty increases. The Legend of Zelda series is known for having unimaginable depth so would this game ruin that image?
I feel I will have a lot of fun with this game but it just looks as though it will end too fast or just get boring after a while.
Nintendo should be working on the next big Zelda game, not a spin-off.

I'm just hoping they won't have a weapon tempering system, Dynasty Warriors 8 is frustrating me with it right now. With Sengoku Musou 4 on the way I will have high expectations.

soldierbot159: I never said that hack and slash games were bad. They just lack depth. Koei are good at what they do, and it is fun playing their games like Dynasty Warriors but those games are just one time plays. You beat it in one or two plays, you never play it again unless you want to play it competitively (like a speedrun). That is how things seem to go about for me and this game genre. I will probably still get this anyway because they are fun, just not for as long as some others. It lacks replayability...

This game looks promising, I would honestly try it in the future if I were to get a Wii U, which I probably will (mostly for X). I do enjoy Dynasty Warriors and Zelda is all right, so I would probably like it.

If I ever get a Wii U, I'll definitely be getting this game. I've never played Dynasty Warriors, but it looks really fun. I love how they merged Dynasty Warriors with The Legend of Zelda.
