I would mostly agree, the only time you should take candy from a stranger would be Halloween, but any non-Halloween day, then it is extremely wise to not take any candy from any stranger. so my view,if you're young, it's better to have some adult supervision with you if you want to get candy from them to check if it's safe or not, no matter if Halloween or not.

There is a very big and popular play ground in the town next to where I live.

Families bring food for their kids and one time my niece decided she would accept an offer from one of the other parents.  I had a long sit down with her about having me or her grand parents take a look at what is being offered.  From then on I just brought snacks for her to have.  Then I ran into the problem she wanted to share her snacks with other kids I told her that I would have to speak to the adults taking care of the other kid before the snacks could be shared.

It's something you have to teach your kids early on.  Or they can get themselves into big trouble.

When I went to church people used to give me candys and what not's .. it's not a big deal in my opinion as long as you remember to get an adult to check it!

Well cuz they are STRANGERS ... meaning they are STRANGE ... you know nothing about them and therefore should accept nothing from them . It doesn't have to be poisoned ... it can be a normal candy bar ... but it also shows that you start to build trust .. and trust is a dangerous weapon to abuse . AAAAnd they can contain drugs that they use to get you high and kidnap you ... its just the principe ok ? No taking from strange people .

I'd take candy from strangers mainly because the chances of contaminated candy is really low.

If it's packaged correctly and I see no problems... Down the hatch. I mean seriously, the only problem I see would possibly be allergies. But even then you're naturally careful about EVERYTHING you eat.

Unless that really edgy lookin' dude gives me some strange thing I've never seen before, I probably won't think too much about it.
