Pokemon Light Platinum EXP glitch?

I started Light Platinum a few weeks ago and a few days ago i started to notice that I wasnt getting nearly as much EXP as i should be getting. When I was facing diamond right before the elite four i got 40 EXP! for beating a level 65 pokemon...cmon. It seems to cut the EXP for almost every pokemon(sometimes I get 2k EXP but rarely) Is this happening to anyone else? and Can I fix it some how?

This is most likely not a glitch since it has pokemon from 4th-5th gen their EXP giving might not have been fixed since there are some like venipede that give a lot. And there is no way to fix it unless you know how to use a hex editor pretty well.

   I noticed the same thing so I just kept on playing the game. It only happened to me on certain Pokémon. Don't worry though you will have many chances at gaining more exp. Try finding the Lucky Egg item. I have two now , it will boost the exp given to your Pokémon when you fight. It does help a lot and you can just farm some exp if you aren't doing so well in the main battles (Gym/Team/Elite). Good luck and hopefully this helped somewhat!
