I recently posted to a thread and bumped a post that was over 6 months old. Then someone was like..."its better not to do that". I am a newbie and I have gone through the rules and I hope I remember them correctly but, I was not aware of a limit as to thread times. I would like to suggest that we have some type of section that gives an informative idea generally how the forums work and so on. Thank you!!! (and if I totally missed that rule about thread bumping please would you mind pointing me into the right direction)

edit: another suggestion is it would be i think most lovely if we could edit in our friends lists on how we categorize them such as from say online friend  to say "special friend" and so on. (if we can actually do this plz forgive me for not knowing and clue me in???) thankz.

Does David ever check this thread?

I think they should make the censor actually work. I'm not sure if it censors posts or not, but it doesn't work on profile comments, VGR or RGR comments, and photo album comments. You would think that would only be a minor problem, but I see this problem surprisingly often. This site is supposed to be family friendly, but if it doesn't censor swear words... well, you know.

I think David should edit the spoiler coding. Right now it looks like this:
Spoiler:
Spoiler
You have to highlight the words with your mouse to see it and it can't be used to make parts of a post smaller. I think it should look something like this:

Spoiler TitleSpoiler Contents

I think that would be better because when making a game guide or review viewers can read through and find what they want to see faster. This should be a simple 5-10 minute change.

Edit: I just tested it and the second one works on mobile (iPhone) and the first doesn't.

I'm so sorry for replying very late to this.

oldschoolboyz :

Hi, there's generally no rule about bumping (replying to threads that haven't been responded to in a long time) on the main forums. The reason for this is because there's an auto-script on most forums that will close threads if they are too old. There may be rules regarding it on rented forums, however. Rented Forums are forums that are modded by trusted members or above, and usually site moderators don't control its rules or content. The only time they do is if it gets out of hand.

When in doubt, you can always contact the moderator (the ones in charge) of the forums. You can view the moderators here by scrolling down. You'll see that under a specific forum, there will be Forum Mods under it. The link I gave will only show site moderators. The only ones that don't have this are the Rented Forums and The Cans.

I would recommend looking over the FAQ, but I'm afraid it is incredibly outdated. So for that reason, feel free to create a thread in the Help Forum with your questions.

As for the Friendlist thing, you can do that. On the top of the screen, you will see the Control Panel. From there, under GENERAL, click on Friend List.

When you add a friend, you will see a Relation category under it. You can select Other and put in whatever you want, such as "Special Friend." However, there isn't any way to change the categories of friends you already have on your friend list. So in order to change it, you have to remove them from your list and re-add them in your friend list doing what I just described.

TheFadedWarrior :

I did send him a reminder to check this thread during the summer. I believe he does, though, because I saw some implemented updates that were suggested in this thread. I just haven't updated this thread to reflect those.

So.. I was editing one of my post in the thread about transgender, and when I finished I came up with this.
It may be hard to code, though.
If you edit your podt, if you add words, you earn Viz for the added, new words. If you remove words to make the post shorter, it removes the Viz from the removed words, the Viz you'd get for that added, will be instead taken away.
Is this by any chance possible? Thanks. :3

thing1 : I personally don't see any point to requiring a reason for taking TP's away. Only staff+ can anyway, and we wouldn't hire anyone who we didn't trust to work for Vizzed's benefit, so it'd simply be a list of allowed requests that remove the aspect of privacy David implemented earlier this year (anonymous TP actions). Rather than getting annoyed at people taking your TP's away, it'd be good to recognize that it's only staff taking the TP away and it's probably worth considering why we would.

To stay on topic... I'd like to suggest that, on the 'new posts' page, there is an option to go to a specific page rather than just the first one. On many forums, you'll see the title, then the option to go to either page 1, 2, 3, or last. I think that'd be a convenient addition.

mrfe : Well, you can give a TP, and then take it back, like I did with The Planned Accident. I thought he was a good guy, and then I forgot he turned into a jerk after he came into my stream and we had to ban him 31 different total times.

Like, if you take back a TP, or give negative TP, you should have to give a reason as to why you did it. That way, you can't abuse it no matter what, regardless of whether or not you are staff.

Please add an indicator that the "1 thread per day" rule for newbies applies to reviews as well.

I just wrote a lengthy review for a game; under the game's webpage for the game it allowed me to click the "post review" button and enter text, so I naturally assumed that reviews were exempt from the "1 per day rule". After writing my review and hitting 'submit', I was greeted with an error error message and my review text was completely lost: This is very frustrating. The link to enter review text should be disabled if it's subject to the "1 per day" rule to avoid this confusion.

Would it be possible to "accelerate" video approval? Some I've posted haven't been approved and it's been over two months. They are fairly short...
