Hello, Vizzed Users & Guests!

This will be my first Christmas on Vizzed.?I've enjoyed my time here so much! It's been amazing on the board & in the game room, I'm sure you can ALL relate! SO,?I decided to make a Special Give-Back to Vizzed Giveaway!

I've never gave a HUGE amount of Viz before, mainly because I didn't have it until recent months when I began posting quite a lot. I've decided to do a MASSIVE Giveaway for all Vizzed Users. I will be giving one lucky individual 100,000 Viz. Yes, 100,000.

By now you're obviously thinking that for 100,000 Viz you must have to do put great effort into making something fantastic. Nope, that's definitely not the case! All I want you to do is to tell me what you love most about Christmas. May it be presents, giving to charity, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Whatever!

To make it clear.

You must write a piece on what you love about Christmas. You can write a poem, a short story, or just a paragraph explaining simply what you love about Christmas. The most creative, detailed and original pieces will have the best shot at winning! Don't forget spelling, punctuation and grammar!?

There are a few rules to follow when taking part in this competition.

1. Your pieces must be
50 words minimum. 500 words maximum. (Remember* Quality, not Quantity)
2. Don't directly copy another users. You can get ideas from them though.
3. You only get ONE ENTRY!
4. General Vizzed Rules Apply.
5. Entries are posted below.

ALSO! Don't forget, you don't have to write it all at once. You can add/edit/remove parts of your piece any time you like. Just make sure it's complete by the 28th of this month.

Good Luck! & ?If you've any questions contact me!

PRIZE - 100,000

Dean2k13 : What I like most about Christmas is being with family. Family. How do I describe family? Family are the people who love you. Respect you. Care for you. Your family brought you to this world and Christmas is the time of the year to celebrate with them. Christmas is Jesus's birthday. Jesus died for our sins are he gave us the life we live now. If you pray to him, he'll take you places you could never possibly imagine. Christmas is a time of giving. Giving to family. A friend. You can bake someone close to you treats, give them a present from the heart.

One time in world War II, everyone stopped to sing Christmas songs with each other. Christmas should be a time of peace, worship, and sometimes craftsmanship. What do I like most about Christmas? Giving, being with family, praying to Jesus Christ. When Christ died on the cross, he was sad because of him being bullied by people against Jesus. Taunting him. Hurting him. But as one of the devil worshipers watched Jesus die, he was in sorrow because the sins would be gone. Jesus has done us a favor, and that's why we celebrate Christmas. We can do what Jesus says we can do and we do what he tells us to do. On December 25, we get to worship ye who changed everything. Christmas's giving span keeps expanding. We give to friends, family, Jesus, and Jesus gives to us. Friends give to us. Family gives to us.

When I was eleven years old, in New York City, I had created a clay ocarina. When I saw a homeless person on the streets of New York, I ran to him, game him the ocarina, wished him a merry Christmas, and told him that God would bless him.

Christmas isn't about going to Target to get a video game for a friend or child. It's more than that. It's manipulating your love and soul to make things merry and for Jesus and all who you worship and who worship you to be grateful.

God bless Jesus.

I'll edit it in later (I lost my good poem and it'll never be as good. I need time to rewrite it, and I'll make it perfect.)

Edit: Ah jeez, I completely forgot about this. Now I have to think of one off of the top of my head. Well...here I go.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of year,
With bright lights and soft white snow,
The time of the year for joyous cheer,
And the Christmas presents make kids glow.

With joy of course, they admire Santa,
They believe in him and his elves,
Christmas day is quite the extravaganza,
A day when families enjoy themselves.

A day where families truly bond,
From the morning to the night,
Parents and kid go to infinity and beyond,
Cooperation definitely feels right.

But what's the best part of Christmas day,
I mean what makes it so internationally credible,
There's a lot to do on this national holiday,
But what makes Christmas so incredible?

Is it the effort that the parents exert,
To make their kids happy on this day?
Is it the time families spend at a Chrismas concert,
Or is it when they go to mass to pray?

Is it the Christmas games that starts at noon,
That makes NBA fans unbelievably joyous?
Is it the snowball fights that happen in the afternoon,
Or is it the Christmas dinner that makes one full?

Is it the fact that Jesus Christ was born,
The day that everyone calls Christmas,
When the mass bells ring and Church clothes are worn,
Or is it because of a profitable business?

But they all are important to make this day whole,
Without it one would miss the experience of true Christmas cheer,
When they have all of this, one can truly know,
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.

And thats it. I hope that it counts because it took me a while to come up with. Good luck to everyone who entered.

I don't have one thing I love the most. For me, Christmas is like a recipe... if you have too much or too little of something, the whole thing is ruined.

I love my family and spending time with them.
I love my presents.
I love Jesus.
I love the food.

Last Christmas I actually felt very materialistic and "not feeling the Christmas spirit," so I cried a lot. I had everything but that feeling of happy celebration of His birth, so I really was upset. But I 'fixed' it later.

Well, being I was a little child years back I only cared about getting new toys and other things like that. But I have grown older since?and more mature and found the true meaning of Christmas. I personally, now feel the joy of just getting to see and be with my family.
Before in the year my Grandmother had a fire in her house, she survived (Thank God) but it made me realize that I was so lucky to be able to visit her this Christmas. Now I understand that Christmas is not time to spend with presents (entirely) but to spend time with family and loved ones and that the best present and any other joy is having people who love you around you and who will always be there for you.

Christmas has always been a day that my family always count down the days for. On the last day, no one can sleep. I love Christmas not because the presents, but because of the time I had to spend with my family, and actually bond with them. My family almost never got together like this. On Christmas, everyone was happy, but on days before Christmas my family is so divided I sometimes wonder if we even love each other. I guess Christmas is just there to show us that. Unfortunately, my family moved to Washington away from my cousins and my grandmas and grandpas. Our Christmas felt empty and it was only my siblings and my parents. But there was one new thing to look forward too, and that was the snow. It rarely happens on Christmas for us, but when it does it can really bring our family together. It makes us feel more at ease. That's why I love Christmas, because of the time we get to spend together as a family.

Christmas, Christmas, a great time of year.
A time to send gifts; A time to spread cheer!
Christmas is a lovely, lovely holiday.
Nobody on christmas is filled with dismay.
My favorite thing 'bout Christmas is celebrating the birth
Of our Lord Jesus Christ, because so much it's worth!
I love to get presents, right under the tree.
I feel as though Santa thought specially of me.
The snow is great, a beautiful white.
It's nice to look at late in the night.
The cities are gleaming, it's festive out there.
Night like these on Christmas are not very rare.
As you can see, Christmas is great.
Spend it with your families, or go on a date!

I really hope I win :3

What I like about Christmas is pretty simple.

For me, family has always been a very strange concept. We are in many ways a broken family. I went most of my life without a father figure, and when I finally got one, he never really cared for me.

As such, I grew jaded to the idea of family. For the longest time, I saw my family as my enemies as a result of my upbringing.

Now however, that he is no longer a part of my life, and I am not ostracized, I see what family is.

Family is a group of people, whether they are related or not, that come together and enjoy each others company. They may not get along, but they love each other.

Christmas to me is the perfect chance for family to be together, cooped up in a house, and getting to experience a day off together. Christmas is a chance at all the things I was robbed of.

This is very nice of you!

I love Christmas. It is my favorite time of year. Everything seems to become more cheerful and happy. Although the weather becomes cold and nasty, you can stay warm and cozy inside with some hot chocolate.

On Christmas Eve I go to my Grandma's house and celebrate with my mom's side of the family. It is always so much fun! We are Italian, so there is a lot of good food that my family makes. We eat seven different types of fish on Christmas Eve, which is an Italian tradition. The whole day, my cousin (who is 21, but is a kid on the inside), my brother, and I are asking when we can open presents and begging and annoying everyone so we can open them sooner. After dinner and dessert (which seems to take forever), we finally get to open presents!

On Christmas Day, me and my brother wake up early and run into my mom's room and yell and jump on her bed until she wakes up. We then go downstairs and open presents. After we have opened all of our presents at my mom's house, my dad comes and takes my brother and I to his house to open presents from him. Then, after that, we go to my other Grandma's house and celebrate with my dad's side of the family. Christmas with my dad's side is a lot different than Christmas Eve with my mom's side. We do presents early, before dinner. We usually only get about 3 presents. There are a lot of kids on my dad's side, so we do a "Secret Santa" instead of buying for everyone. Christmas with my dad's side is especially cool because I get to see my cousins. They all live in different states, so Christmas is the only time I really get to see them.

One Christmas tradition that I do is making cookies with my mom. They are my great-grandma's recipe and they taste delicious! We make tons of them and eat them all the time.

I would write more, but I do not want it to be too lengthy. I hope you enjoyed reading about what Christmas is like to me!

What I like most about Christmas is being with family. It's also good to play and laugh along with your family and siblings. Even though they can be annoying to boot, they're still going to be in your family no matter what happens

Dean2k13 : What I like about Christmas the most isn't the actual day, it's the thought that Christmas is coming. Even weeks before Christmas, just knowing that Christmas is right around the corner is enough to bring anybody the amount of happiness needed to get through the month. I love getting presents, but the anticipation, wondering, and thrill of what you may get is just as nice.

When I think about Christmas I think positive thoughts. It's a time to relax from school and work. Al people need a break sometime. It's also a good time to be with friends and family, and the people you care the most about. It's about generosity (like giving a away 100000 viz!) and having a good time. The presents are nice too. But you really have to think about what Christmas really represents. I also think of carols and songs, trees, snow, and Santa Claus. And for some reason Christmas makes me think of cookies. Another reason I can't wait for Christmas is that my sister will be coming back from college to visit (so many evil thoughts of how to prank my sister are in my head!!! Just kidding!)
May you all have a merry, jolly, and happy fun filled Christmas! These post are really positive and interesting and they really help with the holiday spirit! This thread is a great idea!
I may come back and add a poem by EDITING my post.

Christmas... It doesn't matter if it's spent with family, friends, or even strangers. The truth is, it's always merry to be with someone during Christmas and it's eve. Those gift giving rituals? It sounds like just another one of those marketing schemes to some people, but when you think about it; if someone were to give you a gift, it makes you really happy, right? When I receive a gift, I think of that gift as a piece of the person who gave it to me. So whenever I look at that gift, I don't feel so lonely anymore.

Watching as the snowflakes soundly fall
sitting by the tree nearly eight feet tall
with gifts for the family back to the wall

Oh what a joy to see
your young siblings set free
opening their gifts with glee

the cookies you bake
and the memories you make
are what make up life's snowflake

The time you spend
and the love you send
is how you shelter the wind
and protect the joy
This Joy of Christmas

To be honest I have never really been too much of a fan of this holiday. You may be think that I am some sort of reincarnation of Scrooge but everything has become physical and material and I am a bit of a traditionalist..Of course it is nice to get your desired gift on christmas day and I can not lie, I have enjoyed receiving gifts throughout my winter lifetime. People usually forget the concept of the meaning of christmas and just take all of the gifts for granted. A majority of my friends do not even write thank you letters or call the people who thought about them. I know it bores people to hear it since it has become a cliche on festive movies but it is still important to remember that christmas is about giving. This is what I like about christmas.

It makes me smile when I open a present even if it is something I certainly did not want. For instance every year I seem to get pajamas and most of my family know that I don't wear them. It can come from members of my family tree that I have not seen for ages so I have to ask my parents for verification to who they are and where they belong in my family. I like this a lot even if the present was useless. It makes you realise that even people that have only seen you once or twice as a young child still care about. Of course we must treat others how we want to be treated. In this case I must thank the giver through email, card or phone to show my respect. In some cases I would even have the chance to physically see the giver to show my thanks.

What I am saying here is that we all must give our bit, it can be small or if you are generous enough it can be large. Seeing all of this take place makes me happy.

Christmas is a time of happiness. It's not just a time to open presents. I know that this sounds cliche but, it really is a time of happiness if you think hard about it. Even if you don't get any presents, or even not spend time with your family, or even if you don't have a family. You still feel happy inside because you know other people are getting presents, and spending time with their family.
