The lack of mortality, I have heard several reports of people super gluing razor blades on play ground equipment and soiling them selves and sliding down children slides. That is just sickening, what the hell is the world coming to when children are getting hurt by peoples heartless sick sense of humor. Not only that, animal abuse, child abuse, betrayal of friends family, It just seems that society has less and less good people in it everyday, I am thankful for the few that are left in this world and hope they never loose their good hearts and morals.

The thing that worries me most about society is that people don't pay attention to the things that matter, mostly involving the government of their country. Like when American Idol gets ten times as many viewers as an electoral primary to decide who will be the next president of the country! Or when people can find time to spend hours upon hours playing some mindless video game or going out drinking themselves silly, but they can't find time to vote. I'm sure everybody knows at least one person who acts like this and it's honestly sickening.

Then these people complain that things aren't being run the way they want them to be run, but they still refuse to get involved! It drives me mad when I have to deal with these kinds of people and I'm confident that they are by far and away the biggest problem with our society!!

The thing that concerns me more than any other is something has always existed and always will exist. That thing is ignorance. It's one thing when you never had a chance to know something. But when you actively choose to shun knowledge? That's just despicable. More people need to be able to look at every side of things and actually know what's going on around them.

What is something about society that worries me (today)?, well here is a short list of problems or subjects about society that worries me.

Abortion
Economy
Self worth
North Korea

Abortion is something that worries me because your killing children more specifically babies. "Most people will argue your not killing babies your killing a clump of cells" well this isn't true. This is how an abortion happens, first the mother is cut open then the fetus's neck is snapped then they cut the limbs and remove them, then the re-assemble the limbs(basically the body) on the operating table to make sure they got all of the "fetus" out. This worries me because a child was just murdered and you just allowed that to happen.

Economy, the economy is something I worry about because I'd hate to live in a depression like what was seen in the Great Depression in the 1920's. Plus since the U.S. basically runs the world if we do bad economically then it literally effects every country world wide.

Individual's self worth is something I worry about because I've seen how people tend to dress and represent them self in public and quite honestly it's sad and makes you question if they even cre about them selfs or how they portray themselves or even do they realize how trashy, unruly and ill-mannered they look.

North Korea is something I worry about, I worry about the people there because they are all mostly poor and malnourished(all some brained washed) due to the fact they are ruled by a idiotic, man child whose obsessed with building military and personal gain when he has a nation where it's people is poor, and starving.

Neo Arcadia :

On the subject of abortion, and purely for the sake of argument, which do you think is worse: a fetus terminated quickly by means of an abortion, or a mother being forced to go through with the pregnancy and then doing something like this or this or this or this, resulting in the end of the child's life in a slower and more painful manner, because the mother is obviously too irresponsible to have a child? It's true that most cases would never be this severe, but a lot of teen pregnancies result in abortions because, honestly, a 16-year-old girl is not fit to be a mother, especially if she won't receive any help from her family. Why bring a child into a world where it will know nothing but hunger and misery?

On the subject of the economy, all I have to say is that I'm more worried about the day that China might have a serious depression than I would be about one happening stateside. We don't "run the world".

Zurenriri : In the case of a 16 year old becoming pregnant there are plenty of options a 16 year old pregnant girl could take, first off you could easily take birth control, or the morning after pill, or even purchase spermicide after un-protected sex to make sure she doesn't become pregnant , but if that fails, she could have the child and give it up for adoption. How would you feel if you were ripped out of a womb limbs disassembled and then reassembled just to verify if they got all of you out. Also if these steps are taken the child wouldn't be hungry or miserable depending on factors like who the child is adopted by and how the childis brought up/raised.

As for the economy, The United States could compete with China's output industrial materials wise  it's just most of our factories are not used and products would cost more because of labor laws and wage fee's. And the United States basically run the world in the sense of we set the example for most developed and developing nations like China.

Neo Arcadia : There are other options, and it's a good thing that these other options exist, otherwise there would be many more unnecessary abortions and child deaths. However, there are always going to be people who simply do not think (like a 16-year-old girl who thinks she's found her true love). Adoption is still a possibility, but also, what if the woman simply made a mistake and doesn't want to go through nine months of pregnancy?

The United States can compete with China in some aspects, and in others it cannot. China has natural resources that we do not have, and a much larger population to boot. Things are made cheaper in China because, like you said, they don't have the workplace regulations that we do. However, if a depression were to happen there, the demand for products would have to be provided from some place. The US may very well be meeting those demands, which would come with pros and cons. The pros would be more manufacturing jobs. The cons would be increased scarcity and skyrocketing prices. That's not something I'm willing to put up with. Plus, for every job gained in the US, that's one lost in China. I wouldn't want to put a Chinaman out of work any sooner than I'd want to put a fellow American out of work. Call me unpatriotic if you like, because it's probably the truth.
