Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

Having a good time with my friends, playing good video games or doing other things I really like makes me lose track of time. And also sometimes when I just think something.

The main two things that make me lose track of time are playing videogames, and working out. Either one of those two activities, if I partake in them it feels like mins are seconds, hours are mins, and seconds non-existant. Another honorable mentioned is doing homework. That makes time fly by for me as well.

I quite often also lose track of time while playing a game... Any kind of game at that. (Sports outside, games on Vizzed... etc.) I also lose track of time when I'm really into my schoolwork as well.

Video games tend to do that, lets see what else, watching videos on youtube on my 360, more so since I have a playlist of Christmas Videos so thats going to take up a lot of time. I also do a lot of roleplaying online, I'm in multiple roleplays so that does a lot, there is minecraft and the videos I do for that, games games and more games, wait already mentioned that. Coming onto here and gaming, and of course more games...wait did I already mention them, yeah I did kinda see a pattern here LOL. I also read a lot of manga and that makes me lose track of time if I binge read, same with watching anime on hulu, it really can pass the time and make you go, "One more episode, just one more episode and then I'm done"

yeah I have a lot of ways to lose time and stay up till 2 LOL.

Eating my food at a slow pace.  That's what makes me lose track of time and I wish I could step it up so that way I don't have to rush to finish whatever was on my plate.

The fact that "time flies when you're having fun" is so true says a lot about how time is just a perceptual construct.

Normally, I have an excellent sense of passing time. If you give me the time, I can calculate exactly how much time has passed since then at any given moment (provided I haven't gotten distracted in the process). But If I'm doing something I'm really engaged in, say video games, my sense of time goes out the window. Everything seems to happen too fast when I'm actually doing stuff.

Time also seems to pass too quickly when I'm trying to sleep. There was this one time where I got home and I needed to take a nap. So I laid my head down on the pillow and closed my eyes for about two seconds, and I heard my alarm go off. Turns out, I had actually slept for sixteen straight hours, and it was already the next morning. It didn't feel like I had slept at all though.

I could say much, but I'll limit it to several smaller things that make me lose track of time. Games, PC, Console, Board, Card, and pretty much any other games makes me lose complete knowledge of what time it is. I don't lose track of time when it comes down to speed games like Dutch Blitz though. It has to be a game that is more time intensive, something where it takes longer to beat.

Youtube: That's right. I watch the comedy group Studio C, almost all day. They're funny, which makes me just watch and watch their videos without checking the time. There are several other channels and video types where I just forget about time.

Vizzed: You all have experienced that... You start reading comments on a subject, or start making a long post, and there went a half an hour or more just from one thread. That makes me lose track, because I get too involved.

Things that cause me to lose track of time are really fun video games as well as TV shows. Also sometimes when I'm at work I lose track of time when it's really busy.

I would have to say that there are actually 2 things that make me lose track of the time.

The first thing is probably something that everybody would agree with me on, and that is playing video games. I start playing games on my PS3 at 11am, and 5 minutes later, its 3pm and I have to leave for work. I had no idea that 4 hours went by in 5 minutes! XD

Another thing is bowling/work. I know that the "work" part might sound crazy, but I love doing what I do at work. I am the manager of a bowling pro shop in Atlanta, and as I said, I love it! I only work for 4-5 hours at a time, but I doesn't seem that long at all, especially when I'm busy at my shop.

But it is true...time flies when you're having fun!

Not a bad idea for a thread...a lot of opportunity for replies anyway.  Albeit, I'm sure there are many repeats given the site this is posted to.

Well, to start things off, I'd have to say playing video games, reading through threads, typing reviews that never actually post because I guess I can't post reviews from my game profile page-but instead in the game's page in the retro game room and trying to find a decent background for my layout and apply it (which I'm hoping to see when I post this.)

Also, I'd have to say reading my daily dose of news and watching videos of said news.  Then researching the stories from several different sources to ensure that I've heard multiple perspectives on whatever story I read or watched.  The news pundits put their own spin on many of the stories or just plain don't cover some, depending on which network or other news outlet we're talking about.  There are lots of them too.  Everyone knows about FOX, MSNBC and CNN...but there are also Reuters, Breitbart, RT, BBC and other televised networks.  There are also countless youtube shows which cover the same things (although some are just plain unbearable if you have a leaning politically.)  If interested, check out The Young Turks, Majority Report, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes and Secular Talk for leftist perspectives.  Check out the Blaze, Rush Limbaugh Podcast, and countless unaffiliated commentators with their own youtube accounts for the right wing perspectives.  And then there are the alternative media outlets with the likes of Drudge Report, Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, Red Pill Revolution, David Icke and a slew of others.  With such a diverse source of perspectives on some of the same news stories, it's quite time consuming to watch or listen to them all.  And then there are the comment threads!  Oh boy...if just listening to the stories was time consuming, gauging public opinion by reading comments on these stories and watching trolls wreak havoc is even more so.  Hours will go by, and it will be time for class or work.

Drinking also has a way of dissolving away your awareness-especially if there's a time frame involved.  Hanging out with my buddies, having some beers, talking about days past, discussing plans for the future and all kinds of other drunk talk gets pretty time consuming.  I'm sure some of you out there know what I mean-those of you over 21, of course It will feel like you just sat down and had a couple beers and talked for a few minutes-only to find out it's been hours and the girlfriend is all pissed off you're not home yet.

Any musicians out there?  I know if I'm writing a song or practicing through a set for an upcoming performance, sometimes it will be half a day and not seem nearly as long.  I always consider this time well spent though.  It doesn't cost anything, you're perfecting a craft and it always feels really good to nail it on performance night.  Ha!  And there's also the drinking that goes along with this one sometimes too.  Yeah, that helps the time really fly by as well.

Well, speaking of losing track of time...it's time I've finished with this post and gotten on with my day.

Video games is a big one. Wasn't I using my computer (yay for Vizzed!), I would probably skip meals and sleeping because I want always more.

Reading is another one. When the book catches my attention, I can read it for hours at the time.

So is work. During New Year's Eve, I had this big contract I had to start. Had I been alone, I would have missed the ball drop and probably have kept going until I fell on my keyboard.

Finally, intellectual conservations are also a big time eraser. During an internship last year, I went to many libertarian happy hours and would probably have missed the last bus if I hadn't so far to go

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
