Sony recently made a video entitled For the Players Since 1995, with the leading hashtag being "#playstation memories", bringing the question, what great memories or times have Sony's systems given you?

Personally, I didn't grow up with a Sony system, I more recently got into them, but a lot of my friends did, and I'd always go over their houses and we'd play a lot of great games. One of the best memories was when I went over to an old friend's house and played Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Hoping for correct spelling) for the entire night.

What beautiful systems, what good times they've brought to everybody who has played them.

Here's the video, it's pretty great.

My personal favorite memory was playing Tales of the Abyss on the PS2. It was me, my little sister, and my wife. We played that game for endless hours, pretty sure if I go back to the game and look at the time saved into that game it would be close to 600+ hours. It just helped the three of us bond together more. There are more "Playstation memories" like that but this one is the one I cherish most.

I remember playing  Yugioh Forbidden Memories for the first time on the Playstation and my dad did not really want me to get it, but once I bought it, we would play all the time.

Oh joy this was the most annoying game in the world, but it sure leaves a great memory. Me and my friend used to play this game called Tiny Tanks. It's basically a 3rd person tank shooter. You could pick up this weapon that would drop small minion tanks to follow your enemy wherever they went and blow up on them. I'll always remember my friend yelling at me about all the little minion tanks chasing him and blowing him up.

My best PlayStation memory is when I was playing star wars battle front 2 with my ex friend josh, and we were on kasheek. I was a sniper for the imperial army and he was on the rebel forces, and the most funny thing was that when I was sniping on one of the towers, he kept going to the same spot over and over and over again and I kept popping him in the head. I got so many medals for it in the game, and he couldn't find where I was for like, 5 minutes, so he turned off the PlayStation and started crying because I kept killing him xD And I had to leave because I was laughing so hard that he was crying over a video game, especially because we were thirteen. And now he actually hates me and flips me off every time he drives by me when I'm walking to the store. Were 20 now. And hes still pissed about it. My life and my town.

The Ps1 was actually the first new console I owned, my brother and I would play Grand Tourismo for hours on end and then I got Tekken 2 and all my friends came over and we would play it for hours but eventually I got too good for everyone and everyone was really salty about it so no one came over anymore

Likewise with me; owned the PS1 ever since I was an intern instead of a full doctor. To this day, I can still remember playing oldschool Spyro the Dragon with my family. Heck, I can remember the full layout of a few levels, and I haven't played it in ages. Good games, good times.

I remember playing Spyro the Dragon with my sister. We both loved that game. I haven't played that game in years, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

It was 2007. I had finally beaten Jak 2, my first video game (I technically beat Jak 1, but the game didn't give me the full ending because I didn't get all the power cells) and I loved it. It influenced my humor and taste of games. I still remember the credits and the Haven city theme. I am gonna go watch ScottishDuck play it (my like, 1,000,000th time rewatching his LP of it) later tonight.

Man, that brings back so many memories. I got my PlayStation in '99, I think. And my best PlayStation memory is probably playing Dino Crises or Tomb Raider with my sister. Unless we count PS2 memories, then it would be Narnia with Mom, or Tiger Woods 2004 with my dad. There are just too many memories to even scratch the surface.

Frankly, I believe that it was Pac-Man World. That game was near to impossible for me to beat back then. Ah, those were great time back then. Sitting in front of a console all day trying to beat a game in one sitting. Great times!

Honestly, I probably couldn't name a best memory. I could name a few of my favorite early memories with the systems though. I never had an original PlayStation and it wasn't until, I think, 2002, that I got my PS2. So when I did finally get the system, I was extremely excited to play just about anything I could get my hands on. Specifically, I had great times playing Destroy All Humans, Pac-Man World 2, and also Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Gauntlet was just about my favorite game to play with my friends, I was first introduced it through another friend of mine, and when I got the game we would play it together for hours on end. I literally couldn't get enough of it. After a while though, my mom started getting mad at me for playing too long, and so she started limiting me to an hour a day.

I remember at the time I was at the end of my "Nintendo" era. I had been one of those Nintendo > Sega kids since I had my NES, however a problem" came around the time of the SNES. I got HEAVILY into RPGs. Sure I played Dragon Quest I, II, and III on the NES but I never beat them (rentals) but thanks to Nintendo Power V30 I really wanted to play Final Fantasy II (IV). Once I did, I marathon-ed that game to completion and caught the bug. Fast forward to N64 era, Nintendo Power canceled its RPG segment "Epic Center" in I think V90 with the comment, "Due to the chronic lack of new epic games in North America, and a relatively robust line up of action and sports games that need to be covered, Epic Center will not be in the December issue of Nintendo Power. In future issues, Epic Center will appear whenever we have new materials that warrant a column." After playing games like Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy III (VI), Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire, Ogre Battle, Super Mario RPG, and Earthbound what did I have to look forward to in the N64 library? Quest 64........no offense to anyone that likes that game but #$%& Quest 64. Though to be honest I was not impressed with the system as a whole and was disappointed with the "ejection" of my two favorite companies at that time. Capcom (no Megaman WTF?!) and Square Soft from the Nintendo line up.

In comes the PlayStation. I had moved away from my home town mid-high school and I went back for a weekend a year later. There I meet up with a good friend who let me borrow his PlayStation for a night. He gave me Resident Evil and Megaman 8 (Woohoo!) to play. Both were beaten by daybreak. Later after hearing the new Final Fantasy was going to be released on PlayStation the deal was sealed. I saved money from my part time job for well over two months to buy a PlayStation, two memory cards, an extra controller, and three games all at once. My choices were Wild Arms, Vandal Hearts, and Suikoden. The funny thing was Suikoden looked like rubbish from the graphics on the back cover but it became my favorite with the best looking game Wild Arms being my least favorite of the three. I played a lot of games on my PlayStation of all different genres but always it will be the system that saved RPGs in my little world. That is my PlayStation memory.

My favorite Playstation memory is playing Tekken 3 with my buddy micheal. I just started collecting video games at the time (first year of middle school). Micheal and me would hang out every day (sadly he lives next door and I haven't seen him in a year), when he would come to my house we would play stuff like Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Gauntlet, Super Mario Bros 3, ect but He had a Playstation and the game we would play the most was Tekken 3. We played that game more than any other game. I can still say that I have played tekken 3 more than any other one game.

Tekken really just sums up those days for me, and reminds me of staying up all night on weekends with my friend trying to beat every single part of the game and playing against each other.

My favorite play station memory

It would be around 1999 I believe . I got the play station one system for Christmas. My parents got me MLB baseball, and Mega Man 8, Mega Man X4 and Mega Man Legends. Oh I had fun playing those games.

I didn't play the Playstation but I played the Playstation 2 when I was really young. I always loved playing Wild Arms 3 and Dark Cloud. I also watched my grandma play PS2 games when I was younger and when she was active enough to play them.

I got my first playstation in 1998 but didn't get any cool games until late 1998.

My playstation memories would be playing Resident Evil 2 and 3, Tomb Raider 1-3, Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve 1-2, Fear Effect 1-2, Syphon Fitler 1-3  and later on Metal Gear Solid. All these games were amazing for me and give me good memories.

Playstation 2 memories: GTA3, GTA Vice City, GTA Liberty City and Vice City stories along with Time-splitter 1-3.

Playstation 3: I would say on Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and The Walking Dead Telltale Series is the only games that I have good memories of.
