I couldn't think of a better title but the title really does explain it well.

This new feature will allow you to quickly and easily look up the prices of games and add them to your collection. You can find it here:

I've spent a few days working on this feature alone so please take the time to read about how cool of a feature this is.


Game Name search:
This of course allows you to search for a game. When you start typing, it'll start recommending games based on what you're search for instantly. If you specify a system to the left, it'll only display games for that system. If you type in a game wrong, there's a good chance the script will figure out what you were searching for and add the proper game. If you want to see an example of what I mean, type in 'VII Fantasy' and you'll get 'Final Fantasy VII'.

After you do a search and have added a game, the search box will be highlighted automatically so you don't have to even use your mouse to add games, you can simply search for games and press enter, allowing you to add many games very quickly.

System Search:
You can click a system from the left and click 'Change System' to search by a specific system. If you want to go back to searching for all systems, simply click 'All Systems'.


Completeness & Condition:
When searching for a game to add, you can specify Completeness and Condition. If you don't pick one, Completeness will default to Loose and Condition will be based on the average condition. If you pick one of these, the next search will automatically have the previous Completeness and Condition selected for quicker adds.


Update List:
This will allow you to update your list if you changed the Completeness or Condition of a game that you added to your list.


Remove Game:
The X to the very right of each game allows you to remove that listing.


Total and Value:
This of course displays the total number of games in the list as well as the total value.


Add Games to Collection:
This will add all of the games in your current list to your Game Collection.


Since this page doesn't let you add any other details to the games in your collection, you'll want to be sure to go to your game collection page to add additional details to your games, such as if you want to play the game online, if you're willing to sell it, etc.

Good feature, I was actually going to suggest something really similar lol.

This whole Price Guide/Collection section really is coming along nicely, I am impressed.

Any specific direction to the whole "For Sale" thing? I like the idea of having an actual marketplace type deal on here.

And is there any plans for a "Game Progress" section? (Shows whether a game has been beaten or not, achievement/trophy progress, and number of playthroughs done)

alexanyways : If you go to a game page, you can see all of the users who own that game and if the user is willing to sell it, it'll let you know. That and a user's profile are basically the only use that feature has currently. If a user wants to make a thread letting users know that they have games for sale in their profile, they can do that. Eventually when I make the wish list feature, I'll make it so that it notifies users who own games (and have it for sale) that others have added to their wish list (the trade and borrow feature will work similar to this as well).

I do plan to do some sort of game progression. I'm going to try and make a script that automatically retrieves a users Achievements and Trophies. I'll also eventually make it so that a user can specify if they've beaten a game or not and maybe other details as well such as hours invested into the game, completion percentage, etc.

Really love it. I can just do all the fiddly bits later and add a mass of games all at once! Although, it would be awesome if the link to this Game Adder was on the game collection page. That would save me having to bookmark the page for future use (or this thread, which ever I remember doing first.)

Darkpower508 : The whole feature is in beta right now but once I feel like the Price Guide features are ready for an official launch, I'll be placing a link to it next to the 'Video Game Room' link (and I'll also be sending a newsletter about it).

I've updated this feature so that you can also specify whether you're willing to trade, borrow, sell the game and if you're willing to play the game online.
