I was trying to figure out why so mant planets in the Star Fox Universe
are able to support life, while only recieving light from one star. Lylat.

So, I was thinking, of ways to solve this issue. And I came across this
idea. 

You remember how Andross destroyed Krystal's home planet before 
Star Fox adventures and how the game hints that he stole the planets energy?
And you;re aware of the Krazoe spirits right?

What if this energy that Andross may have stolen is a  type of "life force"
that generates from a planets core, creating heat, and life no matter how far away a
planet is from the Lylat star? Plus, maybe certain planets have something like the Kroazoe
spirits supporting them as well.

For something like this, maybe. But I don't know a lot about space and planets and stuff like that, so I'll let Zero have the floor on this one.

Alrighty, so let me see if I can slam dunk this bad boy. Now you acknowledge that Lylat is the main Sun star. Which is good. But let me throw this curveball at you. Lylat is a very very bright star and a very warm one at that but in the old japanese manual for Star Fox, the system is medium size. That however has drastically changed as the games went on. So let me bring this to your attention because one planet, isn't really a planet.

Solar, a good sized star this sits right there in the center of the Lylat System. Solar isn't a planet at all: its a second Sun. I can't discount the Life Force idea entirely because planets and creatures all have a life force, an energy, an array of mixed particles, atoms, matter. But to clearly answer this, Lylat is a dual sun system. Because of this, the other planets in the system have heat and light. Fichina is a special case do to the planet makeup and its atmosphere but not particularly sure of how far it is from Solar. 

A system as apparently big as Lylat could never ever survive with one sun, that is fictionally and non-fictionally possible unless the sun was practically almost the entire system to a degree but even then, that could just destroy everything as far as Space itself goes. Solar is just big enough to provide heat and light to is respective planets and of course each planet has its own heat due to its lava iron core and all that with science.

of the Lylat, AND the Intersceptor system.

Planets that orbit Lylat (mostly)

1st planet. . . . . Fourtuna

4th . . . . . . . . . . Corneria

5th. . . . . . . . . . .Katina

6th. . . . . . . . . . . Dinosuar planet (if I make it cannon to the RPG)
