Came up on this question just a few minutes ago.

This is quite interesting for me. I would say yes I would, because I guarantee there are people out there who died without accomplishing something they truly wanted to do. I would willingly give up a year of my life to fulfill that person's wishes and give them some peace when they are finally at rest. I would be giving up a lot, because I could learn a lot in one year, maybe do something good in my life, or in other people's lives, get a job, get into college, those sorts of things. (I am in high school...not getting into college yet lol. Job, maybe. Small one, maybe).

But in the end, I guess those few hours can really mean a LOT to that person...probably much more than what a year means to me.

What about family/people you know vs complete strangers? Would this impact your decision in anyway?

Sidewinder : Um, no. Those people would probably just not care and then they would be dead again. They would be too weak to keep living.

Well if I had to give up a whole year just for a few hours, no. If I could give a year for a year, then yes. It doesn't make sense to give an entire year for just a few hours.

Sidewinder : It would also depend on what that person would use those hours for. First, I doubt that much can be done over the course of just a couple of hours. Also, you never truly know whether those final hours will be used for good or bad, the way people think changes if they know that they are going to die.

If they were my family, then I would resurrect them, to see them again, even if it was just for a few hours.

Depends. Maybe if they were someone I wanted to see or if they or their family wanted to pay me a enormous amount of money for it.

Yes for sure.  I would give up a year to bring back Amelia Erhard so I could as her what happened.  Bring back Hitler so I could beat the crap outta him for a couple hours.  Better yet let people form a line and charge a couple bucks each to take a crack at him.  Then a year so I could bring back an Apostle and get to know him.  Van Gogh is a good one too.

Yes, I would give one or more years for my family members because my friends aren't real ones...

But I would donate one year for my cat "Kitty" and for my dog "Rex"as well! They were my favorite pets who died because of the time except Rex who was killed by a car (f*** that driver)!

A few hours doesn't seem quite fair for a whole year of my life, so I probably would not. It would also depend on who it was, if it were family, then yes. Or if that person actually had something very important to fulfill in the final hours of their life, then maybe. But unless those were the cases then I would not.

I would give up a year from my life for family (mother or grandmother). Never knew my mother and i would ask a lot of questions!
But for a random stranger? No, that's a bridge too far for me.

So my decision would be a selfish decision. On the other hand, i would be giving up a year of my life. That sounds about fair!

As selfish as it is... I would say in general, no.

From an objective point of view, it would be a "waste of life", 1h for 1 year. There are some people I hold very dear that I would continue doing it until we died at the same time... but even it's have to predict exactly what I would do.
