Okay so today I will be making a walkthrough based off of one of my favorite games series, the Y's chronicles. I will do my best to walk you through this game step by step and try to make it as easy to understand and also enable you to do well and succeed in this game. So on to the guide!

The beginning:
So you start off with 1,000 dollars, I would go and get a short sword since it is affordable and is better than going with nothing.

Now be sure to equip all of the items you buy later on by pausing the game and then going to the equip option, you should see all of your armor and weapons there and equip them accordingly.

Getting the Gold Pedestal:

Leave Minea and then enter the field, Kill some of the creatures there to gain some EXP and gold, so you can become more experienced. You should then cross a bridge and then enter to another field. At the bottom of the field, you should see a lake, go to the right side of the lake and try to walk on the indentation. When you position him correctly, Aron should obtain the gold pedestal.

Getting Sapphire ring:

Return back to Minea and then go to the village market and sell the pedestal for $2,000. Then buy the sapphire ring for $1,000 and take it to Donis in the Ohman bar and you should get 1,500 dollars as a rewarded since he has been searching for the ring and you returned it to him.

The crystal:
So with all of the gold you have just received, go purchase a shield and some armor at the weapons and armor shop. Once fully armed, go visit Sara in the seer's house and she will give you the crystal.

The temple key:

With the crystal now in your possession, head east for Zepik. Go to Jebba's house and she will give you the temple key.
In this game it is very important that you tlk to everybody in this game so treat it like a pokemon game, everybody is important, they can hold valuable information that could help you, and also items that will help you progress along the way.

Now then, back to the guide.
Talk to the villagers and visit all of the buildings. Then exit Zepik and try to reach level 5 before returning back to Zepik. Now exit Zepik and head north- east to the path and follow it to get to the palace. Just as a heads up the enemies here are a lot stronger, so be sure to upgrade your armor as gold is gained. In addition, always carry a wing so that you can travel back to Mine faster. Now enter the palace and approach the golden statue to the far right. If you have the temple key in you possession, you can gain access to the inner regions of the palace by touching the gold statues.

Getting the Ruby/ Ankharat:

On the far left side of the first floor is a chest containing the ruby. You should see a green door, enter the door and touch the wall. Ankharat will then appear, to defeat Ankharat, stay on the top of the screen and run and touch him when he appears and then return to your original position. Repeat until he is gone. Once he is defeated, a hole should open up in the wall which will give you access to the upper regions of the palace. In the upper right hand corner of the second floor, are stairs that lead to the 3rd floor.
Note: okay guys is boss isn't really hard, it is e pillars of fire at trip you up, but if u trained and have enough HP, you can beat him fairly easy. This is your first boss and he is not hard so don't sweat it.

Getting the Necklace Key / prison key/chest key:
Okay, so a chest containing the necklace can be found in the upper right hand corner of the 3rd floor. At the top of the third floor contains the keys to the prison (with this, you can open 3 prisons at the top of the second floor now) At the bottom left corner is a chest containing the key to chest, which you can use to open all of the other chests on the other floors.

Getting Potion/Mask/ Silver Bell /Feena:

Once you have the key to chests, you should return to the second floor and open all of the chests that you find. You should find a chest with a potion in one, and the mask in the other. Then make your way to the prison cells which are in the top center of this floor. Enter the left cell and you should find a chest with the silver bell, in the middle one, you will be able to talk to and rescue Feena.

Getting Ring Mail:

Return to the very first floor and open the locked chest with the key and you find the ring mail.

Getting the Power Ring:

Take the silver bell up to the mayor of Zepik and he will give you the power ring. After you get it, go into the mines in the northern part of the second field. I would suggest being level 7 or higher by this point because the enemies are yet again, more powerful.
Note: The up stairs in the mines are purple and the down stairs ones are yellow

Getting Potion/ Silver Armor/ Timer Ring:

In the upper left corner there are 2 chests, one which contains a potion and the other contains the silver armor. On the lower left side is a chest containing the timer ring. Go up to the next floor once you are finished.

Getting the Roda seed/ harmonica/ Heal ring

Okay, so from the entrance of the second floor, go directly left and you should find a chest that contains the Roda tree seed. Further to the left is a chest containing the harmonica. In the chest in the lower right hand corner, there is the heal ring.

Obtaining the silver sword:

Okay so to get the silver sword, once you have the roda seed in your possession, exit the mine and head west to a large triangle shaped tree. Stand at the foot of the tree and you will talk to it. Then you want to proceed south to find the other Roda tree, stand at the base of it and you will receive the silver sword. Now this part is a little difficult but do not give up, I had a lot of trouble finding the brother tree but at least u can narrow it down because you know that it is south of the first one. So take your time. this is easy, don't stress over this part.

Return back to Minea and return the harmonica to the poetess Reah and then return to the palace.

Getting the ivory key:

From the third floor, move to the upper left corner. There you will find the stairs to the fourth floor. From the entrance of the 4th floor, make your way to the lower left corner and you will find a chest with the ivory key. In the top center part of the 4th floor, there will be stairs that lead to the 5th floor.

Getting the Marble Key/ Silver Shield/ Mask of Eyes/ Wyrm/ Book of Ys

Okay, so there are two chests on the fifth floor, one of them is located in the upper right hand corner and the other is in the bottom, towards the left. These 2 chests contain the marble key and the silver shield. Find a blue statue and then put on the mask of eyes by equipping it in the pause menu. A secret door will be revealed that you could not see before. The room you will enter will have several broken and whole pillars in it. Continue on to the left and you will find a green door. Enter it and then touch the chest and touch the wall. You will find Wyrm there and you will have to defeat him by stabbing him repeatedly. After he has been defeated, you will be able to open the chest and get the first book of Ys.

Note Take off the mask of eyes after locating the green door because you will not be able to un equip it once you are in the room and the boss has appears. You won't be able to see it with the mask on, so be sure to take it off before you fight wyrm.

Book of Ys:

Return to the seer's house in Minea. You will find out that Sara is dead and then you will be given the second book of Ys. You should then take them to Jebba's house in Zepik and have her read them to you.

Key to doomed/ Potion/ Birdo/ Book of Ys

Return to the mine, at the top center of the second level are stairs that lead to the third level. Once on the third level, proceed to the upper right corner and you will then find a chest containing the key to doomed. Proceed to the left side of this level and you will find a chest which contains a potion. Go south of there and you will find a blue door, enter the door, touch the chest and then the wall, you will then fight Vaguillon/ birdo. To defeat it, you should wait for the bats to make the complete form and then stab it. My technique is running clockwise and staying a few paces in front of him and I stop every few steps so I am not too far ahead when he makes the transformation, then I stab him. If it looks to late to stab him then don't do it because you will take damage, do this repeatedly. Note that every time you successfully damage him, he will transform more frequently but it also becomes easier to do more damage to him as well. Now it does not benefit you if you if you are our running him, you have to have a certain technique so that you avoid losing health to the smaller bats chasing you but you need to be able to pace yourself so that you can be close by and be able to do more damage to him once he transforms. Go clockwise and then stay a few steps a he ahead of him and an I usually stop on the last one. I equipped e timer ring and he wasn't nearly as fast as normal, granted it is an unfair fight on your behalf, but if you have a good technique set then you should defeat him with a few tries. The absolute worse thing you can do is stand there and do nothing but take damage. Pace yourself and have a technique set to defeat him. If you miss a transformation it isn't the end of the world. Just keep running and don't Let the swarm of bats damage you.

There are a few rings you can test out to make this fight easier because he is kind of tough and it will take a few tries. Try the power ring to get a little more damage in teach time you hit him, or you can try the timer ring to slow him down a bit giving you more time to hit him since he is pretty fast. I defeated him using this one, but you can do whatever you want. Once he is defeated (it may take a few tries, be patient) you will be able to open the chest and get the 3rd book of Ys. After getting it, go back to Zepik and have Jebba read it to you.

Tower of the doomed:

If you have the 3 books and all of the keys and all the silver armor and stuff, and you have saved princess Feena, you will be able to enter the tower of the doomed.

To get to the tower, go to the thieves den which is to the east of the palace, enter, and then Goban will let you enter the tower.

Notes: Save the game before you enter, because you will not be able to leave the tower once you have entered!

You should also make a map of the place because you will need to be familiar with the place later on, so it is a good idea to get acquainted.

Evil Ring/ Potion/ Mirror:

Look for a room with 4 chests, one of them has the evil ring (do not put it on because it will drain your health fast, killing you) Another chest has a potion and last one has a mirror. The last chest is empty.

The prison/ Rauba/ Blue Necklace:

Continue on and you will find a room with 3 stone statues at the end, when you enter and go in between the statues, the screen will flash and bars will drop down on the prison door and you will lose all of your silver items. You are in the prison. Walk to the person on the left and talk to him. Then touch the prison door and a hole will appear. Talk to the thief and you will get the statues for Rauba. Exit the prison by going trough the hole in the wall and then go to Rauba. Look for the long hallway consecutively lined with statues, put on the mask of eyes and you will see a door. Enter and talk to Rauba after taking the mask off. He will give you the blue necklace after talking to him and go back to the room where you were robbed of your silver items. Before entering though, equip the blue necklace and the evil ring, with these items equipped, you will gain access to the upper regions of the tower.

Silver Sword/ Dogi:

On the 7th floor, there is a chest containing the silver sword. Then go to the right and proceed to the stairs leading to the 8th level.

Insecta Hammer/ Book of Ys:

Take the stairs to the left side of the 8th floor and you will find a green door, enter it and Insecta will immediately appear. To defeat her, use this as a hint, she will only throw boomerangs at once, so once she has thrown all 3, go up to her and stab her a few times and then move back. Repeat this process until she is defeated. You can then open the 2 chests there and one contains the hammer ad the other one contains the 4th book of Ys.

Re obtaining the Silver shield:

Proceed to the stairs at the top center to floor nine. In the middle of the 9th floor is a room surrounded by 4 stone statues, when you enter the room and touch the chest, you will receive the silver shield again. The statues will also come to life, now would be a good time to use the mirror to freeze them. Once they are frozen, leave the room, on the right side of the 9th floor are stairs that lead to the 10th floor. The tenth floor ha to sets of stairs, the ones on the right lead to the 11th floor, when you enter that level, your health meter will steadily drop, run to the first room on the right and enter it. Talk to the man there and then exit. Go back to the left stairs where you came in. When you walk out on the ledge, go five pillars to the right and equip the hammer and break the pillar which will make the poisonous room harmless. Before going back to that room, go to the right and enter he next door and there you will find Luther Jemma.

Note: Remember where Luther Jemma is because you will need to come back to him later on.

Return to the poisonous room and continue to the right, past the room you previously entered and enter the door you come to. Take the stairs to the left that lead to the 13th floor. Go to the left and talk to the old man., then take the stairs to the right to the 14th floor.

I-ball/ Rod/ Book of Y's:

Enter the room with the green door on the fourteenth floor and touch it. I-ball will then appear, after you destroy it, enter the room behind the green door and open the chests that are present. One will have the Rod and the other will contain the 5th book of Y's.

Silver armor/ first mirror maze:

Return to the man on the 13th floor, then proceed down to the mirror, when you touch the mirror with the rod you will be transported through different locations throughout the area. Follow the mirrors and doorways and you will fins a chest containing the silver armor. To get out of this room, look for a room with mirrors side by side, touch the one on the right and you will be transported to a room with one mirror in front of you. Touch it and you will be able to find the stairs that lead out of this maze.

Battle shield:

Take all sets of stairs until you reach the fifteenth floor, on this floor, you will find the battle shield. After finding the shield, exit the room and go all the way to the left. Take the hallway up and go all the way to the right door. Go through it to get to the 16th level.

Tower of Rado/ Monocle:

On the 16th floor is the crossway to the tower of Rado. Enter the tower and go all the way to the left and find the green door. Equip your blue necklace and the evil ring and then enter. This is where you will find Reah the poetess. She will give you the monocle.

After you have it, read the books you have collected in the tower.

The amulet:

After reading the books, go back to Luther Jemma on the 11th floor and he will give you the amulet.

Potion:

Proceed up the stairs with Luther Jemma to the 15th floor. Take the stairs to the far left to go to the 17th floor. In the middle of the 17th floor is a chest with a potion. From there continue to the left to the stairs that lead to the 18th floor.

Battle Armor:

The 18th floor has two sets of stairs, take the ones to the right to go to the 19th floor. The nineteenth floor is a room guarded by 2 stone statues. Enter the room and find a chest surrounded by 4 stone statues. Equip the blue necklace and the evil ring and then touch the chest and you should receive the battle armor. Return to the 18th floor and take the stairs to the left to proceed to the 20th floor.

Flame sword:

Go left through the 20th floor. A hole will appear in the wall, go through it and you will see a chest with 2 guards. They are tough to beat so I would try experimenting with different rings and taking them on one by one. Once they are defeated, then open the chest and you will receive the flame sword. From the hole in the wall, make your way to the left and proceed to the 21st floor.

It is another mirror maze, so when you find three doorways, take the middle one. Follow the middle passage until you see two mirrors next to each other. Take the one to the right and follow the passage to the right. The stairs will be found at the end of the passageway.

Heady:
The 22nd floor is also filled with mirrors, touch them and come to a green door. This is where you will meet heady, to beat him, run up to the white face. When the heads are close together, run back and forth between the faces. Try to stand on top of them because you won't get hurt there. With a little practice, you will be able to avoid the fireballs also. You will know he is losing power because the fireballs above his head will disappear one by one as his life meter gets lower. Once heady is defeated, head to the left and go up all the flights of stairs to a green door. If you have the amulet, you will be able to enter.

Dulk Dekt/ Book of Y's:

Enter the room and equip all of the silver items. Walk up and touch Dark dekt, once you do this the platform will take off and start flying around space. Chase him around the platform, constantly keeping your sword stuck in him, while avoiding he fireballs. Every time you touch him, a panel on the floor will disappear. Eventually he will die. Once he is dead, you will get the 6th book of Y's.

Other strategies for dark dekt:

Try to hit him while he is at the edge of floor so you can still move about freely in the middle of the floor. He takes a lot of hits so don't find yourself in a corner.

Note: Don't be tempted to use the flame sword, I tried it and even though it is technically stronger than the silver one, your strength is greater with the silver sword even though your strength attribute goes down.

Well that is then end of my longest post ever and my best walkthrough ever. Finally a post over 3,000 words long! So what did you think, did you find it useful, all comments and feedback are greatly appreciated, thanks! I hope you enjoyed it! So I hope u can find is as useful and helpful for you to use in the future!

Barathemos : yes actually I did it specifically for the tdv and I was aiming for red jersey and I got it! I tried to make it as long, detailed and helpful as possible and this is my biggest post so far, it is nearly 4,000 words and I think that is pretty impressive for a walkthrough at least by my standards. Anyway, thanks for the reply and I hope that a lot of people will find this to be very helpful and it will help make the game easier to follow and understand.

I plan to make more guides like this for a couple of games in an attempt to score points for yellow and red jersey! So don't be shocked it for see some more 2000-3000 word guides from me again, it is for the TDV!
