According to this Arwingpedia article, he was originally a monkey.
But I not sure if he is still a monkey or not.

Did he somehow make a giant brain and put his consciousness
into it?

It the Star Fox RPG, I'be decided that he is a monkey that is just driving
a ship that looks like his face for show. And underneath that mechanical face
there is the brain which houses the cockpit.

I decided that Venom must of had primitive monkeys living on it or something.
and When they saw Andross's abilities that he had gained from special science
experiments performed on himself, they declared that he was the reincarnation of
the God of Venom. (Adross claims to be a god in Star Fox Adventures right)

So, Andross learned to combine science and magic at the temples on Venom.

Combining the two created the wierdt, 1980s ideas of creepypasta high tech stuff
for a Nintendo game, and made Andross a dire threat to the Lylatt system.

Your thoughts?

That's something I could accept. I always figured Andross, after his banishment, had little hidden bases across Lylat to perform any experiments when needed. And because he is a scientist that goes beyond safety precautions had something setup when he knew his banishment would come. He probably preformed an experiment on himself which made him into what we know now, somehow giving him power beyond imagination.

And I always figured that despite how Venom looked it may have been the monkey population homeworld. So once Andross came back and ascended into the power that he has they followed him because of that or because of a "God" idea. But yours has more to it than my idea so I guess yours is the better end to believe.

zerothesaint :

Not a bad theory.

Do you think that he's giant brain now?
That is my main question.
I think that it's just a ship that he's driving.
He was a cube in the SNES game, which is. . . weird. . .

Nintendo likes creeping little children out huh?

I would like to think he's a brain by now. With Star From SNES that is the time I think he had the whole inside ship deal going on. hence that cube. With that said he more than likely survived and preformed said experiment and became what we saw in 64, if you took the hard route that is.

But there is a possibility it is all a ship..but then we may need an explanation as to why he's "revived" in Star Fox Adventures. That's where i'm coming from at least. So that's the stumping point I suppose.

The only problem I have with the brain-for-a-ship idea is that Fox kinda blew it up in 64, and it showed up again in Adventures as the final boss after his claimed resurrection by the hands of the Krazoa. I don't think he would have enough tech on Sauria (Dinosaur Planet as it was known then) to be able to make a second fully functional ship. In fact, the only reason why there are fuel cells there is because ROB failed to drop them correctly, though that doesn't explain why you can get an infinite amount from the shopkeeper there. Maybe he found a way to make fuel cells from the one he snagged?
