Davideo7 : How does the coding work for the URLs. Is the code searching Ebay for completed transactions with the name of the game by default, and that is why we need people regulating it? That would explain why Duck Tales has the Ps3 remaster mixed in with the NES version.

When you say "prduct page" are you saying the search field URL for sold listings? And finally, does your code search the listings manually or is that part of the content adder position?

Davideo7 : This sounds like a pretty great idea and I would like to try out of being an eBay Monitor.
I am a Trusted Member, and I'm 20 years old so those two are already taken care of, also, I can be able to put a lot of time into this each and every month, mostly because I am pretty much on the computer more than anything else, and I can be pretty active on things that needs to be done and get them all done.

Davideo7 : I could do either one.  I am frequently connected to a computer on Monday-Saturday, and could easily devote the time necessary each day.  I am on Vizzed at least 3 times a day, as well.  I would excel most as a content adder, I would say.  Browsing for things is something I'm particularly good at.

Davideo7 : Hi David,  I might as well throw my hat into the ring here too   I would love either position, but would prefer the Ebay Monitor job.  I'm a Trusted member, 31-years-old, college-educated, and from Wisconsin as well!  It's the best place to live in the world!!  In the summer I sold you lots of games (packed the boxes)!  I also placed 2nd in the August CP Contest, adding lots of reviews and screenshots to Vizzed.  I LOVE this website and would appreciate the chance to help out in any way I can!  Thanks!

Well yeah, I guess you know already who I'm but I still introduce myself: I am TornadoMudkip, 13 years old and a female Trusted Member for a long time with 16 TPs and currently 2695.6 CP.
I helped a lot people and did a lot for Vizzed until now. I've written Reviews, Walktrough's, I upload Screenshots even for the new games.
And I never must forget, I am pretty good with coding stuff. You can see that in my Layout Shop. People often call me the Layout Master. < I totally love it! ~ I'm also a Moderator for the Starfox and Cavestory Forum, and later I become a Mod for a new Forum.

I'm interested in both Staff jobs. I can't really decide. I actually don't mind to be a Ebay Monitor or Content Adder. I think it's the best if I'm chosen that you choose the best job out for me. (The one that fits the most for me.)
I'm really active on my PC. When I am on my PC, I love to be on Vizzed. So don't worry, I'll be active enough.

I always love to help Vizzed with adding things and deleting things but I guess more think the same, so think carefully about who gets picked or not!

Unfortunately I only have been here for a few months, so a position would seem out of the question.

I did start adding my games to my collection and I noticed some games come up with a $0.00 value.

vanelan : I believe that's because not every game is linked to a price guide (I think it's ebay...?). In time, it will get there. My games aren't priced either.

Really love the system, just finished adding all my games (although I have a couple of 3DS games I would like to add just seeing they have just been added to the VGR). However, it's a little annoying when I add a game to my collection, and then I am not redirected back to the VGR afterwards. Gotta press back a couple of times to add more games. Also couldn't find Super Mario Bros & Duck Hunt combo cart in the VGR. But adding games are pretty easy, the interface is simple and really quick to fill out. Kudos! Glad it's not time consuming, or I would have been here till 2 AM my time ^^"

Really looking forward to what happens to this feature in the future :3

   I know that in comparison to the others I don't stand a chance, but I'd still like to volunteer for either of the jobs. I've been here for over a year or so, and am 14. I typically visit the site a few times a day, mostly in the game room (posting is scary.) I'm sure that at the very least, I can contribute 1-3 hours daily, or more if there is a lot to be done. I guess that all there is to say now is that I hope you consider me, and I just really want a way to help out around the site and all that.

mrfe : I did notice something strange. If it links to vg price guide, it has some very specific terms for search on some games.

For example, Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! has to be searched specifically as "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out" otherwise there are no results.

I also summoned you, Dave so you are aware of this issue.

vanelan : Yeah not every game is linked to an ebay product page yet, which is one of the reasons I need some helpers to help get that content added. I might be willing to hire you based on how much you've already contributed to the site but it all depends on how much you're willing to invest into helping out the site each month.

The script I made basically requires a product page for each game because it alters that product page to show only sold completed listings and than takes the prices and data from those listings and does this once a day for each game. So here's what the ebay product page for Mike Tyson's Punch Out would look like:

I just added that product page to the game so it'll take up to 24 hours for the prices to get added for that game. Eventually we'll have the product pages added for every game.

Darkpower508 : We are missing some games and various editions of some games as well. As time goes on, and with the help of the staff and members, we'll have a very thorough Price Guide. I also plan to make the task of adding games a little faster eventually.

Davideo7 : I'd be more than happy to help. I should be able to do at least 20 hours a month.

Some very handy updates to this feature:

Profile Collection Updates:
-Games are now organized by game system
-Your collection now displays not only displays total value and game count but also the total value and game count of each system
-If user has added gamertag to their profile (just added) and if they've also selected 'Play Online' for a game, it'll show their gamertag in the 'Play Online' column

Game Submission and Edit Updates:
-Condition area only appears if you selected Loose or Complete
-VGA Grade area only appears if you selected New
-Added 'Digital' if your game was a digital download
-Completeness area has been moved to the left and Condition to the right
-The 'Play Online' area only appears if the game system supports online play
-When you Edit or Remove a game, you get redirected to your profile
-When you Add a game, you can click to be redirected to profile, game or search
-Ability to add your Nintendo Friend Code to your games (go to edit your profile to add your xbox gamertag or playstation name which will be applied to all your xbox or playstation games)
