I don't think anyone's reviewed this yet. I'll give it a go. I've highlighted the words to make it easier to read, but if that doesn't work, highlight them yourself.

Ratings Scale
10: Perfect. Little-to-no flaws, it's the best it could be.
9: It's awesome, it's great, it's almost the best. Minor flaws keep it from being a 10.
8: It's really high-quality. Not the best, but very, very good.
7: Pretty cool. It's worth noting.
6: It's OK. It's not too good, but not bad either.
5: Dipping a bit from "OK" to lowish-quality.
4: Badish. Not the worst, but notably bad.
3: Very bad. Terrible.
2: Really, really bad. This is so bad it's not even funny. However, it's kept from being a 1 by a few redeeming qualities.
1: Worst it could be. Little-to-no positives.
0: Somehow, it's
so bad that it's worse than worst. Practically broken.

Graphics: 10

Since this is a pirated-original game, I'm rating by the accuracy.

Everything is the exact same. If it's in Super Mario Bros. on the NES, it's there on the TG16 version too. No noticeable differences except for some minor discolorations (specifically: the light green and beige-tan colors, and although most objects use a good-quality brown, Mario seems to use a weird green-tinted color instead and a well-done beige-tan instead of the weird one), which can't be avoided - Not all systems use the same color palette. They're close enough, (the colors,) though, that some people might not even notice.

Conclusion: If you like the original game's graphics, then you'll enjoy the Turbo-Grafx version's.

Sound: 9

Again, rating by accuracy.

All the original sounds are there. Even the effect that causes the music to lose tracks while sound effects are playing is present, and functions in the exact same ways. Notably, however, the BGM (background music) is sped up to the point where it sounds as if you've run out of time. The sound effects are also copied bit by bit. The power down/pipe travel sound seems a bit off, and the power up sound is a bit faster. All of the other sounds just sound higher-pitched.

Conclusion: The sound is a little more than a little bit off, but it's pretty good.

Addictiveness: 8
It's just as addicting as the original game. I'll definitely play it again after getting a game over, and might choose it as a game to play from my profile when I'm bored. For you, it varies on how much you get addicted to the original game.

Conclusion: Your Mileage May Vary, but for me it's an 8.

Story: 7
Not much to be said. It's the same story as the original; A bit simple, but easy to understand, and good enough to serve its purpose. Many games of this era had no story at all, so this was a bit deep for the time, actually. I like how they explain the multiple castles with the idea of "False Bowsers."

Conclusion: Great for the time, but today people might expect just a bit more.

Depth: 10
Just like the original, man, this game has some Froggering depth. Not in the story, mind you, as I just explained, but in the gameplay. 32 levels in all, and each is just packed with secrets and surprises. Warp Zones, hidden 1UPs, Stars, and areas even, and more make it not just a platformer but maybe an exploration game, too. Finding every secret would take a very long time.

Conclusion: Deeper than Dig Dug (see what I did there?), just like the original.

Difficulty: YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) (For me, it's a 7)
Just about as hard as the original, so it varies depending on who you are. Mario runs a bit fast, so it might be a bit more difficult, but not a lot. For me, it's a 7; I can get to 8-2, 8-3, or even 8-4 very easily by way of 1-2 and 4-2's warp zones, but once I'm warped to world 8, it just ramps up since I skipped the regular difficulty curve by warping.

Conclusion: It depends on who you are, but this will generally be a difficult-ish game.

Conclusion: 9.5
This is a well-done clone of SMB. If you loved the original you'll like this. It's a bit off in places, but mostly pretty accurate. Much higher production values than most pirated-original games here on Vizzed. Better than the sum of its parts, literally. (Go back and do the math, I dare you.) Super Mario Bros. for the Turbo Grafx-16/PC Engine is a good game.

Great review but next time you should change your layout. Even with the highlighted text it's hard to read because of the layout background. I will definitely try that clone as soon as I finish typing this. Keep making great game reviews!
