If Fire Emblem were to have a crossover game with any other game franchise, what would it want it to be? Also, what kind of mechanics would it take from that game?

Do you use your Dancers/Bards through the whole game? Do you find it really hard to level them up? 

maguc : I've never been one to use crazy large teams, so this list was actually somewhat challenging to put together after about 7 or 8.

Hector - cuz every team needs a beast-mode axe-swinging lord (FE7)
Nah - Manakete - literally impossible to beat, never even takes damage when I beast mode her (FEA)
Yarne - Taguel - Really great, close to as good as Nah possibly - Married and paired with Nah (FEA)
Lon'qu - Dread Fighter - yes, I used that dread scroll on him. #BEASTMODE (FEA)
Lute - One of my favorite characters in the series, simply because of her character and storyline. 'Course, good stats help (FE8)
Ike - If I didn't put him here, I'd be laughed at lol. Also 'roids or sumtin. (FE POR)
Joshua - Let's face it, he's good (FE8)
Ephraim - I mean, really. He basically took an entire castle on his own. How do you NOT include him? (FE8)
Nino - FE7's equivalent of Lute. I'd say it worked. dat beastmode tho (FE7)
MU (My Unit) - It's me. Not self-centered or anything. Just freakin epic old me, fe-ized! (more than one game)

Probably Awakening. With the replayable DLC, and the special unlockables that come from that, you can literally play until you 100% EVERY UNIT IN THE GAME easily! After that, you still wouldn't be 100% cuz of all the other facets of the game. It's crazy, yo, yet awesome.

legacyme3 : I wouldn't recommend an official game to start you out, actually. Rather, I'd recommend this epic hack: https://www.vizzed.com/play/last-promise-the-(v21)-gba-online-game-boy-advance-73976-game. If you aren't blown away by the storyline, then you're a special breed of human lol.

Razor-987 : Ike would be awesome, but I think I'd say Hector. Honestly, he's about perfect for the game. Hand-Axe as one of his attacks for range, and of course he carries a freakin huge axe everywhere. Total pwnage. His speed might be the only limiter though, as his character type in FE causes him to be a little slower (unless you work to beast him).

patar4097 : Mario! Hmm... possibly something from the side-scrolling genre? I don't know what specifically, but I could see the current FE games being mixed up so the battles are similar in style to Injustice. I don't know how great it'd be, but it could be an interesting twist on the series.

yoshirulez! : Nah, not yet. I wanna learn it tho bro. Probably in a year or so, if all goes as planned.

Eternalflame7 : Yeah, I do. I mainly use them in FE7 specifically, because of an extra sidequest if you get Nils to level 10 or higher in Lyn's quest. After getting him up to level 10, I may as well keep using him lol. I like small teams, so there isn't a lack of room for them on the roster. I don't find them hard to level up, though it is quite tedious. Simply have someone use an action right beside your dancer, have your dancer dance, then end the turn and repeat. Do that for an hour, and you should be good to go.

mrfe : First off, i think you made a mistake. Lute is in Sacred Stones,(FE8) not 7.

Anyways, from your first sentence, you said you don't like large teams.
My question is, would you rather want a couple or just one super powerful character (Like one that can breeze through lunatic mode) or a big-ish team of alright-good characters?

I would choose the latter, since it requires strats which I like in a game. Plus, I (hacked) got a character (Lyn and Eliwood) to have god-like stats and it made the game way too easy. I just stood there at the screen waiting for the opponent's turn to be over, since they couldn't do any damage to them.

maguc : Thanks, I was super tired when I wrote that lol. Got the games mixed up with Lute and Nino. Though, while we're talking Lute, don't forget my boy Ewan. I like him too, lol (he missed the list by just a small amount). Anyway, I'll edit my post to fix the game mixup.

I haven't ever hacked a game, other than using the mine glitch on occasion. That said, I sometimes will work to max a character the legit way. When I do, soloing a map or two with just that character can be fun as it invokes a bit of pride I think watching someone you built from weak to total OP. That said, I would rather have a few good characters over just 1 OP. I generally use about 8 per playthrough, and focus on building them up. Four pairs of two, and I can use that to work together to beat any kind of map. I usually arena-abuse a few others, for the maps where you kinda have to have more than 8 people.

Short version - I prefer to have about 8 good units, rather than just 1 great unit. I've done both tho, without hacking.

Eternalflame7 : I do NOT. Only read the spoiler if you really want a spoiler, lol.

If I use him, it's only as a meat shield. The person you SHOULD focus on using instead is Shon. That kid gets insane OP dude, it's scary. However, another spoiler is required to express caution.


One other thing... You get an extra sidequest if you ONLY use Shon in the very first prologue (Siegfried can't get attacked once).

I really never use pre-evolved units, as ANY non-evolved unit will surpass the pre-evolved unit's max before too long. It's basically wasting EXP, because you won't use the pre-evolved unit again due to the weak stats of the pre-evolved character later on. Good at first, weak later on even if maxed.

My favorite is Siegfried, lol. His storyline is so good, I can't not pick him for this lol. However, I feel like Seth (FE8) or Fredrick (FEA) are other great options. Again, I don't recommend using either for anything other than meat shield though, as the EXP can be better used on other characters.
