For the younger Pokmon fans who loved Pokmon Firered Version, this is the classic old original version that Pokmon Firered version was based off of which is Pokemon Red version released along side Pokemon Blue in the United states along side Pokmon Red, and is believed to be the first Pokmon game ever(this is debatable, depending on if you count Pocket monsters green version). In addiction Pokemon Red version contains all generation one Pokmon( Kanto region Pokemon). In Pokemon Red Version, Mewtwo's cave is accessible as soon as you beat the Elite four, the mew glitch can be preformed in this version, and Moltres is found in Victory Road instead of on Island 2 on Mt Ember in Pokmon Firered version. On a side note the bag has a limit on how many item's it can hold and it doesn't have categories with in the bag so everything is just one list of item's.

The graphics portrayed in Pokemon Red version are rather basic and only moderately detailed. There is no background scenery during Pokmon battle scene's.Pokemon sprites are very detailed when facing them in a battle but when your the trainer who is battling then the pixels on the Pokemon is a little distorted. The color quality is at the bare minimum standard, the towns in the game are different colors but what ever color the town is, everything in that town is that color, buildings and your character, bodies of water, literally everything.

The Sound heard in Pokemon Red Version is excellent. The Pokemon do have there own specific and made just for them Pokemon cries. When Pokmon faint the sounds"cries" they make can be clearly heard. Each town has it's own soundtrack "song" that can be heard nicely and is clean cut quality. Ironically the sound quality is alot better than the graphics quality.

What is the addictiveness of Pokemon Red version you ask?, well there is a couple of factors the cause a low rating in this category. For starters the graphics and colorization are rather poor, the bag can't hold that many item's and once it gets full you either have to drop item's(basically delete them or use them at that time and place). Also the pixel resolution is very poor also, characters in normal perspective out side battles have no depth to them, the are wide body and generally flat characters. What makes up for the these factors is the fact that it is a Pokemon game, the story is still enjoyable and people who like to go back and play every game in a franchise will for sure love this game especially those who wish to play the first Pokemon game to be released ever.(this is debatable, depending on if you count Pocket monsters green version)

The story of Pokemon Red Version starts off like mostly any game in the Pokmon franchise, you are a young 12 year old male(you can only be male in this version) starting off his journey. You awaken in a little town called Pallet town and you get your starting Pokmon from Professor Oak after you blindly walk into a field of grass without a Pokmon. After you head into the next town and get the parcel for the Professor he gives you your Pokedex and you set of on your journey to become a Pokemon master. You will face many challenges on your journey and meet many legendary Pokemon. Your mission and main purpose is to evolve and raise your Pokemon so that way you can take on gym leaders as well as the incredible group of trainers know as the Elite four, while working towards that goal there is a sinister evil organization in the works of Kanto(the region in the game where you are at) that are hell bent on capturing and enslaving Pokemon and using them for evil purposes and it's up to you to defeat the head of this organization. That evil organization known as Team Rocket, there goal is to steal Pokemon and take over all of Kanto.Along your journey you will find there are a ton of legendary Pokemon, like Mewtwo (which his cave is accessible as soon as you beat the elite 4, unlike in Pokemon Firered), the three legendary birds can also be caught in this, Articuno, and Zaptoes are at the same area's they would be found in Pokemon Firered, but Moltres can be found in Victory Road instead of where it is found in Firered. Also on a side note the game is smaller than Firered, there is no island one, two or three.

How much "depth" is in Pokemon Red Version you ask?, well the game doesn't take very long to beat at all.Pokemon Red Version has a moderate amount of activities to do in game, like playing slots for coins in the game corner, or going to the safari zone and capturing Pokemon you wouldn't find in to many other areas in the game(Pokemon like dratini) or fishing in basically any bodies of water, both large and small. The game is at a standard level map proportion wise, there are 10 towns you can go to with plenty of routes in between towns.

How difficult is Pokemon Red Version?, well Pokemon Red Version isn't very difficult at all if your Pokemon team is diverse in type. The levels of the Pokemon even in the elite four are rather low compared to levels in the newer games, a team of level 45's-55 could beat the elite four. Gym battles are easier as well compared to newer game gym battles.Gym leaders Pokemon levels are lower than what you would expect/seen in newer games in the franchise for you newer game Pokemon fans. The games A.I is predictable and can easily be beat.

Overall Pokemon Red Version is a game with relaxed difficulty, moderately acceptable graphics and excellent sound. Although I imagine it's not very appealing as compared to newer games in the franchise, but it is worth the moderate price of Viz it costs to play because its a chance to play the game that started the Pokemon franchise.

Awesome review! You did great writing this. You expressed what you knew about the game and they actually made sense. This was a great review.

I agree on all of your points, considering this was my first Pokémon game. Awesome job.

The limit on the bag was one of the most obnoxious things about this game. I HATED THAT. The game itself truly is a classic. It was one of the things I loved when I found out about vizzed. I could play the classic Pokémon games without spending a ton of money. This game satisfied the nostalgia I really needed. Good job reviewing.

Divine Aurora :
Wow that makes the 2nd great review today! Did you work on this review for a few days and just decide to copy/paste for on here today? Really did enjoy reading this review and definitely keep up the good work! Would love some advice since I have been writing a few reviews now and am definitely planning to make more in the near future for the mass games.

Deadend136 : I wrote up 4 reviews on Microsoft word throughout this week, and due to a English writing prompt (on the first week of school thanks alot English teacher) , I haven't been able to post them on Vizzed due to lack of free time. I plan to post them all today in between the next 2 hours. As for advice on reviewing I recommend you read this thread by Play4fun it is really helpful when it comes to game reviewing-
