1) Melanie C. : I want Candy
2) Pretzel M&Ms!
3) Strawberries
4) Ehh, I am gonna have to say Hershey's bars
5) Since this is "sweets" themed, I am going to say mulberry jelly! I never ever had mulberry, so I am taking a guess that it is sweet, it probably is.
6) Hmm, I am guessing honey.
7) It might be Ice Cream skittles, but I am going to say Tropical!
8) Necco Wafers (I have no idea if this can be classified as candy, but people still give it out on Halloween. It's nasty.)
9) Strawberries
10) Splenda

It's been awhile and I apologize!  What a hectic week I had!!!!!

Okay, so... drumroll!

1. For the past two days, a certain song has powered me through the awful task of grading. This song features a certain sweet.  What is it?
The sweet featured was a lollipop.    At least some of you got this right.. hehe.  The song specifically? Lollipop Girl

2. I have near me, a bag of M&Ms.  They were on sale... 2 for $5.  YES!  What flavor are they? (Second best flavor EVER)
Raspberry. Oh yes.. the sweet, fresh, delectable flavor of.. raspberry!  What DOESN'T taste better with a little raspberry?
Oh, and for those wondering, mint is the best flavor.

3. Carbonated waters?  Sometimes.  This one is a delectable little fruit.  What flavor?
I wish it had been raspberry. Alas, it was Black Cherry!

4.  If I had to get a daily dose of mint, through what candy would I take it?
Oh.. some of you were just SPOT on. GREAT job!!!!  York Peppermint patties FO SHO!

5. My husband got me a very unique flavor of jelly recently.  It smelled very ... interesting... but actually didn't taste bad at all.  Part of the jelly flavor included blueberry, but the other included something much less conventional. Any ideas?
Wow, I was both surprised by some of these answers and curious to know what they would taste like.  LOL  The jelly my husband got though, was actually blueberry lavender.  Yes... LAVENDER.  How.. interesting.  lol

6. My mother very rarely put this on our sandwiches for school lunch.  It would crystallize on the peanut butter before we got the chance to eat it.  What did she dribble in our sandwiches on rare occasion?
Honey does crystallize on bread, but I'm surprised no one actually answered correctly.  My mother.. probably twice in our childhood... would put corn syrup with peanut butter on our sandwiches.  Has anyone else had a corn syrup and pb sandwich before?  I'm now genuinely curious.

7. What's my favorite variety of skittle?  (Not colors... the 'themes', for lack of a better word.)
Oh yes! Some of you actually GOT this!  I recently tried the Riddle Skittles.  And I LOVED them. The funny thing is.. I don't even know why.  Normally with fruit flavored candy, it would drive me NUTS not to know what flavors they were. I'd want to separate my favorites and pushed them aside for last.

8. My mother wasn't a fan of candy and we hardly ever got to have it growing up.  In fact, most of my candy experiences were due to Halloween, which I don't practice anymore.  Name a candy I've never eaten to my recollection.
Well surprisingly, only one person named a candy I've never had: Necco wafers.  Congrats Sidewinder!  I even had to google them to see what they were.  LOL  However, I'm also going to give points for Payday.  Although I've had it before, I think I've only had it ONCE. Maybe twice.

9. Sugars are found in fruit as well. In fact, that's how I prefer to get my sugars.  What berry would I choose to eat if I knew it was the only one I could ever eat during my entire lifetime?
OHHH YES.  Yes. Raspberry.  GREAT job hilacle. Kinda creepy you got that right. haha
HOWEVER, I really, really, really have to give bonus points to Steve for guava, and goodboy for avocado.  First, my FAVORITE energy drink is the Guava Rockstar. ( I know Steve was answering the wrong quiz, but.. )Nobody around here carries it, which makes me want to cry.  And recently, I have definitely been obsessed with avocados. Those things are AMAZING.  Plus, I'm super, duper impressed that you two knew those were berries. Wow!  Little geniuses!

10. Fake sugars?  Ew, but sometimes they're all that's available?  If  I have to make a choice between artificial sweeteners, which would I choose?
Splenda.  Steve, goodboy, and Sidewinder, are you stalking me?  lol

Now I have to come up with a new theme... hmmm.. Oh dear.  Any suggestions?
Maybe flowers?

Woohah, I actually got some right? BOO-YAH! I was really guessing here, since I didn't know much about you and sugar. Haha, my stalker senses are impeccable.

Please don't be flowers. I'm not a gardener.

I stepped too far outside the box and didn't get any right lol :-)

My suggestion is to do a book-based quiz next.  I bet some people on here are book-savvy, despite this being primarily a video game site.

Okay, here's one for the book worms. Thanks for the idea, supernerd! I just hope it doesn't end up being too hard! O.o

1. What was the last book I read something from? (It doesn't have to be title specific.)
2. How many calculus books are on the shelf behind me?
3. What math topic do I have the most books on?
4. When I was a child, one of my favorite book series was about animals that could cook, fight, and speak! What was the name of this series?
5. My husband loves politics. He especially likes to read books by two political figures. Name one of these authors.
6. How many yearbooks have I kept from my high school years?
7. There were a few mystery series I also enjoyed as a young teenager. Name one.
8. I wrote a letter to one children's author and had read almost every one of her books. I actually received a letter back! Who was this famous author, who wrote about a little trouble maker?
9. How many cookbooks do I own?
10. What classic book did I do a report on for my 12th grade AP English class?  Hint: Wishbone also featured this book once.

1.  A cookbook
2.  Three
3.  Trigonometry
4.  Redwaaaaallll!  One of my favorite series growing up.  I could really go for a mushroom swiss pasty right now...
5.  Ron Paul, perhaps?
6.  None :-(
7.  Nancy Drew
8.  Beverly Cleary (or Barbara Park, but I'll stick with the first guess)
9.  Thirty-five :-)
10.  Ivanhoe (I remember Wishbone!  Good show!)

That was fun!  I think it was a good bit easier than the last one.

6. One.
7. The Talented Mr. Ripley
8. ...I'm just going to give up on this one.
9. I'm guessing about 5, mostly healthy stuff.
10. Who's Wishbone? Anyways, it's *looks at one of my books* Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.

1. A math textbook! It would make sense since you are a math teacher.
2. 4
3. Algebra (because it is the most confusing lol)
4. Uhhhh Pass?
5. Better for me not to answer than embarrass myself
6. All of them
7. Um Sherlock Holmes? I know that you weren't a teen when they were first written in 1887 (You would be like 118!), but that doesn't mean you didn't like to read them.
8. The only author I read as a young kid was Dr. Seuss.....
9. 6
10. I'm going to steal supernerd's answer and say Ivanhoe (even though I have no idea what it is)

Hard? Pfft... I ALWAYS do things the hard way!

1. Uncle John's Bathroom Reader?
2. I suppose it depends on the size of the shelf and the number of books on that shelf. Could you rephrase the question in the form of a calculus problem? No? 6. Final answer.
3. You! You're a crafty one. Calculus?
4. Seriously? Are all of these questions going to be about  calculus? Calculus Creatures? LOL (I could cheat off of another student but I won't.)
5. Sarah Palin? Final answer? You betcha!
6. All 3?
7. Nancy Drew? (Favorite book from that series - Nancy Drew and the Case of the Curious Calculus.)
8. Beverly Cleary? (I like The Mouse and the Motorcycle better.)
9.

Is the answer in this mess, somewhere?

What could be more classic than a disfigured dog?
Hard? Pfft... I ALWAYS do things the hard way!

1. Uncle John's Bathroom Reader?

Okay, I guess I've waited long enough to reveal the answers.

1. What was the last book I read something from? (It doesn't have to be title specific.)
Definitely a math book. XD  I probably read something from it every day, just to see what my students are looking at.  I don't actually teach from the book, but I know the students rely heavily on it.  So I like to go through whatever I'm teaching and make sure that I touch on any common mistakes the students might do after reading the textbook.

2. How many calculus books are on the shelf behind me?
Oddly enough, with how much I adore calculus... I actually only have ONE calculus book on the shelf behind me.

3. What math topic do I have the most books on?
Algebra II. I mean... I taught it for five years. XD I have ... probably around 50 books on Algebra II. I can't bring myself to get rid of them, always telling myself I will use them for extra lecture problems.  I never do.

4. When I was a child, one of my favorite book series was about animals that could cook, fight, and speak! What was the name of this series?
Redwall.  Definitely, DEFINITELY Redwall. I think I'd even read them again as an adult. I think they are probably some of the best young adult fiction novels out there.   For those of you who are familiar with them..... That man's descriptions of food?  He is a GENIUS!  He inspired many things about my writing style, and I could see him inspiring people to be chefs. That man must have had a strong affinity for food, but it's because of him that I know what a leek is.

5. My husband loves politics. He especially likes to read books by two political figures. Name one of these authors.
I was surprised at the lack of correct guesses.  Remember, we're VERY conservative people.  As mad as it might make a few people, the most common figures on his book shelf are Bill O'Reilly and Anne Coulter.

6. How many yearbooks have I kept from my high school years?
Just 3.  I don't know why I have them. I hardly look at them and really don't care about the people in them...

7. There were a few mystery series I also enjoyed as a young teenager. Name one.
Hmm.... I loved Boxcart children. XD  I actually never read the other ones mentioned, as odd as that might be.

8. I wrote a letter to one children's author and had read almost every one of her books. I actually received a letter back! Who was this famous author, who wrote about a little trouble maker?
Oh yes, it was little Ramona's creator, Beverly Cleary.  I wonder what I did with that letter.  I think at one point I doubted she actually wrote the letter herself, and so I probably tossed it in disappointment.

9. How many cookbooks do I own?
You guys are funny.  I don't know how to cook, silly people!  I have one cookbook. I don't know where it's at.    But I DO want to learn to cook!

10. What classic book did I do a report on for my 12th grade AP English class?  Hint: Wishbone also featured this book once.
Awww man, I was so sad nobody got this.  It was probably one of the only novels I was ever forced to read that I actually enjoyed.  It was  El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha, or  The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.

New questions will come when someone can give me a topic better than flowers. XD

thephantombrain :  As always, you're a genius, and totally awesome.
dlscowby22 :  Not bad for your first try! I hope to see you participate again!
tgags123 :  For once, you didn't seem to be closely stalking me.  And by the way, I don't know what Ivanhoe is either.  haha
Mistress : Wishbone covering Lolita?  Now how did I miss that episode?  (HA!)
supernerd117 : Yes, yes, and yes!  Please share that pastry, won't you....?  *wipes the drool from her mouth*

Aw I was going down the list on the 3rd page and I wanted to answer about the math stuff and whatnot but then found out I was too late! Maybe you should do one all about math! lol How broad can these topics be exactly? Could you do a sci-fi themed survey? Or maybe one about technology?

dlscowboy22: I liked your idea the best. Never would have considered it.

Theme:  Those Awkward Early Teenage Years  (Yeah, that's just too many letters to change the colors of. XD)

1.  I played an instrument for 6 years, starting in middle school I chose this instrument because I thought it was most closely related to a flute, which my mother wouldn't let me play.  What did I play?  (Please folk.. remember the theme.... and the ages... XD)

2. I hated gym class.  I have the grace of a flopping fish, and thus I always felt entirely too embarrassed to sit in gym class.  The whole torture was made worse because we had two dress out options. Nearly every classmate chose to wear shorts, but my mother who was very conservative, decided her girls would choose option 2.  What embarrassing types of bottoms did we wear for gym class?

3. I always made A's with no studying, but one year I transferred to a school I had to be interviewed to get into.  At that school, the ninth graders had one semester of a certain course, which was continued for the 10th grade year. Since I entered during my tenth grade year, I started flunking for the first time in my life.  What class caused me to fall asleep on my books studying nearly every day that semester?  (I still hate this topic.)

4. I gave my family the laughs of their lives.  I told them something I had heard and believed about my favorite animals: dinosaurs.  What 'fact' did i insist was true?

5.  My hair always looked like a white person's afro. The friz and mess was more than a source of red cheeks for me and probably kept me from making friends.  The problem was that I didn't know my hair was naturally curly, so when I washed it and then brushed it dry, I'd cause it to poof up.  what event helped me realize I had curly hair and forever changed my physical appearance?

6.  I always hated the social gatherings held in cafeterias. Kids would take my lunch or talk to me and I was fairly certain they were always using these conversations as something to make fun of later.  I thus avoided the cafeteria like the plague.  Where would I eat my lunches instead?

7. I was too shy to get involved in much, but I've always had a heart for helping others. What was the first school 'club' I ever joined, back in middle school?

8.  We lived in Oregon for a VERY short time, and it always rained there.  I had a hard enough time making friends.  The school I attended had a disconnected building to eat lunch in, meaning we had to walk under a awning at least twice a day. One day it was raining very badly, and someone thought it would be funny to push me out from under the awning. I slipped and fell, having mud spread ALL along the back of my pants, from ankle to butt.  What did I do to handle the situation?

9. We went bowling for a field trip once.  The bowling center held a really cool 'lights out, music blaring, pins glowing' kind of party for us, and the kids all separated into groups.  Nobody picked me, and after sitting at a table and listening to the music pound into my head, I started bawling. I didn't even like my classmates, but I was embarrassed.  The teacher thought to help, but made it worse.  What did he do?

10. My twin was always getting into trouble for her grades and lack of attention span.  Sometimes, us being twins would get us -both- in trouble.  I remember one time I got in trouble and written up for selling something on the bus. I had been sick the day before, but the bus driver told my twin that we couldn't sell this item on the bus anymore.  He -expected- my twin to tell me, but she didn't, so I sold these items the next day. He wrote me up, knowing that he had spoken to my twin and not me. It was the only time I ever got written up in my teenage years. What items were I trying so badly to sell?
