I started playing the FDS one day and every time I tried to start the game a screen with square tiles would appear and would just freeze. After that I decided to play an arcade game and the same thing would happen with every MAME game. Does anyone know how to fix this?

gamer4life9000 : So this problem happens no matter what system you try to play? Is it the EXACT same problem no matter which system you play? Have you tried a different browser to see if you have the same results?

Also most systems have more than one emulator available to choose from. In instances where more than one is available are you having the same problem with each emulator?

I would also suggest posting a screenshot if possible of your problem. That way I can see what you are talking about. I've never heard of the "square tiles" you are referring to.
