Well, this is interesting. Shows who is pretty committed to the site or not. I have a bad feeling about the competition in the long run, but we'll see.

I've been waiting to get paid for my uploaded videos but it's been weeks and still nothing, only got paid for 1 (Puyo Puyo [GEN]). I don't know if the CP I should earn for those videos will count for this competition since they were uploaded before but I can't fairly participate with problems like this. I've been told that after a certain update took place, we get paid automatically but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I've brought this up several times but no one is getting back to me about it. Please, whenever possible, can someone look into this for me? 

slimzimkin :   You don't get CP or Viz for uploading videos.  You only get CP or Viz for having someone rate your video a 4 or a 5.

Juliet : It depends on if there's a pattern or not. If there's a pattern, than we'd classify it as cheating. An example of a pattern would be if the screenshots being rated were all for the same game, were all for the same user or were all the same rating.

mlb789 : Actually I recently made it so that you do get Viz and CP for uploading videos to the vizzed youtube account and the amount is based on the video length. For some reason though it hasn't been working properly lately.

A "pattern" is pretty vague... So i'm going to rate as many things as I can every two days on different games. If that's against the rules then can someone let me know what I need to do differently.

Davideo7 : How recently did you implement the system? It says that it may take 24 hours to receive CP and Viz, and I haven't received Viz and CP, but none of my videos have been up for 24 hours. What also could be happening is that the screenshots and analytics may not have been put on vizzed yet, as shown here, and that it would be 24 hours after that shows up.
Edit: 7-12-13...It probably isn't any of the above.

Yay me, somehow I won a day. I wasn't even trying to win. I was basically doing a review to express my feelings about a game or two and to try to get my words per post to at least 30. I'm not sure how I beat a staff member since they do have special powers which help them earn more CP.

Isn't that how it was this morning? People had a lot more last time, by that I mean last night.

Sorry about the mistake... I feel like I've been doing a lot of wrong stuff lately. By the way it's fixed now.

I was about to come in third yesterday. tRIUNE had a few more cp than me but I beat him in the last five minutes .
I wish I had more time to I catch up to inoob.

I had a lot of fun yesterday, placed 5th, and felt like I was contributing. I haven't written anything in years and put my heart into the 3 reviews I did. The games I reviewed had to fit certain criteria. After completing those I checked the leader board to find out what else I could do to earn CP. Yes, I took most of those options to their limit but only rated or uploaded if it pointed true on my moral compass. After reading this thread I got a bad feeling, kind of like I had done something taboo.

I just felt like I should explain myself. Please, review my work and this post and give me an honest answer, have I done something wrong or corrupted the purpose of the competition?

Hopefully, I should gain some points today. I mean I have gained like over 130CP today. I can say for sure that if you are not a staff you will need to do a few reviews (2 at least) to get some points. 

thephantombrain : Sadly we can't quote here... the feature has been taken down due to people abusing it to boost up their word counts in the past.

As for users who are cheating the system just to win the competition by making crappy materials for the rgr, those materials are usually moderated by tRIUNE and the other mods assigned in the rgr related forums. Those stuff are removed and the CP's gained from those are revoked.

For the suspicious rating actions such as rate4rate, we could see a list of user actions and the amount of CP's gained from those, so people can still be caught by us through checking that page if they're doing something fishy.

Juliet : Any plans on updating the leader board? I got some points for sure. (I believe I made 2 review threads which got me like 130CP) 

Legs_Ftw : I'm on it. I'll usually do the updates every 6pm ( or 5am for the board) since classes are already done usually by 5pm.
