I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately regarding my significant other and I thought that some of you may be able to provide insight. So, please list the top 3 reasons (or more if you wish) that you love your boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife. The only limitations are that you cannot say "Because he is my boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife" or  "he/she is the father/mother of my child or children". Also, because this is a family friendly site I must ask that no physically intimate reasons be listed. If you are not currently in a relationship you may use a past relationship but please indicate that and say why it ended. Thanks for your help!

I love my wife for many reasons.

1.  She's successful at everything she tries.  She's determined to succeed and her drive to find victory is a wonderful attribute.  I know I can rely on her to do what she says she'll do and I know she'll take care of business as it comes along.  

2.  She cares highly about her fitness.  She exercises regularly, we work out and run together, and she's staying attractive to me because she likes to do fitness-y things.  We hike together, we surfed together, we have similar tastes in activities and things to do and that makes her appeal because she's very active and she challenges my own fitness.

3.  She takes responsibility for her mistakes.  She's quick to apologize and own up for errors and she doesn't hold back or hold out if she knows she wrong.  She may not always think she's wrong but she's more than happy to say she's sorry when she truly is.

4.  She's honest.  She'll tell me when I'm not funny.  She doesn't pander to me or say things to make me feel good.  If I deserve compliments she'll give them.  But she doesn't hand them out just because.

1) She's kind - to me and to others
2) She encourages me to embrace life
3) She helps me to bear my mistakes and start again.

I'm going to do it a little different if that's okay. I will list three reasons to love somebody.

1. They are very nice and caring toward you and others.
2. They are very intelligent and actually make you a smarter person.
3. An unexplainable connection that you don't feel with anyone else.

1. RESPECTFUL--my boyfriend respects me and everything about my life.  He is interested and speaks respectfully about in my job, family, and even my pet.  He opens doors for me and even the car door if we're driving somewhere.  He pays whenever we go out even if I offer to pay.  He's a old-fashion true gentleman in every sense.

2. CARING--He cares enough to ask questions about my day to day life and he remembers little details of things I told him weeks ago.  He remembers the dates that certain things happened in our relationship.  Every text message has smiley faces and exclamation points.  When he talks to me in person he always says how lucky he feels to have me as his girlfriend.  Yet, he does all this without seeming corny or over-the-top.

3. COMFORTABLE--He just plain makes me feel comfortable.  I never have to question how he feels about me (as I've had to in past relationships).  He tells me he will love me forever and I have faith that our relationship will last for years to come.  He also makes me feel comfortable with his sense of humor, conversation, and how we enjoy the same types of activities.  We both would rather watch a movie than go rock climbing, so I never have to worry that he'll ask me to do something out of my comfort zone.  It's like we were meant for each other.

All in all, relationships that seem like they are work aren't worth being in.  People say it all the time--that it feels like another full time job to be in a relationship--I think those people are dating the wrong people then.  I have been in a relationship like that, where I felt like I was doing all the work to make the relationship solid.  My relationship now is easy as a breeze since we just "click" in such a perfect way.  THAT'S how relationships should be
