I'm hopefully getting a this a PS4 this summer (I'm sort of poor but I'm going to have a summer job this). While I was thinking getting the Wii U for some of the exclusives, The features of the gamepad and the cheap price, the games coming out for the Xbox One and the PS4 just changed my mind.

And I'm not going go to get the Xbox One well... I could rant on about it but you probably already know why. Main reason though is because I just think the PS4 is looking better even though I did slightly favor Xbox Consoles in the past mainly because of the games for it being superior for the most.

I'm really looking forward to playing titles like Watch Dogs, Kingdom Hearts 3 (FINALLY!), Final Fantasy 15 and Star Wars Battlefront 3 as well as any other good games that will come out. My only current concern is that they both seem limited on storage for games which they will probably fix in the future but it's still something I really don't like (which wasreally the thing that made me doubt getting it in the first place).

With Smash Bros and other games looking awesome, now I'd rather have a Wii U than a PS4. I will miss KHIII but I feel since PS4 has no games at the moment, it would be a wiser choice.

PlayStation 4. I've been a huge Sony fan since I got my PSX back in 1997 (I think). I think the PSX was the best system of it's time, and I believe every Sony system since then has been superior (though admittedly I haven't played a PS3). And now the PS4? Have you seen the specs? I know the XBox One seems to be more powerful at first glance, but the way the PS4's processor and all that stuff (much of which I don't understand), it's being said that the system's power likely won't be tapped out at generation's end. So in the end, the PS4 is actually a lot more powerful than the XBox One, and has some exclusive hardware you won't get anywhere else. This is all based off of what I've read, so no I obviously haven't torn one apart to see yet, but the PS4 is more or less a glorified gaming computer. lol The other systems won't be able to compare to it, or at least I don't think they will.

But herein lies the beauty of the modern game market: Nintendo doesn't have to compare to or even keep up with the PS4 or XBox One. The WiiU --while utterly ridiculous in many ways-- is a machine every gamer will have to own if they want a full console gaming experience, because only then will you get the kind of games Nintendo puts out.

So I'll almost definitely be getting a PS4 first, then a WiiU. The only thing that makes me think twice about it is the fact that Jordan's post pointed out so well: new consoles almost never meet their potential within a year or two (N64 did though, with SM64), and the games that we're all wowed by will likely be nothing in comparison to the games that will be released on the same systems in 2015. In light of that, I could consider a WiiU, then a PS4. Most likely I'll spring for a PS4 first though.

I will most likely be getting the wii u, I will probably get it over the summer, I almost have enough money for it, I have $240 for it and I am going to try and save the other $60 or so and buy it once school is over and done with, that way I will have enough time to save for the new smash bros. That is the main reason why I would want a wii U to begin with. I am going to see if I can get a job and really save up some much needed money for the things I want. 

As far as next gen consoles go, that will probably be the only one I am really interested in. I have never plated on a PlayStation before, so I don't know what it is like, but I am sure that it is quite the experience, at least going off of what eirinn said XD

After Nintendo's comeback 2015 with the Wii U with Smash Bros, Zelda, Splatoon, etc., I'm going with the Wii U and the 3DS(they connect together even though 3DS isn't exactly new gen) and when a PS4+Vita bundle comes out, I'll try to buy that.

Razor-987 : Check Nintendo's website. They sell refurbished Wii U's for 200. Shipping and everything in, you'd be able to get one now if you wanted.

I plan on doing the same at some point.

I own both the wii u and the ps4. ?The Wii u is the system I'd recommend getting for anyone trying to decide its a big improvement over the original wii and I've had the most fun out of it since the old n64. With that being said the ps4 isn't to bad either graphically speaking it blows the wii u out of the water but most of the games on the ps4 so far have been kinda meh or a ps3 remaster/port other than a select few of them. However I am looking forward to Arkham Knight and a few other ones that are coming out in the future on it, but the wii u also has a pretty impressive future lineup as well 

alexanyways : I got the PS4 and I might get the Wii-U. It sucks that PS4 is not backwards compatible with the other systems, otherwise if PS4 was backwards compatible with the other systems, I would have sold my PS3, but no PS4 is not backwards compatible, so I kept my PS3 and bought a new PS4 for Christmas.

Since my last post on here, I was first thinking of getting a Wii U, but that might be hold off for a little while longer, because I'm planning on getting a PlayStation 4 this Christmas.
Although I have already owned my first 8th Generation system which is the 3DS, but when I get the PS4, it'll be my first 8th generation console.

Well, considering that I already own both a Wii-U AND a PS4 now... That kind of narrows down my options for me.

I will most likely be getting the PS4, just because it seems the better console, but I may be waiting for a while.

ps4 because xbox one is garbage and i'll probaly get a wii u (conidsering i have a 3ds)sometime this chrismas.

Well i already have the wii u. But im a microsoft type of guy so im gonna go with the xbox one. Alot of people are saying its garbage but i have high hopes for the console. Hopefully they will come out with a great update that will fix the problems every one is having with it. 

Right now, none of them. I have always absolutely loved my PS3. I had a profile on the Xbox 360 for a while before I finally stopped PAYING FOR IT! I don't really have any interest in the Wii U. I have the original Wii and that works just fine for me. And I'm not even gonna turn my head to look at the Xbox One.

If anything, I'll probably eventually break down and get the PS4. It won't be any time in the near future, though. My PS3 lives on!

I got an XBOX ONE back on Black Friday. I will eventually get a PS3 and PS4, but I don't know when. Hopefully, if all goes well, I'll have them by the end of next year. 

I got Xbox One on release day. Love it so much. Much better than PS4. I already got Wii U. Its pretty good.

I think I would be getting the Xbox One, instead of the PS4. As cool as the PS4 is, the Xbox will have the Master Chief Collection, which is something I really want! Maybe down the road sometime, I'll get the PS4, but I think right now I would rather have the Xbox...

Honestly, at this point, none of them. I'm currently happy with my Xbox 360 and plus where I had to get the newer black Xbox 360 since my old white one, which I had since 2007 and it lasted me 5 years, had decided to get that 'Red Ring of Death', so I'm actually pretty happy. Although I have respect for both Sony and Nintendo since I had a Play Station 2 and a Nintendo DSi, I still love my Xbox. And where I can't afford a new console at this time, I am making due on what I have.
