The Vizzed Retro Game Room began development in January. The old retro game room has been replaced with the new retro game room as of a week ago.

For the past 6 months now, I've put literally hundreds of hours into the online retro games here on vizzed board. On top of that, many other vizzed board members have helped out a ton. In the past month alone I've put around 150 hours into the game room.

Here is a list of all the new features of the Retro Game Room:
-Search Engine
-New design and layout allowing you to browser thru the games easier and quicker
-Search for games based on system, category, letter and/or name
-More info about each game including genre, developer, players, origin, hack type, what game hack is based on, etc
-A password save page that lets you save your passwords for any game
-Cheat codes and game genie box
-User comments more organized and framed
-Staff members now have ability to update any field for any game
-When you're on the retro game room or on a game page, it shows who else is on that page
-Auto refresh feature shows who's playing what game even if they've been playing it more than 5 minutes (before if you played a game for more than 5 minutes it showed you as offline)
-Can search for games based on multiple variables
-Sort games based on name, date, views and rating
-New Item Shop accessories allow you to make a 1 time purchase of each game system allowing you to play all the games for that system for free without purchasing; laptop item allows for all systems

Other Updates:
-Screenshots and boxart graphics added to almost all the games
-New game systems added
-Tons of new games added (including hacks)
-Game room price drop; all game prices have dropped by 25 - 50%
-Earn Viz for coming to board each day
-Earn Viz for replies made to thread you made
-Earn 10 Viz to rating games that you own

Features to come:
-Users can submit reviews for games
-Graphics for the game system items in itemshop
-Allow users to retrieve screenshots taken with Genesis emulator and NESCafe
-New views added to allow users to sort thru the games with their own layout preference

cool i've noticed that you have put some new stuff i was sooo suprised whaen i logged on to vizzed board and everything is changed!! i really like what you have done with that room and i hope that you rest a little bit because you worked so hard to make this website succsesful and i thanks you for that.=D i hope that this website become one of the best game websites in the world.

This sites offers something that very few websites offer, the ability to play real retro games online (and there's only 2 other sites on the entire internet that offer as much as vizzed board...for now). A lot of flash gaming sites out there but flash games don't compare to the real classics from Sega Genesis, NES, Game Boy Color, etc.

We're the only site on the internet to offer this many online retro games but hundreds of hours went into making that possible.

I came here because I couldn't aford the systems and the games. It was just too much money. But now I can play all the gmaes I want(because I have a laptop!)

I been playing games, but the Game Emulators does not cost anything to play except Viz right???

where can i see the emulators for arcades?

I assume your talking about the Arcade System?
It hasn't been added yet, but I believe Dave plans on putting it up sometime early next year probably.

This is the best Game Site ever, no kidding, I can play SMB 1-3 with hacks without downloads, and when we get SNES Emulator I can play Super Mario All Stars and Super Mario World with hacks without downloads, Super Mario 64 for N64 and DS, New Super Mario Bros for DS and Wii, Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario World, and NES Super Mario Bros 1-3 were great games, and soon, I'll be able to play Super Mario World and All Stars game for FREE!!!

This is the best retro gaming site ever! I found another site tahyt is like this but nohere near as good. You could play the games but not save which got my aggrivated fast. I'd never played Blue version but now that I found it online, I'm hooked! Tons of great games! All the classic games I used to play on my N64 and Gameboy on one site! You rock dude!!

Well on behath of everyone I like to say this is the best site for emulators and a great community to have people help you with.

I've got a question about N64 games. Why are they worth more viz?

Because their file size are massive and it drains a lot of bandwidth on the server (bandwidth costs me money).

Best gaming site by far!!! I was wondering about N64 games maybe being too much, but David seemed to pulled it off. PS1 games are probably way to much bandwith, eh? As soon as the rest of the N64 games work, {I'll be patiant since I realized how hard youve been working on these things} You'll be light years ahead of the rest of the net! Thanks for making all of this possible, I so longed for it to be!

well this new retro game room sounds cooler than the other. It also sounds like it wouldn't have as many problems with the games.

Ya know, this just shows that you are one of the best people in the world, spending 150 hours for people you don't even know. You deserve a cookie, a taco, a cupcake, a cake, anD tons of other tasty and awesome stuff!

It is rewarding bringing my ideas to life and seeing others enjoy them.
