When I'm recording video (in PSX), the game's sound becomes very buggy.

After I finished the recording the audio turns out fine, but the size of the video is around 2000x360.

I don't know if it is caused by my dual monitors or if this issue is caused by something else.

(note: This occurs even after I convert the video)

Does anybody know what causes this?

As far as I'm aware that is actually caused by the plugin's build in recorder. The only way to solve it really is to use an alternative screen-recorder. For example I use camtasia and it works much better since the screen ratio is properly done. If you don't have a recording program like camtasia you can always try hyper-cam or similar to see the results. Of-course since the system is relatively new you may have to wait a while for the built in recorder to work correctly. Hope this helps anyway. Also what do you use to "convert" your video? If your using freemake you may wish to make a preset to cater for the system.

I used freemake, yes. The problem I had was in the .mov format also. I can view it in VLC and it stays the same size (2000x360).

Thanks also, I'll take a look around for a different recording software.

I'm having trouble recording also; after I hit stop it does save it but it says it's a 10GB file and it doesn't show the timer.  I have also been trying to put it into Freemake where it says it could not be found.  I've tried hitting upload through the "step 2" for the Vizzed page that pops up automatically once the stop recording option is selected, but with absolutely no response.  Am I doing anything wrong? I thought we were supposed to record using the tools on the site.

huygeb : Hmm it sounds like a few things might be going wrong here.

If you are saving a 10gig file you would need to use Freemake to convert it to a smaller more manageable size. In order to do so, you must be sure that the file is saved correctly.

Sometimes if you close out of the emulator window without clicking the "Stop" button on the game window, the file does not save correctly (index isn't built) or sometimes the file extension isn't marked properly.

If you are trying to upload a 10gig video to YouTube it will time out. That's probably the issue you are experiencing there.

Jordanv78 : Very good, interesting point. The thing is that I was going through Freemake, so I am not sure if I would simply need to record in smaller portions but if that would help that's certainly what I'll do.
Also there is another issue I've run into, but it related to posting something else unrelated; would you mind if I PM'ed?

huygeb : Thing is, once you record the video you want and convert it with Freemake, it should make the file a whole lot smaller than 10 gigs. No need to split up the recording unless your computer isn't really up to snuff as far as video editing/converting goes.

Just convert the file to .avi. Youtube deals with those file sizes easily.

No problem if you need to PM me. I'm always happy to help.
