yes its sad that he died he was a pop legend from a kid to a man. he made a lot of mistakes but he is still mikal

I was just devastated when I heard the news. Its gonna be a long time before I can listen to music again, every song seems sad now and makes me think of him

On the positive side, the kids he molested will be able to sleep better now.

I'm not a fan but, I was a bit shocked, poor Michael Jackson.

I find it more shocking that he had a cardiac arrest (heart attack), it's weird because he looked healthy (ignoring the pale face due to plastic surgery) and his age...

Firstly, as the news made a repeated point of drilling into our heads, cardiac arrest is not a heart attack, the heart is still working during a heart attack while cardiac arrest is when the heart literally stops working completely, it is much scarier.

Secondly, while it is sad that he went that way I am already sick of all of these tributes and kind words from people that more than likely do not mean it (except those creepy uber-fans of his). They were talking about his life on CNN yestday and of course the molestation trial came up and someone else in the room got offended that they brought it up. Why'd they bring it up? Because it was a part of his life, you dumb b****, that's why.

Seriously though, in the past few months we have lost more than just Jackson. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and David Carradine also died recently... Fawcett actually died about two hours before Michael... but all the press and everyone else talks about is him. She had a major battle with cancer, she documented her struggle and released it as a movie so that people could see what it was like, she was a Charlie's Angel for crying out loud, and it seems like no one cares. What about Ed McMahon? Major celebrity, forgotton. David Carradine? Anyone? Major star, played Bill in Kill Bill?

This just seems to be the year of major celebrity deaths. Let's hope they take one no one cares about next... like the lady that wrote Twilight or Brittany Spears or someone like that.

And NotJon... mini 9/11? Really? Gods help you when you get into the real world if Michael Jackson dying is like a mini 9/11 to you. There are so many things I can say to that, but I'm honestly at a loss for words that can describe what I am feeling.

i for 1 am heartbroken by his death. he was much like a hero to me, although i didn't notice until he died.

Its awful that he died. He was my IDOL.

Just the other day I was listening to KROQ I couldn't help but laugh as they made fun of him. After hearing about his death I can't help but feel at the very least a little bad.

I still crack jokes now, doesn't make them less funny. One of my friends called me with the following:

Him: Hey, do you know what the deterioration rate of plastic is?
Me: No, what is it?
Him: Ask Michael Jackson in 100 years.
Me: *giggle fit*

And the media was not helping. I'm sorry but the phrase "he touched the world" should not be applied to wacko jacko. I heard that and in my mind added "one little boy at a time"

and honestly... I think the world is actually trying too hard to miss him... as if we have anything to miss... the guy hasn't made music in 15 years... and basically all he's been since then is either a child molester or baby dangler.... why do we miss this guy?

And, no offense to the MJ fans, but, quite frankly, I don't really care.
Sure he was a good singer and etc, but that's about it. You say sorry for his death and continue on, not weep and cry over it like the media just loves to do.
Hell, they'd even bend over if they got a story from it....

I don't see how he was so inspiring and all that. He was a good musician, but not a groundbreaking one. Also, he wasn't that great of a person (to put it nicely)

Serious though, I agree with you, RIP to all who've passed this year famous or not. I generally wait til Samhain for those reflections but with so many dying right now it's kinda hard not to think about it. Oh, and Fred Travalena (better known as The Man of a Thousand Voices) passed away today at 66 from lymphoma. Another one bites the dust....

Someone needs to tell famous people to stop dying already. They're dropping like flies

Michael Jackson can't be cremated because his body consists to 86% of plastic, therefore he will be recycled into toys, so that children can keep playing with him after his death.


On a more serious note, I didn't like the man at all, in fact I find him to be a disgusting swine. But there's no denying that the world lost a very talented musician with his death.

MJ, I won't miss you, but I'll miss your music.
