However, it is a little weird to me that only one person need to put another person in their friend's list in order to see what they do, which kinda makes it more like a "creeper list" if the other person doesn't add you back as a friend.

Black Bot : If it shows too much than you're going to miss all of the important updates. I think everyone would agree that it shows the correct amount of updates. If a friend wins a jersey, it's pretty obvious because their name has a background. I'll eventually give users the option to select which types of user related updates display in that box.
